There is so much it's hard to put it all down. Hagen has been coming here since he was four years old. Archer tried it a couple of years ago but wasn't ready. He is now back and doing great. Hagen has done an excellent job of advancing through the ranks and he will be testing for his sub black belt today at 1 PM!! We are all very excited for him! The Hatchets have been more than patient in coping with some of the challenges Hagen (as well as other kids) pose. Archer has been in his white belt and tested today for his yellow belt. He did a great job. We will see the results of all of today's testing Monday night at 6:30 PM. Mr. and Mrs. .Hatchet own this location and do a wonderful job with all the kids! They offer a lot of different programs with in the martial arts arena and their programs span from four years old and up until you're under the earth instead of on top! They also offer a lot of summer camps which are fun and instructional for the kids. The afterschool program is very unique in that the kids are picked up from school by a Tiger Rock van-and in addition to some down time, and school work time , they always have a class in their specific rank /group. It's a great way to reinforce their routine classes during the week. The boys practice at home as well and now that Hagen is working on his black belt he is a great example to Archer and helps him along the way. This is a positive step for both boys as with Brothers this close in age, it's pretty much rough and tumble all the time.

We were introduced to Coach Colin through a friend as he was just opening Hutto BJJ. He was extremely flexible and met our weekend schedule needs. We immediately liked him for his communication style, diverse martial arts knowledge, and is great with kids. We recently had another private...our son is now 9, and coach is now a Professor! I think its going to be our thing to book a private before tournaments. He goes through as many topics and scenarios as you can handle. Its like cramming before a test and I think its invaluable and affordable! As a side note: My 2yo was going nuts with his play setup. She also liked him instantly. My son is naturally shy and reserved but the supportive environment has helped him gain confidence, improve his body awareness, and begin opening up both in and out of class. Most importantly he looks forward to each lesson and leaves happy. The facility is clean and well maintained with a small seating area for parents while we wait. His current class is for ages 4-7 and the activities are very age appropriate. Sessions include cardio and flexibility training with Taekwondo techniques and finishing with fun games that keep the kids engaged. Classes currently have about eight children so there is plenty of personal attention. Ms. Amy knows every child by name and makes sure to give encouragement and extra help when needed. Progress is measured through testing so the kids can clearly see how they are moving forward in belt progression. Communication with parents is handled through both email and an app. The pricing is higher than some other martial arts programs we considered but the location and scheduled times are very both convenient for us. Overall, we are very impressed and happy here.

Yet he does so extremely well adapting with his class. THE INSTRUCTORS ARE AMAZING!! They are so kind and attentive. He comes out of class with such a strong heart. He is learning so many things at once and I'm so proud of him. I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone who wants an actual martial arts training/ experience. My son goes twice a week. I feel my money and time are used towards such a great company. I'm really really happy we found this place and the staff. Love Rise. Truly happy here. My son has been in the after school program for a while now…read more.. Recently he jumped over a belt and is now a 2nd degree red belt... one level away from a black belt! Many years ago when we joined rise I would have never guessed how he would take to the program. I have to give credit to the school, the instructors, and their core teachings! They know how to teach... serious and solid but also know when to have fun and keep it light. I've watched my son grow up a lot in these classes... I'm very proud of the young man he is becoming and again I have to say... thank you Rise!

Master Mike Hill has been teaching traditional Soryu Karate for over 20 years and has won countless championships in the Texas Amateur Karate Organization. He runs his own tournament yearly and is a fixture in the karate community. My Son's karate skill level ramped up rapidly after we started taking him here and as a result has one first place at many of the tournaments. I had no idea what to expect and am usually easily intimidated by these sorts of gyms or anything involving self-defense. I was greeted with nothing but friendly faces and positive vibes. The lessons are always slightly changed just enough to keep you engaged and mentally stimulated, but not in a harsh crossfit like environment. They are also tailor to a wide range of fitness levels, and everyone is treated equally. Classes vary, so you can choose what works best for your comfort level, and work to higher levels if you need a challenge. Also, I've seen so many members lose weight, and have a blast doing it...so it's a weight-loss gym in Round Rock, as well. They let you try classes for free, so you have nothing to lose, but the weight and whatever fear you had before joining. I've worked from home for 10 years, and this locally owned, self-defense gym, truly felt like a blessing, and filled a void for me on so many levels. I will forever be grateful. I did the commercial gym for ages with no results, but Round Rock Krav Maga was different and I finally saw results, emotionally and physically.
