Another delicious meal! Service is always efficient and friendly. The scrambler is one of my favorites since they have so many options of proteins, vegetables, and cheeses. I had a broccoli, cheddar, and ham scrambler but somehow forgot to get a photo. They also have really great English muffins! My friend said the quiche and salad were excellent! They give you a number and deliver your food to you. From order to delivery for breakfast, it wasn't even 10 minutes. Prairie Cafe is my go-to place for brunch. I have eaten here more times than I can count, and the food is consistently delicious. My family eats here often and we all have our favorites. I am a creature of habit and have a three egg omelette every time - sometimes with sourdough, sometimes with the potatoes...and sometimes with both. ;) My kids enjoy their pancakes and French toast. The servers are always patient and have smiles on their faces. The restaurant is clean and bright, and I love how much seating there is. Why hadn't I been here before? Went for breakfast with my husband and was impressed with how easy the experience was. The menu is pretty extensive. You order at the counter, and they give you a number. We grabbed a table. The food was prompt even though almost all tables were full. We each got a breakfast burrito. My veggie one was packed with ingredients and was rolled well so it didn't fall apart as you eat. This is a larger dining area than I expected, with large windows so it's bright inside. Coffee and condiments are all self-service. They have the to-go boxes out. I love when places do this so you don't have to ask a server for every little thing. They have thought things through. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating. This place fills esp on the weekends. You order at the counter, breakfast and lunch only and they give you a number to take to your table. The girl who took our order was super sweet Great bakery selection! I got the blueberry lemon scone and colectivo coffee. When you eat here you can use a mug or a to go cup. It's by the pump so I mixed the decaf with the blue heeler. Remembering colectivo being acidic but this was smoothe and no acidic taste at all. Fresh, hot perfect. Scone was yummy and I love the water fill section being easy to get to no matter where you sit. This place really has it figured out. Go! read more

You order when you walk in, they give you a number and bring your food out to your table. The service was so quick and efficient. I had a breakfast skillet and a stack of pancake with a cup of coffee. The skillet had fresh veggies, sausages, potatoes and fresh eggs. The pancake was nice and fluffy. The food is somewhat expensive considering the portion sizes. When we moved to Middleton in '07, this place was incredibly popular and a perfect reason for a long stroll. It's always crowded, making it difficult to find a seat. Parking can be a pain as well; you might have to park quite a distance down the hill in the neighborhood. I've come here a few times now for breakfast and am always pleased with what I get. I do wish I could get breakfast potatoes as a side with my breakfast meal, but none of them come with it. You can order an a la carte of breakfast potatoes, but my word do you get a lot... it's more like a full order (but they're delicious!). The food is good, staff is nice, and the atmosphere is great for meeting groups small or large. I do wish I could sip a mimosa while I waited for my food, but alas they don't serve alcohol. Overall, the food is good and the menu is plentiful. At peak times it gets so busy I just avoid the place, but if it's that popular I guess that says something as well. They do also serve lunch, but I have never been here for lunch. Maybe someday I'll sacrifice breakfast food and try something. The lunch sandwiches do sound pretty yummy. read more
