Lucy's was a prime location to meet my niece for lunch. Neither of us had eaten there, but we both heard it was good, so naturally it was our first choice. I had an excellent salad (the "Lucy's Salad" - bascailly a chef's salad). The balance was really good, and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. A home run as I wanted to eat healthy. My niece had the french toast and raved about it (I watched with envy...) Service was friendly and attentive. I'd definitely go back there - I just need a reason to get to the area! read more

Attentive service was really surprising because of how busy it was. Gyro omlet was tasty and warm.

We stopped there for breakfast today. The kids started With pancakes which they loved. They forgot to put the whip cream on them so the waitress brought a big bowl of real whipped cream enough to share. We asked for bacon crisp and it came nice and crisp. My Crescent breakfast sandwich was delicious and large. We also tried the chicken soup as it was a cold day. It was very good think with noodles and a light broth. The lunch plates that went by to other tabled made me want to come back to Lucy's and try lunch someday. read more

Up from Texas and we visit Lucy's at least a couple of times every visit every year. Give me great breakfast with good service and great local banter over some sterile Denny's or IHOP any day. read more

I thought the food was just okay but definitely nothing spectacular. I ordered their garden skillet and added ham and pomegranate hot tea. Nothing to rave about. The place has a slight retro feel to it which was kind of cool but would be a lot neater if they committed to that vibe. read more

Don't understand the 2 star reviews on here about portions/food quality. It's a small town diner, with a small town feel. Our food came quickly, and for the price, I was surprised at How much food we got. Good luck getting the same deal in Madison. I finished my plate ((biscuits and gravy)) and wasn't left wanting more. Stopped here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. We thought it was a good sign that the parking lot was full. Well....that may not always be a good sign. Our waitress was quick and attentive. She was friendly and nice. My husband had the Eggs Benedict and was disappointed that the Hollandaise sauce seemed like more of a cheese sauce. The side of bacon was just OK - and with the Lodi Sausage Company less than a mile away, it kind of boggles the mind that they wouldn't serve their award-winning bacon. I had the biscuits and gravy with two over-easy eggs on top. It was delicious and covered with maybe a little too much gravy. (is that possible?) The glass of tomato juice that I had seemed watered-down. Really a funny taste to it. Our food was acceptable but I don't think we'll be back. read more

Lucy's has had many owners since I have lived in Lodi. This one is by far not the greatest! The menu is huge for a place that is only open till 3pm. The food is good not great but just good. The busiest time is for breakfast and they do serve that "all day!" When I go to Lucy's which is not that often I always get there breakfast usually a skillet or omelette it is always plain no special flavors. The prices are alright I believe you get what you pay for there. read more

We have never felt more unwelcome to enter a restaurant. When we walked in, we were greeted right away and told to sit anywhere. Well, anywhere except where walked to sit. We found a seat and a waitress came over to take our drink orders. Polite, but not friendly, she definitely was not [;eased that we were there. She came back to take our food orders. I ordered a burger and she asked if the fries were ok. I asked if I got a choice (as the menus states) and her reply was that they were trying to close. (We were there over an hour before closing.) I asked about the soup the menu says is also included and her reply was that they were out because they were close to closing. The best she could do was a salad and even they were running out of that. I looked at the other tables and they had soup cups. At least they could have deducted something from our final bill, as I assume we paid for the soup. Our food came out fairly fast. It could have been faster, as we could see it sitting there on the counter, but our waitress was busy trying to close. It was also good. The next time she came to our table was to bring the bill. We paid and left 10 minutes before closing. We won't be back. read more

Good, clean, basic, local family place. Mostly booths, a few stools. Good assortment of the usual items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices are average for cozy little diners like this. Busy Saturday for lunch but no wait. Waitress was very good -- efficient, friendly. Waffle and Denver omelet were average. Tables were cleared promptly, (carpeted) floor was clean, unstained and not worn thin and seating was clean and not ripped or tattered (as is common in small diners). We'll return to this decent little place. read more
