Such a lovely shopping experience! There were a lot of sales happening when I came by, so all the clothing was at even more of a reasonable price. They have a great selection of soft, high quality outdoor and activewear. I was honestly most impressed by how they handled the fitting rooms. There wasn't a room available when I got in line, but instead of needing to wait, I gave them my name and I was able to chill in a waiting area and keep shopping until they called me. I have loved their stuff from the first day I set eyes on this store . The clothes are super comfy and I really like their fabrics. This shop has much more variety in my opinion compared to other Outlets that store Prana Clothes . The location is perfect and the store is bright and well organized . The staff is helpful and welcoming. Prices tend to vary based on the item and err on the side of expensive but I think this is quality stuff that lasts a good while . My partner has been ordering online from Prana for years, so he really wanted to stop by the store. He's a fan of their quality and also how their sizing fits his build. I loved how bright and spacious the store was. It was very clean and inviting too. I particularly liked that their racks weren't overly full (so you could easily look at what was hanging) but weren't empty either. I've never shopped here so had to test out some sizes. The dressing rooms were very spacious and I LOVED that the mirrors had lighting settings you could adjust. I wish all stores had that! We were lucky enough to have stopped in during a 50% off sale as well so the prices weren't as high as some of the other reviewers noted. I am a long time fan of Prana and in the past only ordered online..... I was totally missing out on all the loveliness that is the actual shop. Located in the shopping district that is NW 23rd you walk into this shop and are warmly greeted by a Prana associate. The shop is well organized and I can find more than what I'm after quickly. The associates are super helpful will grab you new sizes while you're trying on and offer suggestions (all without any pressure, just friendly). A side note- after a large purchase I had to return something. You know that awkward return for a return visit. Well, the Prana associated made it super easy without any guilt. I had my receipt, tags on etc and it was a simple transaction. If you're an athletic outdoor type and like to dress for both a hike and a beer this is your shop. read more

prAna is one of my all-time favorite clothing companies but coming from Texas, I had never been to one of their retail stores before. My husband and I were so excited to check this store out and it did not disappoint. The three employees of the store that we interacted with were extremely nice and helpful but not overbearing. If I had any questions or issues, they were quick in answering/resolving them and even made suggestions if I asked for them. When I went in, I probably went overboard and picked out just about one of everything to try on which was probably a pain for the employees but they were cheerful throughout my shopping process. As I was picking things out, one of the employees would occasionally come grab the items I had picked out and take it to the dressing room area so I didn't have to carry a bunch of clothes around. Once I was ready to try the clothing on, I went up to the dressing room where everything I had picked out was together and while there was a short wait time, the queue process to get people into a dressing room worked well. The dressing room I was in was clean and spacious. The employee working the dressing room area was accommodating and would check in occasionally to see if there were any sizes or other items I wanted to try on and if there were, she would immediately go grab whatever it was they needed for me. One perk I found out about when I tried on some jeans that were too long was that the store offers a free hem if needed. When we were ready to check out, the third employee made the process quick and easy for the large amount of items that we ended up with. He also found some additional items that we were interested in but hadn't been able to find up until that point. When we were finished, we walked out as very happy customers and wished that we lived closer to a prAna store because of our experience. read more

- Positive rating but with feedback - - Customer service? Typically they're reliable and helpful. They used to reply within days or answer their phones. But now during the pandemic, their customer service has become been super slow. It now takes several WEEKS to hear back from them. In giving Prana a high rating still, I'm also giving them the benefit of the doubt that they'll return to having good customer service post-pandemic. - Shipping? It's a gamble as to whether or not my orders will arrive intact. Their shipping bags get damaged easily. I also dislike that return shipping was not free when returning a defective item. - Fabrics? I hope Prana continues reducing their dependence on synthetics. It seems they've made some progress in recent seasons? A major shift is possible these days. Even for athletic clothes. Biobased technical fabrics are already available, yet they remain very under-utilized industrywide. I've seen reviews online from some of their other customers also wishing for more natural fabrics. So the market demand is there too. - Prana's clothing quality usually lives up to its good reputation. Their fabric is usually durable. Also unlike many brands these days, they don't take lots of shortcuts in sewing their clothes. I've also been happy with Prana's product warranty. read more

The online customer service by Kevin and Daniel was terrific for a gift exchange that I needed to make. The original item was purchased at full price Appalachian Outdoors in Pennsylvania but I did not have a gift receipt and did not want to embarrass the gift giver by asking for one from him. I wanted to upgrade the item to a different style and prAna accommodated me by giving me a credit for full price of the returned item and letting me purchase the upgraded item at sale price, so that I did not have to pay anything in the end. She was so helpful and made making the return and finding the style of jeans I was looking for so easy and quick. Beyond being professional and friendly, I believe that she really wanted to help me find what I was looking for. No pressure, no sales pitch, just genuine desire to help me get what I wanted to find. So Prana has an event for people on social media where you get 50% off The entire store. So it's a really fun event with a DJ, beer and snacks and even kombucha this time! The only problem is you kinda have to get there early because sizes go quick especially on the cool styles. The store is on Northwest 23rd and it is pretty inviting and relaxing to go into. My only gripe is the cost of the clothing. I think it is somewhat overpriced but the quality is pretty darn good too. read more

In a city where clothing options seem to be split between soulless chain stores and hipster boutiques, prAna is a refreshing oasis of awesomeness. Sure, the clothes here are expensive, but you get what you pay for when it comes to quality and comfort. All of the prAna clothes I've bought feel amazing, and they're great for casual wear, outdoor hikes and bike rides, and even somewhat more formal settings. Everything lasts a lot longer as well so in the long run I'm spending less on clothes overall. Store-wise, this place has the biggest selection I've seen, and the employees are all extremely nice, passionate about their products, and happy. I was visiting Portland, and stumbled upon this store on my shopping excursion with my mom. I am a big fan of Prana, buying it from Rei and Athleta in the past. When my mother and I entered, we were promptly greeted and even given a HH 25%, so double bonus! The store was set up really well, and everything was organized. The staff was very helpful and cheerful throughout our shopping experience, providing great product information as well. I ended up buy a great hoodie and a yoga mat. The salesperson at the register was also great, helping me decide on my final selections. I will definitely buy from Prana again, and visit the San Francisco store in the future. Prana is pretty much my favorite brand. Everything fits me great, I love the style and ther stuff holds up. Are usually get my stuff through Columbia channels since that's who owns them now so this is my first time going to the store. It was OK, they didn't have what I was looking for because they have their spring stuff out. But a really helpful sales associate help me find something for my wife which I love and I think she'll love to. It's on a great street all the parking is tough in the store itself is pretty cool. *This review is for their free yoga classes* I am very grateful to Prana for offering free yoga courses, especially since I've been unemployed for some time. This allows me to continue my practice and I appreciate it. Its not ideal, though, because the courses occur during regular business hours and there is no wall between the class and customers (ie; its loud at times and disruptive during yoga). But, beggars can't be choosers! I do have feedback for management- consider getting a new donation box, one that's covered. [I've even seen other studios use an empty tissue box.] The open donation "crate" makes those who don't have a lot of $$ uncomfortable when considering a donation (particularly when you can only give $1 or $2). I think having a covered box will greatly increase the number of donations and keep quality yoga teachers coming back. read more

Loved this store and the service! I came in looking for a pair of climbing pants as I ripped a hole in my other ones. When I walked in, I was immediately and warmly greeted by a couple of people who worked here. I asked a lot of questions about the different models of pants, and found the ones I was looking for. However, they didn't have my size out on the floor...but, I was informed that they had just gotten a ton of new shipments in, and instead of telling me to come back and check later when the shipments were out (like most stores would have) the person who helped me (Jen or Jennifer was her name I believe) rummaged through boxes for 10 minutes and found my size! They even offered to alter it for free for me if it didn't fit - I walked away feeling stoked to have a great new pair of climbing pants and feeling really well taken care of - these are the kind of experiences that make customers want to return! I'm actually kind of nervous putting it out there because the classes are already full, but I feel I just need to put out the praises for how wonderful of a gift Prana is giving the people of Portland. If you're like me, you enjoy the occasional class, once a week, twice a month, whatever! So it's tough to pay a ton of money when you don't go often. So, a total plus is when the teacher is amazing!!!! Ashley is such a gem. I have always loved Prana clothing and usually buy at REI or online. I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon the store recently. They have creative designs, beautiful colors and soft, moveable fabrics. The prices are high, I agree, but the items that I have purchased have lasted for years. The Portland store is employed by some really nice people who are very helpful. I also appreciate the nice seating area with the baskets of toys to keep visiting children occupied. read more

Rip off warning!! I received a Christmas gift from Prana with a gift receipt. When I returned the item, the store policy did not allow their employee to refund the amount even though the gift receipt indicated that full price was paid because it does not provide the information on whether it was a cash or credit purchase. Either a credit card or cash refund would have been fine with me. Their policy is that without the original receipt -- only store credit can be provided. Why even have gift receipts?? This is a total RIP OFF -- I will never shop there again. read more

My wife and I stopped into this Prana store for the first time on our trip to Portland. All 3 of the people working were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us try on clothes and find new items. If you're not familiar with the Prana brand, it's basically a mix of yoga, rock climbing, and travel type clothing. All their clothing is very comfortable. I recently visited PrAna for a special event and LOVED the store! The selection is awesome and the style surprised me. I'd always thought of the brand as more function than fashion but I walked away with clothes that I'm obsessed with- jeans, dress, tank, and yoga pants. Granted the yoga pants were almost as much as my jeans but the quality does speak for itself. You get what you pay for my friends and PrAna is totally worth it! This place is the sh!t! I bought a pair of Stretch Zion pants a couple of weeks ago and refused to take them off! My girlfriend was starting to get pissed off about the smell so I went back and got another pair. But seriously, they are the best commuting pants I've ever had! Waterproof? Check. Roll/snap pant cuff? Check Stretchy, breathable fabric? Check Also the cute girl in the store told me that they have free yoga classes. I love Prana's clothes, they fit fantastic and last. This 1-star review is for their customer service at the NW 23rd location. I went in a few weeks ago and tried some clothing on. The lady who helped me (reddish-blonde hair in her 30s) was pretty helpful in helping me find clothes and colors that work. After trying on the items, I told her that I was eligible for the Columbia Friends and Family discount and asked if it was possible to purchase the items in store. After she told me that I could only purchase the items online, her attitude instantly switched. She became inattentive and didn't check up on me in her now-noticeably fake, cheery voice. She gave me an attitude like I wasn't "good enough" to shop there because I wanted to purchase items at a discount. A few weeks later after ordering the items online, I went into the store and went up to the counter, (the same woman was working) and I asked, "Hello, I ordered these items online and was wondering if I could do a possible exchange for a different size". I didn't mention my discount. She then answered in a quick, cold voice, "If you purchased those items through the Columbia discount program, you have to do it online. I remember you. It has to be through their channels and not us. No in-store exchanges." There was no smile. No apology. She didn't even question that they could possibly not be discounted. It was the tone of her voice and the way that she said it. It's hard to make it come across in writing, but she was cold to me. It put a weird tone to the whole rest of my boyfriend and I's evening. My boyfriend agreed that her attitude was uncalled for. Writing a Yelp review may not be the best way to get this feedback across, but this needed to be said. No customer deserves to be treated that way. I apologize if I couldn't contribute to your commission. This is the first review I've ever written. I'm a flexible gal. I'm not blowing things out of proportion. I have years of customer service experience and that was some of the snappiest service I had ever received. I was even nice enough to put back all the clothes I wanted to exchange and on my way out she gave me the death stare and said "Have a great night!" in a completely un-genuine voice. This is a great store. The clothes are cool, but the employees are the best! While I was shopping, I asked the employee behind the counter if she could hold onto a backpack I had just purchased at Arcteryx. She quickly obliged, and I went back to my shirt search. At the counter the person helping me was so helpful, and professionally engaging that after I paid for my shirts, I totally forgot that I had a backpack behind the counter. The part I was so impressed about is that they had worked so hard to make sure I got my backpack returned to me. They even went so far as to go to Arcteryx and ask about getting ahold of me to let me know I had left it behind. Simple I know, but today, this is a rare occurrence.
