We recently had problems with sinks that would not drain. A friend recommended Pratt Plumbing. She said they provided good service and had reasonable prices. I contacted the company and made an appointment for the following day. The plumber was prompt and after examining the sinks told me the problem and offered 2 remedies along with the price for each. He went to work and fixed the problem. He was courteous, professional, the price was reasonable, the work was warranted and he did not leave a mess. I had a bad experience with this company twice. I will not have any more though. The owner would never return my calls so I just need to warn any other potential customers to find another plumber. I wanted to voice my unhappiness with the owner before posting a bad review. I will say NEVER buy a hot water heater from them. I got a Rheem and it was under warranty and I ended up almost paying for a new one. They did not want me to call Rheem and when I told them what went on the only thing they would reimburse me for was the dip tube for $20.00 which was not on the work order and never got them to put it in the order. Our water heater started leaking so we were looking for a replacement. We called our usual plumber but got a voice mail saying they'd call right back. We called others that refused to give us an estimate over the phone. After a couple of hours with no call back, we called our HVAC company to see if they did water heaters. They said no but recommended Pratt Plumbing. My wife called and was told about what it might cost. She asked them if they could do it that day. They showed up and looked it over and asked if she wanted it done. Of course we did, and it turned out that he even brought the right size with him just in case. He was fast and very professional. Everything was installed, checked, and explained. Cost was right on the estimate. We found our new plumber. It's been four days and still no call back from our other plumber. Called this company a week or so ago in need of assistance. They were backed up but scheduled me anyway which was much appreciated. I later was able to teach myself how to fix the problem on my own and called to notify them that there was no longer an issue. They were understanding and apologized for the lengthy schedule out time. I will definetly be calling again when something I do not understand breaks. read more

Nothing worse than to have plumbing problems when you have company. Called Pratt Plumbing and they were able to get us scheduled for service quickly. We were back in great shape within the hour. Kitchen drain had plugged and some leaks under the sink. We had a boot on the garbage disposal rot and leaking. He gave us a price up front and got everything done within that quote. Great service! Our laundry room and kitchen sink backed up. Came out the same day to fix it. Really friendly and quick! He came out and snaked the lines from inside the house and had no issues. He was very clean and organized. Price was great with the "first time customer" discount. I attempted to set up a service request with an incredibly rude Andrea at Pratt Plumbing. I was told their diagnostic fee is $135.65 just to tell me what the problem is and that does not include any labor to correct the problem. I mentioned that price was high to which she replied 'well I'm sorry we couldn't meet your budget needs.' Andrea then hung up the phone on me without giving me a chance to respond or let her know if we would still be interested in having them send a plumber out! What kind of customer service is that? Stay away from this company. First the tried to install osmotic water filter for kitchen sink. Multiple attempts simply unable to do it. Blamed the device, blamed the pipes, blamed everything but their own incompetence. Oh, be sure they billed for every visit though could not finish job, without leaks. Then, called them to fix small leak under utility sink. Could not finish job. We came home, room flooded. The husband wife team on phone said just a coincidence. Sent someone out next day. Still small leak. Told us bad plumbing. To bad. Pay the bill. Different plumbing service came out, repaired in 5 minutes. Called culligan. Came out, installed osmotic filter in 5 minutes. No problem. No leaks. Don't be fooled by Pratts 25$ coupon. Unreliable and take no responsibility for their incompetent (and rude---you don't want to know) people they send out. Poor workmanship. Poor customer service in follow up to complaints of poor workmanship. Unprofessional and poorly informed/trained service man sent to perform repairs. Very disappointed with each service call. Don't be fooled by the 25 dollar coupon. Will cost you more with multiple trips to solve problem, even basic issue like leaky faucet. read more
