What's one thing that you don't want to happen during a pandemic? Your pet gets sick and needs…read moremedical attention. Well, our poor kitty came down with a UTI and we were SO stressed. Our usual vet (who is great btw) was closed for the week!!! We called a few other highly rated vet offices, and they never called back. Needless to say, I was so thankful this office answered my call and squeezed her in to their next available appointment. My husband and I are taking every precaution right now, given the rising numbers of COVID in Florida, and I was thankful this business was supportive of that. They did the curbside pickup where we parked and dropped her off. Then they called to share the results. The Vet spent almost 15 minutes on the phone with me walking me through what they treated and next steps -- greatly appreciated! They gave her several rounds of antibiotics, and she seems to be back to her normal self. They seem to take a lot of precautions here, so I will be dropping off another sample to them to make sure everything still looks good. (Fingers crossed) I also was really grateful because my cat deals with digestive issues (it's been an issue for years). We've tried everything from different prescription foods to meds to keep it in check. Nothing really worked great. This vet was the first one to recommend a different diet that really seems to do the trick!!!! If I had to take her in, a positive of all this is that we discovered this new food to give her. The office staff has been wonderful. I've been a paranoid pet parent and have called with several questions ... and they always respond with patience and the help I need. I also appreciate how they go above and beyond to make sure we're comfortable. For example, when I drop off samples, they are willing to meet me in the parking lot so I don't have to go in. I'm sure it's an extra burden on them, but we so appreciate it. Thank you, South Lake Animal Hospital team, for making my cat all better!

They clearly saw me but still let me stand out in the rain. Once 8 o'clock came around they unlocked the door 2 feet away from me but I had to open up myself. When I got inside, I wasn't greeted with a hello. Only "who do we have here? ". The whole front office staff was nothing but cold and unwelcoming as if they were all miserable. In addition the front desk girl was asking me questions I already answered before making my appointment: This showed me that there was a lack of communication or care about her properly doing her job. If I hadn't put a deposit down already, I would have immediately turned around and walked out. In addition, I was given a different estimate while in the office (significantly higher) than the one given to me over the phone when I CLEARLY explained what needed to be done after already seeing another vet for an examination. This is not a place I will ever support again or recommend.

Luke is an almost 8 year old Golden Retriever that I rescued when he was 2 years old. While I don't…read more know exactly what happened during the first part of his life, it was clear he came with a tremendous amount of fear and insecurity. For the past five years, I poured everything I had into helping him, but there were some things I simply couldn't overcome on my own. Luke wasn't just anxious-he was an extreme anxiety case. He has severe storm and crate anxiety, had broken out of multiple crates and severely injuring himself in the process, and had a bite history. He struggled with strangers, especially men, and I honestly wasn't sure anyone could help him at his age. From day one, Ray approached Luke with incredible patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to understand Luke - not just apply a one size fits all training program. He learned what motivated Luke and adjusted his training to hit him. The transformation has been incredible. Luke can now calmly settle in a crate, has learned to stay focused on me instead of his surroundings, and is so much more confident around people. Just as importantly, Ray taught me how to better understand Luke's body language and redirect him before he becomes overwhelmed. He didn't just train my dog, he taught me how to help him succeed. I was terrified to send Luke to board and train. I was worried he would bite Ray (he definitely tried a few times), shut down, or feel abandoned. Instead, Ray kept me updated, showed incredible patience, and never gave up on him. The biggest testament to Ray's work is their relationship. Luke has always struggled with men, but now he gets excited every time he sees Ray. The first time I dropped him off to board after training, he happily walked right inside with Ray and didn't even look back at me. That moment meant everything. Ray makes training fun, and the dogs genuinely love him. Beyond the training, Ray has given me something priceless: peace of mind. For years, I avoided vacations and taking any time away because I never trusted anyone to keep Luke safe. Now I finally have someone I trust completely. I met with several trainers before finding Ray, but something never felt right until I met him. If you have a dog with anxiety, fear, or behavior challenges, don't give up. Ray is patient, compassionate, and truly trains the dog in front of him, not the dog he wishes he had. Thank you Ray, for believing in Luke and teaching me how to be a better owner to him.
