The new location in Greenwich village is really close to the west 4th street subway stop, so easy for me to visit either from home in Brooklyn or the office in midtown. It was a Friday afternoon and he was booked up, but he offered to squeeze me in to fix it all up before he closed for the day. We've tried everything for our 8 year old son -- overpriced kids places, cheapo Astor Place cuts, etc. And we've finally found our forever barber! David was fabulous -- took our son's unruly mop and gave him the very subtle faux hawk he desired. (We wanted plenty of hair on the sides, so the reference was tously on top, short on the sides -- and David nailed it.) My son is afraid of clippers, but David has such great chairside manners that he didn't mind at all. And he did an awesome job with my husband's hair too, and all for a reasonable price.
