Guy said he'd install it since they offer the service for free. Before the new battery the battery was dying on us and was supposed to be replaced long ago. The new one would not start unless he jumped it. Tried to start it again with just the battery, still wouldn't start. We went back in to receive a core refund for our old one. Went back out and we got a jump to go home. Mid backing up the car completely turned off on us. Came back out and gave us a jump. Hooked up the machine and told us we'd need a new alternator. He tried to sell us one inside but I told him our mechanic replaced the part not even 6 months ago and it was under warranty. He asked if I trusted my mechanic and I said yes. We left. He told us we'd have to drive back through small streets with our headlights off since the lights drain the battery so much. We drove it home and it was already dark. Had my mechanic come out and he said someone tampered with the alternator and he showed me, it looked like it had been smashed in and some pieces had been broken off. You could also see greasy fingerprints all around it. He then showed me that the battery was not even properly connected. Said he wouldn't be surprised if the battery gave out a few months later from being put in improperly and driving it that way. He fixed the battery connection and replaced the alternator that was still under warranty for no charge. Never trusting another O'Reillys again. Shady people.

That's alright, the customer service was just as good. Sid checked me out as I bought lightbulbs for my vehicle as all of them had burned out. I straight up told him I didn't know how to install them. He said he would assist me -- and that he did. Not only did he install 5 bulbs but he even went back and forth inside the store to get the right tools to undo my light fixtures. Otherwise, prices are high. I don't care...this customer service is awesome. Chris was even a big help for other customers.

They have tools to lend out, they will load test your battery, and test your alternator. They usually have a deal on oil which includes certain free items like the filter etc. And speaking of oil filters, their selection is not that great and they do not carry my favorite brand Wix. They have an extensive wiper selection but I noticed that the cheapest one they had was $12. The thing that keeps me coming here as opposed to going to Walmart for the same items is their knowledgeable and attentive staff.
