It is so obvious that they care about their members and take the time to get to know their members! The workouts are incredible and different from each trainer and they really help you out with technique so that you can improve every time. This is the type of workout where you get out of it what you put into it--some days I come in feeling exhausted already from a long day and try to focus on my form and then some days I come in and focus more on power and strength! If you've never tried boxing, this is definitely the place to start and keep getting an incredible workout!

Tonight was one of the WORST experiences I've ever had at any planet fitness. I've been coming to this location ever since they opened up as I've always lived in north Dallas off Preston road so it's super convenient. Yesterday I was told no gym bags were allowed on the floor, okay no problem I'll put it in a locker; then again last night as I was leaving the gym, the overnight worker told me no gym bags; I literally was standing in front of the bathroom with my coat on waiting for my friend. Tonight, literally 2 minutes after walking in as I talked to my friend who was in the back of the gym, I got told the same thing, that bags weren't allowed on the gym floor, I started feeling like I was being harassed; I wasn't even on the gym floor. I literally still had my coat on and had JUST walked in. After putting my bag in a locker, 5 minutes later as I'm standing on the treadmill stretching and warming up with a jump rope in my hand, the same worker comes back over to me and says "sorry you can't jump rope in here". I'm like what? I've been coming to this location and every other planet fitness in Dallas since I lived here, when did jumping rope in the gym become a problem?" He goes on to hand me a sheet of paper with the rules on it, then when I told him I've jumped rope in this same gym multiple times, even yesterday right in front of him and nothing was said. He then indicates that the manager was watching me on camera and sent him a picture telling him to come tell me that I can't have my jump rope out. WAIT WHAT?! Out of 50 people in the gym, you mean to tell me another man is watching me directly from his cell phone? Why is the manager of the gym sending you pictures of me from his camera? That instantly made me and my female friend feel super uncomfortable and awkward. The worker (who's name is Anseesu or something long those lines and he says he's the team lead), then went on a spill how he remembered me from yesterday, what time I came and left the gym, what I had on and who I was with along with what I was doing. That also is SUPER WEIRD. I'm 1/60 people in the gym at night, why are you telling me this stuff and paying that close attention. That also made my female friend uncomfortable. We talk it out and eventually he leaves; 10 minutes later, we're on the smith machine working out, he literally kept watching us the entire night through the mirror and even coming around us and staring the whole time, which also made her uncomfortable and now she doesn't want to come back anymore :-( When we finally finish our workout, I go to grab some paper towels to wipe off the machine while she goes to the bathroom to wash her hands. Welp, guess what? There's no paper towels in the weight area to wipe the machine off and then my friend proceeds to tell me the bathroom is also out of paper towels. The overnight shift lead (Aneeesu) literally talked and flirted with the female in the picture for at least 1/2 of our workout. As we were leaving, we chatted in the locker area for about 10 minutes and the ENTIRE time, this couple stood at the front desk waiting on a worker to come help them check in but the worker was too busy flirting with the female in the fitness area to notice. Needless to say I'm VERY disappointed and upset that this happened and the fact that we BOTH no longer feel comfortable coming to a gym that's 5 miles from where we stay is unacceptable.

The pool is never too crowded in summer which is great! The work shop classes quickly turn into a sales pitch for personal training so be aware of that if you don't want to be solicited to. My biggest knock to my rating (4 stars instead of 5) is there is always a good amount of dust and hair upstairs near the Alpha and GTX areas. It needs to be deep cleaned under machines and around equipment not just vacuumed in the main walk ways. It's pretty easy to spot large dust bunnies when you're on the ground doing ab work outs. Overall I like it and it's been a great gym.

I took their hot yoga class, which was both refreshing and energizing. The instructor was incredibly kind and hands-on with her guidance, making the class enjoyable for all levels. The facility itself has so much to offer! It really feels like a one-stop shop for fitness and wellness. There's a small cafe on-site, which is perfect for grabbing something before or after a workout. They also have multiple pickleball courts, which adds a fun, social element to the experience. My favorite part was definitely the recovery area. They offer cryotherapy, infrared light therapy, compression, and massage chairs. I personally tried the compression therapy and was very satisfied with how it made me feel afterward. Overall, this is an amazing space if you're looking to combine workouts, recovery, and convenience all in one place!

This place definitely strikes me as a place simply for trainers to work with their clients. When I…read morewalked in with my two week pass there was no one there to greet me, but a trainer(possibly manager) waved me over and told me where the locker room was, and that I should sign in. That was it. No tour, no nothing. I didn't even sign a waiver. I understand that that this guy couldn't really do anything because he was working with a client, but this was even more casual than 24 hour fitness. For the two weeks that I was there, I saw only two other people working out there without trainers. Because this is really for people who workout with trainers, this is an interesting environment. It's the opposite of a meat-and-greet like LA fitness, it feels very cliquish. Everyone is paired up. Except for me. I'm all alone. Because this is for personal training, no group classes are offered, so this is not a place to go to if you want to do the occasional yoga or spin class. I also have to say that I was worried when I came in that I would see all the latest fads being done here. When I see commercials for EXTREME TRAINING I just kind of shut off. I've never been attracted to the flashy stuff, more of a strong fundamentals kind of guy. So I was worried that I would see people flailing at cardio ropes and stuff, but the exercises the trainers were having their clients do was much more basic, less trendy, then what I was expecting. A pleasant surprise. Layout/facilities This place consists of three rooms. The first room is the machines/cardio equipment. I think the first room is for personal trainers working with clients only, but if that's the case it is stupid because there are some machines/equipment that can only be found in the first room. For example, the dip rack and triceps extension machines are only in the first room. I used the first room and I didn't pick up any weird looks. I also made darn sure to be super polite when asking if the trainer was using equipment I wanted to use. The second room is the DB rack with some more machines and a bench rack. They have dBs that go up to 120, but for the life of me I could not find the 25 pounders. This was highly annoying. The second room is a little different from the other two because there is no music playing in that room. It's dead quiet. I actually like it, as I tend to find music distracting, rather than amp me up. The third (and personal fav of mine) is for Olympic lifting. They've got two squat racks, two Oly platforms, and two difference set of bumper plates. This was definitely my favorite room. They even have a bowl of chalk for me to use! Even though the trainers use this room all the time not once did they have their client perform squats/deadlifts/overhead press. So there was no wait to use the equipment. Locker room It's quite serviceable, they provide everything you would need with the exception of aftershave (do gyms just not believe in aftershave?!?!?!?!). It seemed clean with the exception of the faint smell of mildew. The smell, it felt like, came from poor ventilation rather than a lack of cleaning. They shower stalls were perfectly fine and the soap/shampoo was nice as well. They even offered towels, so that's really nice. This place is really for people who want to work with a trainer, I definitely didn't feel too welcomed since I didn't want to use a trainer.
