When it was, Precision worked around our schedule and residents were given plenty of advanced notice to plan their car usage around the installation time. On the day of installation, Stason Rusk, the Certified Technician, contacted me with his arrival time. He showed up as scheduled and quickly got to work removing the heavy old garage door and replacing it with the lighter steel one. He worked steadily and finished ahead of the amount of time residents had allocated for the installation. It was obvious that Stason was a specialist at what he did. He displayed an amazing attention to detail and was not satisfied until every adjustment had been made, every hinge had been sprayed and every fingerprint had been removed. Before he left, he took the time to instruct me on ongoing maintenance that was recommended to extend the life of the door and assure that it works at its highest capacity. Boy was I in a pickle! I came home from work today and opened my garage. As it was opening I heard a small pop. When I went to close it all hell broke loose. The door went crooked and the cable unwound. I had an hour and a half before I had to pick up three kids at two different schools and my garage was wide open! Not having this happen to me before, I didn't know who to call. So I googled local companies. The thing that impressed me about this company was their customer satisfaction rating. So I gave them a call. I was told they could send someone out between 4 and 6PM. I was in trouble. I had to leave for work at 4:15, but I had no choice. Around 1:45 I received a phone call from Erick. He said he could be at my house in twenty minutes! I was very happy to hear this. He arrived on the mark as he said he would. He was very friendly; I almost felt like I knew the guy kind of friendly. Long story short, he explained a lot to me as he was doing the work which gave me an understanding as to what was going on. I was pleased to hear that They do not work off of commission. It is a huge load off not having to worry if you are getting ripped off by someone who just wants to make a buck. Erick also informed me that my spring/coil was very rusty and somewhat old, but worked perfectly as was the motor. He did not try to push hundreds of dollars worth of unnecessary repairs and replacements on me. For that I am very appreciative. My garage motor went out on Saturday. I called Precision on sunday evening and they made me an appt for Monday morning. At 750am I recieved a phone call from Erick! He was totally awesome just over the phone. He called to let me know he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. Erick arrived at the time he said and from the moment he arrived at my house he was very courteous and very professional. Erick took one look at the motor and told me exactly what I thought, the motor was gone. I asked him how much this was going to run me he explained to me everything I needed and the cost and i said lets do it! Erick told me it would take about an hour and it only took just that for him to put a new motor in, along with the keypad and a new switch. As I said before he is awesome. After all of this was complete he explained how everything worked and had me open and close the garage from the new remotes and from the keypad!! He did a great job and didnt make a mess and he hauled away all of the old materials. My motor burned up and he said he could even smell the burn as he was removing everything..omg... I am thankful for the lifetime warranty and Erick and his hard work!! Again thanks Erick, keep up the great work. We are repeat customers, obviously because we've been satisfied with the service. Precision outdid themselves this time, though. We set up an appointment quickly with our technician, Larry Emory, who arrived two minutes before the two-hour appointment window was to begin. Larry informed us that the door itself is the ultimate cause of the problem, and that we need a new one. We told him we're pressed for funds, but will get the door when we can. In the meantime, the rail needed replacing just for the door to function, but even the reasonable price he quoted for that would be tough on us right now. He heard my counter-offer....then dropped the price far BELOW that. A couple of days later he was back to install, and suggested we trade out the motor, too, to buy more time before replacing the door. I was skeptical, but he offered the rail and motor -- a major upgrade over the current motor -- for less than the rail alone was supposed to cost, essentially throwing it in. Who would refuse that? He installed it all in a jiffy, graciously accepting our heartfelt thanks, but puzzled that we would be so grateful -- it's just the way he and the company roll. I had a good experience with precision. They were very meticulous in there work when they installed the three roll up doors and the 3 garage door motors. After the work was completed, they swept the area of the garage that they were working in and the the technician explained to me the operation of the keyless entry remotes. I want to give my special thanks to Alex for doing an outstanding job. I appreciated his honesty, and hard work during the install of the 3 doirs including the motors. Alex, realizing this should have been a 2 man job called on his co-worker, jesse to help out and to show him how to install the ALPINE hardware on the doors. I had been putting off getting my garage door diagnosed and fixed for awhile as I just didn't want to deal with the hassle. I finally decided to 'get it done' and used the old fashioned Yellow Pages. A friend of mine had used Precision and recommended so I found their listing and gave a call. From making the appt. to having the work done was smooth sailing. I was given an appt. for the next day with a two hour time window (10:00 -noon). Chris Moore was assigned to my job and gave a call 10 minutes out around 10:30 and showed up right on time. I gave him a quick rundown on the issue and left him to check it out. Within 10 minutes he had a breakdown of the issue and three different levels of pricing with included details. He went through the current issues I was experiencing and why. I went for the whole deal since my unit was pretty old. He got straight to work replacing springs, bearings, poles, wheels and the opener. He was done in a little over an hour (it was just Chris) and walked me through everything he did. I'm very pleased with all of my recent interactions with Precision Garage Door Service, with special thanks to David Phillips for replacing the garage door opener and patching up the existing door that broke until a new non-standard size garage door could be ordered and installed. Their estimates are clear, communication is excellent: text and email messages with updates, including photos of the techs so you know who will be doing the work. My garage door is not a standard size and due to supply chain delays took several months to arrive after being ordered. Precision provided regular updates on the order. Hollis Durland did an excellent job replacing the door and weather stripping. I do a wide variety of installations and repairs, including construction management and can easily tell when work is done well or not. This repair was at my rental property, 500 miles away, so I depended on photos to see the results. David Phillips and Hollis Durland both sent several photos of their installation work so I could see the results. Quality work done right. He went above and beyond coming out so late without hesitation. He was friendly and we felt like we had known him for ages. We were very comfortable with him. His expertise and professionalism were of the highest caliber. He took the time to coordinate the repair with our warranty company, explained the repair process and finished the job beautifully. We take customer service very seriously and I couldn't have asked for more from Larry. I will be referring him to my friends and family if they need these type of repairs. Due to an unfortunate accident, (golf cart backed up into the garage door) the door was stuck in the open position about half way and also had a big dent in it. It was after hours and I didn't want to leave the door open all night. I called Precision and Chris Moore arrived within 30 minutes and was able to get the door closed. It was determined that the bottom panel needed replacing. Chris investigated the next day and discovered that my door was no longer being manufactured. There weren't too many other options at that point so I ordered a new door. Chris was very patient and helpful answering all of my questions making sure I would be happy with my selection. Jesse was the installer and he arrived promptly as scheduled. He did a beautiful job. Both Chris and Jesse were very professional and also kept me informed along the way with the ordering, delivery, installation and follow-up. Good customer service is hard to find these days but Precision can be proud of both Chris and Jesse for their all-around great service. Precision Garage Door to the rescue! Three days before Christmas my garage door buckled and jammed. My immediate search for help resulted in an answer to a prayer. Great people, great product and great service. It's a long story but I broke one of my garage doors the other week. Really messed it up and it needed to be replaced. I called precision door service and Mark Davidson came out and took a look. He found me a near perfect match with my good door. He really knew what he was doing and gave me a fair price to replace the door. We set an appt to replace the door. There was a small issue with the install date. Somehow it did not get scheduled. I called Mark and he did his best to get someone to come out right away. When that did not work he gave me an additional discount and we picked the next day that worked for me to do the install. The install was done by Stason Russ. He called me when he was on his way and showed up on time. He was very professional and did a great job on the I install. I am very happy with my new door. WOW, a great team. Thank you for the excellent work guys! Firstly, it was reassuring to me that you came in company trucks and "certified technician" uniforms. It is important first off to know that the company uses only its full-time trained technicians, and does not sub-contract. My garage door had jumped off track and jammed, and a cable was off reel. I thought it needed only a quick reset and a new track section, but really a lot more was needed. Precision's techs are very customer focused and attentive to our concerns. One tech goes through it all: adjusting/replacing tracks, bearings, and springs, and carefully tightening all the slack in the door panels. Another tech arrives and he changes out the motor. Now garage door is perfect! It could have cost hundreds of dollars, but it was all covered by Precision's warranty from an earlier job in 2011. I can't recall when I last left a five-star review, but our service from Precision Door Service warrants this. Our garage door would not close due to multiple broken rollers. It was also extremely loud due to an older motor. I called Precision Door and was able to schedule a technician visit later that day. I was told the technician would arrive within a 2 hour window and sure enough, I received a call when the technician was 40 minutes out. The technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the situation, and provided an estimate with options and prices for each option. I felt informed and did not feel pressure to purchase unnecessary add-ons. That said, I purchased a motor to replace our older and louder model (though functioning) and couldn't be more pleased with the install and the performance of the motor. Our technician was Larry. Larry was professional, enthusiastic, and highly competent. He also accomplished the job that day and within the timeframe promised. I would call Precision Door again for future garage door needs. read more
