THEY BLOCKED ME ON FACEBOOK AFTER LEAVING MY HONEST REVIEW!! They are CROOKS who take advantage of people. I was profiled for my appearance. So I held sawchuk in high regards for how they fixed my ring and all the compliments I got on it after they cleaned it, well that all changed. I took a pair of earrings in to sell sometime last month and I was offered SIXTY dollars for my earrings... okay lower than I had hoped so I left with them. They were dangly 10k gold lightsaber earrings with diamonds. Well after a headache of a time trying to sell them on eBay I said forget it and went back to sawchuk and the same man said THIRTY this time??? And ended up giving me 29 out of his pocket in balled up money and I said whatever and took it. It's very obvious the time I was offered 60 I had my 8 month old with me, the second time you could tell he didn't recognize me but because of my face tattoo and other many visible tattoos I think he assumed "well she's going to use it for weed, pills, etc, so here's 29 in balled up wrinkly pocket money" like I was trash. Well I took it because even though my husband makes 73k child support isn't too kind to him, we both have new car payments, rent is a little high in Hilliard, etc, and we are living a one income household after I left my 27 an hour warehouse job (back when I got my new car) to be a stay at home mom. I had my husband's wedding ring put back together after it had to be cut off due to an injury. It was MANGLED pretty bad. Its like new now, and its 20 years old!!! I also had an amythest ring that had a broken stone from 30 years ago that he repaired and it looks beautiful!! Prices were VERY VERY reasonable and excellent work. I took my wedding ring in to get resized because I lost weight. Sawchuk Jewelers had to unsolder, cut a chunk out and then solder my bands back together. They did an incredible job! I can't tell where they cut my bands. They also cleaned my diamonds so they sparkle like they did 20 years ago when my husband proposed. I bought my fiances engagement ring here; I received more help, information and hospitality than any of the other 4 jewelers I consulted (Including 2 large chain jewelers). Not to mention I was able to get a much better quality ring for less money, the family owned difference really shows! I have only had interaction with Kevin, I honestly felt he cared about what I was looking for, and took the time to give me service above and beyond what I would ever expect. A small band diamond fell out months after I bought it (which is not an indication of bad quality, it just happens sometimes). We took it in and Kevin offered to replace the diamond and fix it for free, as well as reinspect all the settings. I would also say they have been timely in both the purchase (sizing of the band and setting of the center stone), and the repair. I dropped of my wedding ringing June to be resized and I was hoping to get it back before our 30 wedding anniversary in August....I called in July and talked to Kevin to see how it was going and he said he was very busy now and was going to work on it soon...I waited for his call never got one..finally I called him in October and he said my ring was ready..I was shocked when he told me the price especially when he told me 200.00 for platinum..I told him only one was platinum and the anniversary ring was white gold over 45 yes old..it was my husband's grandmother anniversary ring..he was in a hurry to get off the phone and called me back and said it was 150.00...I was shocked it was that much...but the price of gold..it was ok...I posted on my Facebook page how I was shocked how much it cost now to resize a ring..the next day Kevin called me and said he was bad about my post and he could take it apart and I could have someone else resize it...he was rude...so my husband and our pastor and I went to pick it up the next day...the ring looked nice...since he has had my ring for so long I was going to have it appraised and I put the rings in a bag and sealed it up...he got mad when I said I was going to get it appraised...now I was really worried...did he do something to them...my husband and him stated to yell at each other...Kevin said I posted I was appalled at the price...I took the post down. So I couldn't prove to him I wasn't lying...I don't lie...he ordered my husband out of his shop then he ordered me out of his shop...we took the rings to get looked at the next day...the diamonds were not touched..but one of the prongs were missing for the bigger diamonds in the three stone ring..now I am going to pay someone 63.00 to fix what Sawchuk jewelry should have saw it needed fix...If I would have worn it I would have lost a diamond...you never know who to trust...I have to wait one week to get my wedding rings back... read more

My husband and I took my wedding ring set in to Sawchuk to have it repaired and cleaned. We were referred by a friend to take it here. It took a little longer than we expected but it turned out beautiful. The extra time it took was well worth the wait. I fell in love with a ring at Macy's when my husband and I were looking for rings and we got the extended service plan to cover any repairs that we may neeed. A few months after I bought it one of the prongs that holds the center stone in place broke and it took over a month to get it back. Clearly they did not fix it well because it broke again recently and when I called they told me it would take 6+ weeks to get it back!! I ordered an engagement ring from the owner Kevin. We went over ring size, type, and the size of my diamond for this ring. Long story short, the big day came and I got down on one knee. The ring wouldn't even slide over her knuckle. It was over 2 sizes too small. Needless to say this ruined my one and only time I've proposed. Kevin & Heidi are good people, the best. Last Christmas (2012) my wife found my Mom's "Mother's Ring." with the birthstones of each one of her (4) sons. My wife thought it would be a great gift to present to the other sister-in-laws. She took the ring to Kevin and after much planning, discussions,and travel on Kevin's part (driving 1-2 hrs away to get the correct necklace) the rings were ready for Christmas. Not a dry eye in the house as my wife presented the very unique necklaces, also with diamonds to the other sister-in-laws. Mr. Sawchuk was suppose to design and make a new wedding ring for me. When I would call or stop in to the store Mr. Sawchuk would tell me that my ring was almost completed. The last time I stopped in to check on my ring Mr. Sawchuk said I will call you when it is completed. I have never received a call from him.
