He checked out the issue and gave me a very reasonable quote range. He quickly resolved a leak in a pipe in my crawlspace and double checked there was no other issues. In late April, we had Precision Plumbing come out for a toilet and tub backing up in our investment property in Virginia Beach. They charged us $487.50 to snake the line through the roof vent where nothing was pulled back. This didn't fix the problem and they came out a few days later and charged us $637.00 to clean the main line from the roof vent, pushing through the hard stoppage, and still, the camera line from the main roof vent did not find any issues with the sewer line. Not happy with their charging policies. They didn't fix it the first time and charged us even more the second time. read more

It's been a few years so it's time for another review update. These guys really rock. I know they only have 18 reviews on Yelp but every single one of them is a full five stars. That is pretty rare and truly impressive. This company doesn't do any advertising so their entire business is driven by word of mouth and referrals. Every time they've been to my house they've done a great job at fair and reasonable prices, they also stand behind their work. I've had urgent plumbing issues in the past and Precision responded very quickly to take care of the problems. Today's visit wasn't urgent so it was planned ahead. I had called a few days earlier to schedule service for today, the woman I spoke with on the phone was very polite and pleasant. This morning, Mike called and said he was on the way to our house, he arrived on time and immediately went to work on the problems we were having. He completed work in our bathroom and kitchen in a timely manner and cleaned up after himself which was much appreciated. Throughout the service call Mike was pleasant and professional. He is an engaging young man who is very approachable and easy to engage in conversation. He demonstrated his competence and knowledge as he explained everything to us as he was doing it. Whether it's an emergency or just some plumbing things you need done Precision is on top of things. They consistently do great work. It doesn't matter who shows up for your service, everyone is completely competent and does great quality work. It's very difficult to find honest and competent service contractors in today's environment so I am very appreciative of the ability and integrity I've witnessed from Precision Plumbing & Drain Cleaning. I saw Precision Plumbing had a near perfect rating on Yelp with not one negative review so I gave them a call and if I had to do it all over again not only would they would be at the top of my list, but my list would only contain one name. I highly recommend Precision Plumbing. My parents had us all in town for Thanksgiving. On Black Friday, my dad and his neighbor worked all afternoon trying to fix the plumbing problem from the outside by snaking all the vents. By 4:30 pm it was pretty clear it was time to call a professional. My sister first called a competitor, but something told me to try and find another plumber. I'm so glad I did! Melissa, the dispatcher, answered the phone. She was very pleasant and genuinely concerned. She said she'd call Mike who was already out working a job. He eventually called us to say he had another job before reaching us. Unfortunately, it meant we had to wait a few hours, but the service we received was totally worth the wait. My dad said Mike was a true professional, he talked to my dad as he worked through the problem each step of the way. After an hour and a half, our plumbing problem was fixed and at a very reasonable rate. My mom even gave Mike a plate of cookies to show her appreciation. When someone treats my parents as well as Mike (and Precision Plumbing) did, I have to let others know about them. I highly recommend them! read more

I was so excited to receive a response indicating it's never too late to call them back out. When I phoned I was told they'd send a supervisor out however, they did not. They sent another young guy. While Joe was here he replaced the parts in the one of the 2 toilets they were supposed to repair the first time. I asked for an estimate to repair the kitchen sink that was stopped up and backing up into the dishwasher. I kept explaining it to him and putting emphasis on the smell. He said he couldn't smell anything but he replaced the basket strainer and installed another garbage disposal that I'd purchased the night before. He never addressed the smell or touched the dishwasher or nor the large U shaped pipe underneath the sink that I explained was also producing this smell. It just dawned on me that a plumber I called prior to Precision returning listened to me explain the symptoms once and he immediately told me there's still water in the dishwasher from it being backed up. Now I wish I had let him come out because the smell is still so strong that I haven't been able to eat or watch TV in the kitchen. I just keep thinking that if the plumber on the phone knew that he'd have to check and drain the dishwasher just from my description why didn't Joe even open the dishwasher or U shaped pipe while he was here replacing the basket strainer and garbage disposal. I'm out another $237 in labor plus the $119 for the garbage disposal and the dishwasher leaves a thick, starchy substance on all the dishes and puts out this strong, toxic smell so I've been forced to wash dishes by hand every since my second visit from Precision. I just don't think he was thorough if the plumber on the phone new the dishwasher needed to be drained inside, sight unseen. Well, it took a bit longer than I (and they) expected, but they worked through some hiccups and completed the job nicely. After discovering that some of their equipment was faulty, they eventually got everything they needed and got my kitchen snaked. They also didn't charge me extra, even though they had to do it from the roof. Although it took 4 hours (what would probably have taken under 2hrs if everything was working right), I was very grateful that Precision stayed late on a Friday night to get it all done, and get it done correctly! read more

I recently had a leaking pipe that was under my second story bathroom tile and it left water damage on my first story bedroom ceiling. I called precision plumbing mid day and they were able to schedule an appointment the next morning where as other plumbing companies would not have been able to see me until 5 days later. The drain from my washer to the main line was clogged. I thought I could snake the pipe myself but I couldn't get the snake to work properly in the pipe. I called precision plumbing and was able to get this cleared. The lady answering the phone was polite and took my information and scheduled me in. The plumber, Kenny Barnes was at my house within about an hour and was able to clear the drain within minutes! An electric snake is the way to go obviously and the skill to get it done. Precision was half the price of the last plumbers I had out. I don't remember who they were although they did a good job. I am keeping precision's number in my phone for sure.
