BEWARE Investigation #30065737 NV State Contractors Board. Arrogant owner does Not deny the facts: NEGLIGENT gas leak, serious code violations, KEPT FAILING INSPECTIONS, inadequate gas ventilation. So DISHONEST and DECEPTIVE, claimed they installed new 3/4 inch gas line through attic. But, ONLY put a short snub nose piece of pipe on the outside of the wall in garage. City inspector CAUGHT PRECISION'S DISHONESTY, and FAILED the INSPECTION. Paid $10,060 for 75 gal Rheem tank and Halo-5. Tank defective 1.4 year new. Precision claims has no records after one year, no warranty. In truth, Rheem has 8 yr manufacturer warranty. Denied what was owed me. Violation NRS 624.3013 NV Contractor Board. Precision REFUSED to honor warranty, then Viciously put a lien on my home. Whoa! Is that lien Vindictive for exposing the truth to the Board? May 1, No hot water to shower after surgery. Plumber, Danny, had me sign BLANK tiny iPad for "permission to test equipment". Replaced gas water heater. No receipt, no invoice, as their defective tank 1.4 yr new. (At a later date, Precision transferred my "permission to test" signature to an invoice, that I did Not sign, then used it to lien my home) Wow. May 2, Smelled gas! Urgent call to Ryan, mgr, requested inspection, he REFUSED! Ryan would wait 3 days. Recovering from surgery, I stayed inside my home. (Did Precision have a death wish for me?) May 3, Gas smell worse, Bad! Felt dizzy, sickly gas poison! I phoned NV Contractor Board. Ashley advised open doors, call the Emergency line to SW Gas Co, who arrived fast. Report: "HAZARDOUS PREMISES", code 1 gas leak, also gas venting code violations. GAS LINE CONNECTION was NOT CLOSED TO NEW WATER HEATER. Terrifying. Called Ryan with SW Gas critical report, noting gas was turned off until plumber returns. (No hot water). Ryan REFUSED to return until Terry, at the Contractor Board, called him. Why was it so difficult to get responsible service? May 29, The Board sent Tom Gaede, owner, 'Notice of Jobsite Meeting' for June 11, review gas code violations. But, Precision FAILED TO SHOW UP! Obvious disregard for my safety, my home, & disrespectful to the Board's investigator, Mr Zack. Why NO SHOW, why NO CALL from Precision? June 13, The Board sent a 'Notice to Correct', to meet code and get a permit, within (3) three weeks. But, Precision did nothing, FAILED TO RESPOND. Why turn their back on the customer, why not do repairs for gas safety? RETALIATION for exposing the truth to the NV Contractor Board? DID OWNER TAKE PRIDE IN MAKING MY HOUSE UNSAFE (3) THREE MONTHS with INADEQUATE GAS VENTILATION? FAILED CITY INSPECTIONS from MAY 1st until AUGUST 5th, to get a permit approved, for gas code violations. The NV Contractor Board truly SAVED MY LIFE from gas poisoning, gas explosion, fire, saved my home. May God bless them. They can suspend a license or fine an incompetent /obstinate business to meet safety codes. First time using them, and very impressed. First, they have about 10-12 plumbers in multiple vans all over the Vegas area. They operate as a professional company. When I called - Chris took my info, and answered my questions, very professional. James was the plumber that came out. They booked it for 2-4, and I got a call just before 2 telling me they were on the way. James got here about 215 yesterday, and was very friendly and easy to talk to. I had an issue with a toilet continuing to run, and he looked at it and said he could do this. I told him I also had a leaky faucet, and wanted to get a new toilet seat and have the toilet caulked at a later time. James said he could do everything I needed on the visit yesterday, and he did! He surveyed the situation, explained what he could do, and went to get parts for everything. He fixed the leaky faucet first (another 2 plumbers said they couldn't fix a faucet, only replace them). No leaks now. Then James said because the toilet moved a little, he would remove it if he were doing it, and put a new wax ring, and use new shimmies to make sure it was level and perfect. This could also prevent future water damage below. I said sure - and he did everything. It is like a new toilet now - very solid, new toilet seat, new interior parts for most of them, and has been caulked. He went beyond what I expected, and stayed almost 4 hours until around 6 pm to finish everything. He insists on doing it the right way, and is a true professional. When I need a plumber in the future - I will be calling only Precision Plumbing, and asking for James. By the way - I called 4 other plumbing companies in Henderson/LV before them in the last 2 days. One had me email pics of the faucet and toilet - and said they don't repair faucets, only replace them - and have to replace the inlet hoses too. He also couldn't repair this type of toilet. The second plumber came right out, looked at the toilet, and said he doesn't repair those - maybe someone else can. This guy was not friendly at all either. My take from all of this is that it pays to find a medium size professional company. James was able to repair the faucet easily, not replace it. It didn't need the inlet hoses replaced either. He also easily repaired the toilet, and took the whole thing up and stabilized it, and then cleaned up afterwards. I was very impressed. James also put those little plastic covers on his shoes. We don't wear our shoes inside due to allergies, and he did this before I asked even. Very considerate. Will definitely call them when I have any future plumbing needs, and ask for James! read more

Alert! Sept 2024 Under investigation by Nevada State Board of Contractors for substandard work, FAILED City of Las Vegas INSPECTION, failed to meet code. Life threatening, NEGLIGENT gas leak caused by Precision Plumbing, dba aaaPrecision Plumbing. Southwest Gas Co came, and wrote: "Hazardous Premises" on my Las Vegas home. Terrifying to me, a senior alone. Yet, Precision refused to respond to my urgent call of concern. Then, the Nevada State Contractor Board intervened. First, the NSCB wrote Precision a letter, setting a meeting at my house, to inspect code violations noted by SW Gas Co. Precision was a 'no call and no show', exemplifying total disregard for my safety, and disrespecting the Board's investigator. Second, NSCB mandated a repair order, giving them 15 business days to complete work and obtain a permit. Precision STILL FAILED TO RESPOND as directed. Precision was so deceptive, and DISHONEST claiming to me and to the City, that they had installed new 3/4 inch gas line. But, only put a short snub nose piece of pipe on the outside of the wall. City inspector CAUGHT PRECISIONS DISHONESTY, and FAILED INSPECTION. Such DANGEROUS and DECEPTIVE work! Thomas Gaede, pres, Dave Gaede gm., Ryan Fitzgerald, mgr. FOCUS ON $ GREED; and IGNORES CUSTOMER SAFETY, IGNORES CUSTOMER SERVICE. I credit the Nv State Contractors Board for saving my life and my home from hazardous gas leak, gas poisoning, gas explosion. Ordered repairs to meet code, including IMPROPER VENTING to and from their gas tankless heater. Without NSCB's leverage to fine or suspend a business license, Precision was obstinate, repeatedly refusing to respond. I DO NOT TRUST the credibility or workmanship of Precision Plumbing, 2470 N Decatur, Las Vegas. Also, FAILED to honor warranty on their Rheem 75 gal hot water tank, one and a half years old, Rheem has an 8 yr manufacturer warranty, but Precision claimed 'no records' over one year ago. Another violation, NRS 624.3013, per Nv Contractor's Board. Precision caused the Negligent gas leak, with improper venting, not to code, May 1st. They did not even get a permit till August, (kept failing inspections). In August additional issues await investigation, violation NRS 624.3031. Fines or losing their license may follow. read more

I'm a 74 year old woman- I called Precision to come out for issues with my toilets backing up. After running a camera I was told I had a "belly" in a pipe outside under an rv slab. I ended up using them because their estimate was lower than Larkin Plumbing; they sold me on one year plumbing maintenance contract and took $466 off my $4250 estimate which brought my price down to $3784. The bid included saw cutting the concrete and replacing it with rough cut concrete approx. 3 x 4 ft. They arrived in daylight and fixed the pipe properly. The worker came to my door and asked if they could stay late I said fine because I thought they were cleaning up. I went outside to check on them and saw they were pouring the concrete, I told them it wasn't a good idea because it was getting dark but he said they already poured 1 bag of concrete and wanted to finish. The next day I went out and immediately noticed the concrete wasn't even and was humped up in the middle and the edges were lower than the rest of the rv pad. I contacted them right away and they said they would send someone out to look at it. I went around and around with them saying they'd send someone out and they'd call me back etc. and never did. This went on for approximately 2 weeks before Rhonda who identified herself as a boss finally said she would send a worker out. They gave me a time and my son-in-law showed up because at this point I wanted someone there because I was nervous since Rhonda seemed very upset with me. The worker was 1 hr. 15 minutes late but showed up and said ok I'll let Rhoda know. I had to call back several times and finally got ahold of her and she said no they were not going to fix it. Rhoda did tell me what's the big deal its outside and I said you wouldn't leave it in my house like that and you have no idea what our plans are for the rv area.... maybe pavers or an addition who knows. I opened a complaint with the contractors board on 3/6/15 in hopes that they will be able to force them to correct the error. You would think a bad 3 x 4 ft patch of concrete is worth re-doing in order to have a satisfied client aside from the fact that the workers just dumped bags of concrete in the hole and filled it with water. read more

Paul M. is an exceptional plumber and we experienced both his tenacity and honesty in fixing a nasty problem with a kitchen sink that wouldn't drain. Initially, we called another plumbing company who sent a plumber that used a drain snake for about 20 minutes (start & stop) that didn't clear the clog. When he wasn't making progress, he said the only alternative was to open the wall behind the sink, pull out the dishwasher and tear out the old cast iron pipe and replace it. When I asked if they would repair the wall board he said, "No ma'am, we're plumbers-the rest of the repair is up to you." He then packed up his equipment and left. The estimate for tearing out the walls and replacing the pipe was $800.00. The next day, I called Precision Plumbing and when Paul arrived, he too ran the snake - which didn't fix the problem. But, he said he was going to fix the issue no matter how long it took. After about an hour that included snaking the clean out drain, he said there was a snake at the shop with a smaller bit that he wanted to try and would be back the next day. Well, as promised, he was back on Monday with the smaller snake and within 15 minutes, the drain was clear....!!! Paul is an outstanding plumber and a sincere and honest person. We highly recommend him and Precision Plumbing in Las Vegas, NV. They're the BEST .....!!! Paul should be recognized by his company for his outstanding service. My mom's bathtub plug was broken and the water wasn't draining out. I knew it was something simple but didn't have the knowledge to do it myself so I called Precision Plumbing because I had used them in 2015 when I was living in Connecticut and my 84 yr old mother was here in Las Vegas. I had found them here on Yelp where the reviews were great. You can actually read my review right here on Yelp. So my mom had such a positive experience with the man who showed up, the work he did and the price she paid, at the time, I figured I'd call them again. I spoke to Chris who was very articulate and accommodating. We made an appointment for the next day which I was glad about. Francisco V. showed up on time with his trainee. They were both very nice and professional. It was obviously such an easy job he didn't have to do anything but take a quick look at the bathtub and give me a quote because he was outta here in no time to get the replacement part. I knew $185 (which included a 5% senior discount) was high but I HAD to get it done. I just couldn't wait another day. Anyway, Francisco was back within an hour and I stood there and watched him while he did the job which took about 15 minutes. He was thorough and efficient and I would use HIM again if he was an independent contractor. I just won't use Precision Plumbing because they're way too expensive so the four stars are for Francisco. read more

After a horrible experience with a hot head employee in a Precision Plumbing truck, I had a wonderful experience with the general manager, David. Employees can make or break a company. Everyone can have a bad day or screw up. Fortunately, the philosophy and foundation of this plumbing is solid, built in a love of the community they have been serving for 15 years. That was evident with the way David handled a very hot situation. After the blow up, another employee chose to use her personal social media platform to misalign me and the situation, then identified herself as a receptionist at the company and continued to bait and inflame things in a public forum. I advised David he had another opportunity for customer service training. I realized the young woman felt loyal to the other employee but as she identified herself as another company rep, this was unprofessional and a sign that the younger employees needed training on communication, public relations and crisis management. The second employee's unprofessional outburst on the COMPANY'S Facebook page is my reason for the 4-star rating. I believe some HR training for employees to learn how to separate their personal beefs from the company's name and reputation is lacking. Management is old school and has it right. I hope it can be passed down to the lower tiers. read more

We had two issues: 1. Our kitchen faucet spray hose caused a leak under the kitchen sink 2. Our dishwasher was draining water through the air gap above the sink After receiving bad service from another plumbing company for past plumbing issues, we decided to try a different plumbing company. We saw that Precision Plumbing had really good reviews through Yelp and we are so glad we switched to them because we received outstanding service when scheduling our appointment and again outstanding service from the plumbing technician James S. James was very polite and very quick. He arrived within the quoted estimated arrival time, something the other plumbing company failed to do. He even brought booties to wear over his shoes while walking through our carpet and floors! We thought that was so considerate of him! He resolved both of our issues and we are so extremely pleased with him and the company. We had not used our dishwasher for a couple of months due to the water draining through the air gap and causing a mess on the countertop and below our kitchen sink. We can now use it and are so relieved we found a company that took care of our needs and charges fair prices. We will certainly consider them again for our future plumbing needs. I called Precision Plumbing and was delighted to get a plumber out here the same afternoon. The receptionist was polite and professional. Andrew called to let me know that he was on the way to take a look at the job and to give me a free estimate. We needed to have the connector hose to the upstair toilet replaced, and we needed to replace an upstairs sink faucet with a new one that we had already purchased. He estimated that the work would take a couple of hours, plus the time that he needed to purchase the type of connector hose that was required for the toilet (about a half hour to run to Lowe's). He got the job done and showed me the work. Excellent workmanship, definitely better and faster than what we could do on our own. He cleaned up his tools and left the bathroom in a neat condition. Andrew was friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. From beginning to end, this company was professional and efficient. The price was reasonable for a good plumber, and the customer service was excellent with good follow-up after the work was completed. I was impressed with this company and am planning to have them out again to work on my kitchen sink. Nice to know a good plumbing company in the area that I can call on again! read more

I found a leak under my kitchen sink after work today (after 6pm!). I have been wanting my kitchen faucet replaced and had no choice but to find a plumber who would come out right away. I called two plumbers before calling Precision Plumbing, and I was glad that I found Precision Plumbing! Within 10 minutes of my call, Daniel C. called me to let me know that he would arrive in 30-45 minutes, which he did. From the moment Daniel arrived, he was extremely professional. He checked everything thoroughly, located the source of problems, and gave me a reasonable estimate, which I couldn't refuse. He then went straight to work, replaced shut off valves, and installed my new faucet. Daniel was very knowledgeable, and while he worked, he explained what he was doing and educated us. When Daniel was done, he took time to check everything was in working order, going above and beyond to also check every single connection for the drain and the filter system under my sink. Completely surprised at the quick response to my contact. Late on Saturday morning, I requested a "no rush" estimate for a shower valve repair or replacement, but I had an immediate reply, and a technician at my house 3 hours later. Because the shower cartridge had not been replaced in too many years, Melvin gave me both a best case and a worse case scenario estimate in the event the cartridge broke during removal. Melvin left to get the necessary part. Returning, he managed to remove the old cartridge in one piece (surprising us both!), installed the replacement, and cleaned up afterwards as if he were never there. While expecting only an estimate, I received a same day shower repair at a reasonable cost. Before leaving, Melvin conducted a whole house plumbing and drain inspection, a service provided by Precision Plumbing at no additional cost. To be clear, he did not pad the bill, by finding additional items that needed attention. Melvin did suggest a couple of routine maintenance things that needed service sometime in the future. Precision Plumbing did what no other shop could do; give us a time in which we could expect service. That is where our 5 star experience started. We were scheduled with another "Large & Popular" Las Vegas Plumbing Company; after 5 hours and several calls, we were no closer to getting our water leak between floors fixed. Found Precision Plumbing online and contacted them. Within One Hour they were assessing the project. Chris and his colleague were very professional. With the limited logistical information we could provide, they found the leak, developed a strategy to bypass the existing line, reroute a new line, cap off the old line and do all of this working with a concrete slab and concrete wall separating the floors and there is to be NO pipe showing upon competition. The price they quoted us after an extensive amount of diagnosis time was very fair. The repair took a couple days and is complete. Our faith in Precision Plumbing was well placed. We are not grateful for this Burst-Pipe event, however; the good from it is we know who to call when we have plumbing problems. read more

We scheduled an appointment for a kitchen sink clog with a window of service from 10:00 -1200 noon. As you can imagine not all jobs go as planned as the plumber was late, however the office called and advised of the delay and informed us of the delay, very professional and much appreciated. When Tony "Anthony" arrived on site he was very friendly and went directly to attack the problem sink and provided estimates, we were presently surprised to find out there were two options no up sales talk or pressure, he recommended the lower price option and said only option two if required. Unfortunately we had to implement option two as the first attempt failed to correct the clogged condition, even after several attempts "Anthony" never gave up and was very creative and used a secondary clean out access the drain line to correct the condition. I got home today after work and found myself in a tough situation.. Dirty smelly water was coming out of my sink.. Not a fun thing to deal with. But I thought that with a help of Google and YouTube I'll be able to to fix it. Everything was going well until I found nasty water filing up my tub downsrairs in addition to the kitchen sink. I figured I should ask a specialist to help me. I've heard about Precision Plumbing before, so I gave it a try.. It didnt take long for the company worker to arrive. He was pleasant and told me right away how much the charge would be. I gave him a go ahead and after a couple of hours of hard work (because it turned out to be more comicated fix than even he thought) he got every ting to work!!! Such a relief. My water heater flooded my garage and I had no idea what to do. I called Precision Plumbing only because I had seen the company van in my community helping a neighbor. The receptionist was very friendly and allowed me to speak directly to a technician. James, the technician whom I spoke with on the phone, came out the very next morning, a Saturday, at 9am sharp. James and his partner Kevin both came and were very professional. They both were honest, explained my issue thoroughly and most importantly, quoted me the best price in town. It was a lot cheaper than the 2 other companies I researched. They both went above and beyond the call of duty and even inspected my home free of charge and gave me the nuts and bolts to fix my toilet. In conclusion, great service, high quality water heater, (I looked it up) and very professional and honest technicians. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for plumbing services. So, I can guess why you're looking at the reviews. Like me, you started a repair job and it may have gotten slightly out of hand due to old pipes, bad initial installs or I'll admit, thinking I could do a job I was not qualified to do. Spoke to office associate, Darci who pleasantly assisted with hearing my needs and for a Monday morning call was able to have someone at my house within an hour. My service tech as Eric who listened to all the challenges ( faucets, toilet install, frozen shower head pipe) and he explained they could do it all and didn't make me feel like an idiot since I could not do it. He showed me his "price list" binder with all the fees for each job and was able to make it work. Eric was courteous, clean and efficient and did return the next day for one correction. Being new to the area, I was a bit concerned with what company to go with but can feel confident in recommending this company to anyone. read more
