Last week, we were driving around downtown Honolulu in our Tesla Model S. The roads are narrow and we made a right turn too close to curb and it nicked our rear passenger rim. We felt it so we knew the rim was scratched. I just cringed when it happened. Since the rim was painted to match the car, I knew that scratch would be visible. Fortunately, a friend recommended the mobile rim repair services for this company. Their rim repair work is incredible. We could not tell where those original scratches were after the repair work was done on our painted aluminum rim. I highly recommend the rim repair services of this company especially for Tesla car owners.

I was so upset last Sunday 9/14/2025 when I scratched my new ADX's rim. I googled rim repair and was thinking I'd do it myself but saw Precision Rim Repair. Web site. I texted that Sunday not really expecting to hear back, but Micah texted and offered me an appointment Monday afternoon. I had to go with Thursday 9/18 as that was their first a.m. appointment. The best part - they come to your house for free as long as you're within a certain radius, which I was! Spencer was early/on time on Thursday. He was super friendly, courteous, and worked efficiently. My rim was fixed in a short time and looks just as good as new. Spencer has been fixing rims for I believe over 20 years so lots of experience! I am so happy with the results and that I found a great useful company that is also cost-efficient! If you have any rim damage, I would call Precision Rim Repair for sure;-)

Definitely recommend Spencer & Qweston from Precision Rim Repair!!!!! Curbed my rim on Christmas Day and found Precision Rim Repair on Yelp. Used Yelp's Pricing & Availability feature and got a response from Spencer the next day -- definitely was not expecting a response that quick during the holiday season. The day of the repair, Qweston arrived on time, assessed the damage and immediately got to work. A little more than an hour later and my rim looked brand new! I'm sure this won't be the last time I battle a curb and will definitely call Spencer & Qweston to erase my mistakes in the future! You guys are awesome!!

Spencer is the man. Easy to obtain a quote via text. Repair price is very reasonable compared to buying a new wheel or redoing the whole wheel. He sets up an appointment based on your schedule. He comes out to you. Because I live on the West Side, there was a travel/fuel surcharge but it beats sitting in Honolulu traffic. When he was done after like 15-20 minutes, you can barely tell there was any repair. He even touched up a couple of areas that weren't curbed but had paint defects without additional charge.

I had two wheels that needed to be repaired. I reached out to PRR with photos of the wheels and was responded to within the day by Micah. He had an estimate ready and I booked the repair right away. They're flexible and will work around your schedule to make it work. On the day of the repair, I met Spencer at a local park to get the work done. I live outside of their main serviceable area so a travel fee plus gas would've been charged. I had business in town anyway so it was not a problem and I was able to save on the aforementioned fee. They do repairs at your house/work/ etc., though if that is preferred. The work was completed quickly and the results were high quality. Auto grade paint match left the wheels looking brand new and I couldn't tell they were damaged in the first place. Both Micah and Spencer communicated very well and executed this repair flawlessly. My rim is pretty complicated and unnecessarily designed so I don't blame them for not getting the painting right (The shape of it looks very odd and out of place). But overall the scuff marks, scratches, and chips look like it was never there. All for an reasonable 125 bucks. I'd recommend it if you had some pretty basic wheels, but if its a damaged rim in weird/hard to work on places, maybe look into buying a new rim or trying a place with more repair tech. After becoming a victim of curb rash, I searched on Google and found Precision Rim Repair had a lot of great reviews so after calling them, they had me send photos of the damage and quickly responded with a reasonable quote which I accepted and bright and early the next morning, Micah came and did a wonderful job. Can't even see where the damage was. Hopefully I don't mess up again but at least I know who to call now. read more

Spencer did an amazing job fixing up our rims. Super easy to communicate with and was flexible as far as scheduling where and when the repair would be. Spencer worked with us to have the repair down at our apartment at a time convenient for us. Not only has the repair made our rims look almost brand new, but it was really fast too. A week late in making a review, but I'm shocked. I never a business like this even existed and I'm happy I did. I scraped my rims last Sunday , called the to make an appointment the next day and book with Micah for Tuesday morning. Instead of Micah, doing the repair, his father in-law Spencer, came in replace and fixed my rims within about 20 mins. Both communicated with me about time and place to meet for the repair so I wouldn't have to pay an outside area fee. I would recommend to book them , if you messed up your rims and don't want to look at it feeling like shit. LOL read more

I curb checked my front passenger side 20inch OZ rim really really bad, Like BAD.... mind you, its a $150k car so a single OZ aftermarket rim runs for $2100.00 (not including shipping)....FML Uncle spencer from Precision Rim Repair came over to my house, as they are mobile and fixed it in 30 minutes. The rim is literally brand new now. I cant even find where i curb checked it. Thanks guys you are awesome! They saved me thousands read more

Once connected (easiest through their website and text messaging), communication was prompt and our appointment was booked so quickly. Spencer quickly made adjustments when weather was going to be a factor. Estimate/price very competitive and work was top notch. Of note, there is a travel surcharge but since where we live didn't have great weather we were able to find a place to meet in town and Spencer was so efficient, I barely had time to finish a planned walk around the park. I hardly ever leave reviews, but the service was too great not to. I reached out following the instructions on their webpage (texted my name and photos of my rims that I needed repaired). The response was quick and detailed. He quoted me what I thought was an affordable price. He asked a few questions and on my availability. Once I responded he was able to do my rims less than a week after reaching out. This is a mobile service so they came to my home and it was so efficient and easy. Chipped my black rim parking just one day after I bought my new car. I was devastated but luckily I found Precision. Communication was quick and they were flexible with my limited availability, They came to my house and fixed it in my driveway in about an hour. It looks perfect you can't even tell I chipped it! They are the best and very affordable. I'm pairing very carefully these days so hopefully I won't need then again anytime soon but have piece of mind that if I do chip my rim it's fixable. read more

Precision Rim Repair is a mobile alloy wheel repair service, specializing in cosmetic repair to rims that have been scraped, scratched, and gouged (we do not offer repairs of bends or cracks to the wheel/rim). We come to you, the rim stays on the vehicle, we jack up the car (if needed) and work on location.

History

Established in 2002.

Originally operating under the name Island Wheel Refinishing, the company first started in 2002 by Spencer Tang as a one man operation. Spencer developed excellent working relationships with dealerships across the island, and oversaw the initial growth and development of the company. In 2006, Spencer sold the company to long time friend Blake Arakawa, whom he mentored in the trade. Blake rebranded the company as RimCraft. The company was forced to evolve in order to meet the needs of market demands. This meant new tools, new materials, and new methods, and the quality of the work improved. After Blake suffered a debilitating motorcycle accident, the company's operations were forced to shut down. The company remained dormant until summer 2017, when now owners, Caleb and Milton took over. The company again rebranded itself as Precision Rim Repair, and under Caleb and Milton's management has seen continued growth and success. PRR was reacquired by Spencer Tang in 2023.

Meet the Business Owner: Spencer T.

Having started the company under the name Island Wheel Refinishing in the early 2000's, Spencer reacquired Precision Rim Repair in 2023 with the goal of overseeing its next phase of development. Apart from the business, Spencer is happily married to the love of his life, Wendy, and enjoys spending time with the two of his six daughters still living at home. He is also the pastor of HOME Honolulu.

After scraping the rim of the passenger side front wheel of our brand new Mini Cooper while trying to park, we were very upset! Looking for ways of repairing the scrape we came across Precision Rim Repair. On looking at their website it was obvious that this was the firm to contact in order to get the damage sorted out. One of the great things about this firm is that they come to the customer and do the repair on site. No having to take the car to a garage. Caleb, a really great guy, came and inspected the damage and gave us a price and we agreed on a date for repair. We were amazed when the work was finished as the wheel looked like new. What a great job Caleb and Phil did! This is the third time I have had this done on three cars, once in NY, once in NM, and now in Hawaii. I took a chance on a 20 year old Lexus SC-430 that was in good shape, but the wheels needed work. I have no idea how this magic process works, but the wheels look brand new, making the car even more gorgeous. It may be expensive, but it usually works out to around 25% of what it might cost to buy four new wheels. They were here for a good long time, and just did a magnificent job. Micah and Spencer (who did the repair) helped me with my gashed rims yesterday, and I could not be more happy with the results. I wouldn't even be able to tell where the damage was. Previously used Precision Rim Repair when I slightly brushed the curb when Caleb was working there. Just saw earlier this week that I had a scratch on my rim so I texted PRR in the evening with photos of the damage.
