I'm a reformer Pilates girl, so the Xformer was a bit of an adjustment for me. But all of the instructors are super awesome in helping me use the Xformer properly. The best part? The playlists! It's so much fun and really helps you get into the zone. The whole facility is super clean with lockers and a great bathroom with everything you need before or after class. There's tons of free parking too-- making it super easy and convenient. I loved my experience so much that I even bought a pair of biker shorts with the cut + flow logo and new grip socks as a little souvenir. I can't wait to come back to Cut + Flow!

Ive personally only taken 1 Xformer and a handful of yoga classes. I like that there's a variety of instructors with different styles. One thing to note is that it doesn't get hot enough in yoga to my liking- temperature also depends on each instructor. The locker area and bathroom/showers are also pristine! Cut and Flow sells grippy socks and lululemon clothes in the front. Don't forget to bring your own grippy socks to your first Xformer class, or you can purchase one at the studio. Their new client special is a great deal. One unlimited month for $99 which includes a free pair of grippy socks and free mat/towel rental. As of 9/11/24 there's also Xformer instructor in training classes which cost $15 per class! A drop in Xformer class typically cost $35.

Strength training is always part of my injury recovery process, but I've done a bad job of incorporating it to my workouts. Either I don't lift weights, or I do too much too soon and I'm sore in a way that impacts my running. I've been a member for about a month, and I am really enjoying my workouts at Progressive Performance. Signing up for this gym keeps me accountable to strength training and I'm able to keep running in addition to building strength. More than that, I really appreciate how the trainers took the time to know me, my goals, where I've struggled in the past and are there to guide my workouts. The trainers are super personable, the workouts are a good challenge, and every other member I've encountered has been friendly, welcoming, and kind. Oh, and the gym is clean and well-equipped. I'm looking forward to progressing my fitness and strength here!

I was annoyed and told him not to do a cops job cause its dangerous. He lied and said i threatened him. The curly haired manager always had it out for me, one time i really had to use the restroom and their scanners werent working. This manager threw a fit after i got out of the bathroom. Ever since hes been looking for this opportunity. The new staff member lied to the police, and the police visited but could tell i was peaceful. Still, the new staff member's lie got me banned cause this manager always wanted to. And that canceled my entire membership. I guess now i have to take legal action, cause while they have every right to end my membership, i think their staff member lying to the police and that having consequences might allow me legal opportunities to seek vindication. Id rather have just had conflict resolution, but this manager would not have been interested in anything but hurting me. Just sad other members are now gonna be harassed by welfare checks and mamagers who protect staff who lie to police.

I met Dawn while networking with local massage therapists through LinkedIn. We decided to have coffee and talk about our wonderful profession. I was immediately impressed with Dawn's knowledge and passion. We decided that we would like to receive massages from each other to get a better understanding of our respective bodywork. I get a good amount of massage and have some truly gifted trade partners so I was pretty overwhelmed when Dawn presented a solution to one of my lingering body issues from years as a professional fighter, within 15 minutes of entering her office! At one point during my first session I was actually almost moved to tears (yes, big boys do cry from time to time) just because of being able to believe again that I could solve a persistent hip/knee issue without surgery. It also made me even more cognizant of my role in helping my clients hold on to or regain hope in their recovery journeys. Although Dawn is truly multi-faceted and has studied many styles of massage, I would describe her primary work as structural integration, like Hellerwork in many ways. Dawn also provides exercise therapy and can give anyone a better understanding of how their body is designed to work and then help them get it working better. I highly recommend a visit to dawn if you have body pain that you want to be free of or if you just want to get your body in better alignment and functionality.

BODYWISE Bodywork reintegrates the separate parts, providing a foundation for exceptional health and well-being. Massage therapy releases tense and contracted muscles. What about the other set of muscles? If one set is chronically tight, the opposite must be unengaged and, over time, they can lose the strength or stamina necessary to function properly. Exercise therapy stimulates weakened musculature and re balances the entire structure. Our bodies have their own ability to heal and be whole. Think squats with 2 lb dumbbells, high knees in place to warm up, etc. I was really expecting reformer Pilates similar to competitors in the area like Cut and Flow or Solidcore but that is not what this is. No coaching around traditional Pilates timing, VERY minimal core work (think 5% of the class). The playlists were also similar to that in a box gym with no sense of curation based on type of exercise. If this was the case and these were cheaper classes I would understand and feel like I'm getting what I'm paying for but unfortunately it is $39/class so just as expensive as competitors but the experience just isn't there. Giving 2 stars because the studio is very clean and a great location but there isn't even really a great studio "vibe" no high energy good morning or kudos- it was just very mediocre.

Let me start by saying this isn't my first time trying Crossfit…read more I was introduced to Crossfit by my husband who's a big enthusiast, and we first went to a gym when we were living in California, people were nice enough but everyone seemed to do everything like a pro and I felt pretty discouraged that I wasn't at that level yet, so my first Crossfit experience lasted a couple of months. Then at the beginning of this year, I decided to give it another shot at Crossfit Bothell. The first thing that was different was the fact that I joined their foundations class, where I learned what each movement and each exercise was supposed to look like, and ways to scale it down in case I couldn't do that yet. Another thing is the coaches are SO. NICE. We usually go in the evenings, and all of our coaches: Andrew, Peter, Rodrigo and Lincoln are the best. They push you when you need to be pushed, but it's always done in a nice and friendly way, and they encourage you to scale down when needed. They also have olympic weightlifting classes, Lincoln teaches this class on Tuesdays and Fridays, and while I was a bit hesitant at first, now I'm a big fan. We've made a lot of friends at Crossfit, it's now been 10 months and I can see myself staying in Crossfit Bothell for a long time. Tips: go the foundations class, and if, like me, you like working out with your partner, ask for the couples membership!

I didn't walk around or touched anything, just lay down on a bench to cool down a bit. The studio Manager (who is also a yoga teacher was in the hallway at that time) approached me and began expressing concern for my health and suggesting that I take some easier classes. Which is wonderful and understandable, thank you very much! Then she said the following: "Another reason not to leave the room during class is that people might feel uncomfortable with you being around their belongings. I'm not saying that you would steal anything, but they might be concerned because they don't know you." Just like that, almost word for word - I have an excellent memory. When I eventually spoke my mind on this topic (in email), the Manager sent me a long email full of explanations. She was clearly standing by her words, even repeating them, justifying them by saying that stealing has happened in the studio before. In the same email, she informed me that my studio pass is being terminated and I'm not to return to the studio. Let me tell you about myself. I'm an immigrant speaking with an accent and a white-passing person of color; I work in Higher Education. I've told this story to many of my colleagues and friends. Everyone is in disbelief and asking me - did it happen here, in our state!?! Yep... If the management of this studio believes that I was not treated in any irregular or unusual way, and if they stand by their comments, they should turn their words to me into a studio policy for everyone to consider, not only me! It could go something like this: "Coming outside the room into a hallway during class is discouraged. One of many reasons, people might be uncomfortable with you, our lovely and valued customer, being left unattended around their belongings. Unless they know you, of course! BTW, we are not saying that you would steal anything, no-no! Don't get us wrong! We're only expressing what others might think of you!" :-)
