Chris is a wizard, and an incredibly generous one at that. He resoldered a tiny component for me in probably 30 seconds. It was incredible. I've attached a picture of the repair to illustrate how amazing this is. That transistor is less than 1mm wide. Again, it took Chris about 10 seconds to remove the failed one and about 20 seconds to solder in the replacement. The device is working perfectly now. Chris, I won't forget your generosity. This establishment provides excellent service!) -- When moving from CT to NH, the movers stuffed my subwoofer into the box with the cable still attached and broke the input port. Around the same time my 14 year old Onkyo receiver's display panel went out. This place, even though it's an hour drive from where I live in NH, had the best ratings so I gave them a call. I drove down on a weekend and dropped both pieces of equipment off. They had both fixed in a matter of days and I drove down the next weekend to pick them up. What a gift he has given me by salvaging the tape, having it repaired and restoring the Phillips combo so now I can play the host of tapes in my possession. My 60 inch LCD TV picture stopped working but the sound worked. After doing some research on the internet, they said use a flashlight at an angle and see if you can see a faint picture. I could. I called one television repair shop and he said the cost to repair was too expensive and throw the television away. He also said if I wanted to fix it, the part was back ordered a minimum of 3 months and probably longer. I was about to put the TV on the back deck in the rain and my wife forced me to call Precision TV. I did and Chris said he knew 100% what the problem was and had the part to fix it. I've lived less than 2 miles from this place for their whole existence (16 years) and I wouldn't have ever have known it about them had they not put a coupon in the community values. I'm really glad they did. I have an old receiver and an old stereo system with radio, turntable, cassette and 8 track. (If you don't know what an 8 track is, ask your mom) The receiver just died one day and the stereo system had assorted issues. I called to find out pricing and Chris told me that for $15 they'd diagnose the stereo system and for $20 they'd diagnose the receiver. If I decided to get the work done, the diagnosis fee would go towards the cost of the repair. Well you can't beat that deal with a stick, so off to Precision I went. They fixed both and with my 20% off labor coupon, my total including the deposit ended up being only $135. Well I never would have been able to get one new unit for that cost so I was thrilled. They even offer a 90 day warranty. My only gripe is that I thought they would call me and tell me what the damage was going to be before the went ahead with the repairs. I got a call from Chris 4 days after dropping them off telling me they were done. That might have been my misunderstanding. The price wasn't outrageous so it didn't end up being a big deal. read more

Ugh. I had a Sony 40 inch LCD and Samsung 42 inch plasma that needed repair after a lighting strike. The HDMI ports got fried. The repair was done rather quickly and professionally in my opinion. No complaints for customer service. Quality of work/parts is my issue. The cost to repair each TV was $220ish for a grand total of $443.35 which I found reasonable. I think I also paid for them to come out and take a look, but I don't remember. The tv's were repaired in June 2015. The Samsung failed in February 2016 and the Sony failed April 2016. The warranty on repair was for 6 months. Which leaves me with purchasing 2 new tv's. If I had known the repair would last less than 12 months, I would have just rolled the $450 into the new tvs. Live and learn I guess. read more

Just a great company; always willing to help, friendly and helpful. Open and honest about their repair service, will advise you on what to repair, what to replace. Christopher at Precision TV & Electronic Repair is the real deal!! He knows his stuff and goes beyond the call of duty!! I sent him an email regarding my broken diffuser. He responded promptly and professionally. Even though he had no idea what a diffuser was, he accepted the challenge. I brought it in. After doing a thorough evaluation of my broken diffuser, he called me up the very next morning and provided me with my options and educated me on air pump motors.He even looked on eBay to see if the same model diffuser was being sold and for how much. My 58" Samsung Plasma TV just shut off while watching a show and would not turn back on. It is only 8 years old and cost $1400, if it was 15 years old I would have bought another TV, but I despise having to replace something that should not have failed. I decided to have it checked out by a pro after doing some online research on that model, and learning it is a common occurrence that can be repaired. I called Chris at Precision and I set up a house call, which was extremely affordable , his technician was at my house on time and called me prior to confirm. He was great, he figured out there was a problem with the power circuit board on a Saturday morning , he asked if he could take it back to the shop to see if he could repair it, which I agreed to. I got a call from Chris that afternoon letting me know it was repaired and he set up a time with me to reinstall the board. His technician came back out the following Monday and installed the board and tested the TV, It works perfectly. Including the house call the total was under $200, the service and professionalism was outstanding, thank you so much, and especially right before Christmas, so instead of having to buy a new TV, I can put the money towards gifts. read more

My 55" Samsung Plasma is 8 yrs old and suddenly stopped working. They made a very quick housecall and determined my main board was the source. The tech took the broken board and returned about a 10 days later with a replacement that had my TV up and running again. Total cost for service and parts was $223. I'd post a 5 star review, except I noticed they replaced the broken board with a used board that was purchased on eBay for $30. The estimate I was given was for a factory re-certified board. I expected to see the tech open a factory sealed bag, but the 'recertified' board came out of a cardboard box with the eBay transaction number clearly marked - not too smart. Further, the receipt I was given stated it was a factory re-certified part. It's not worth it to me to challenge this - the TV works, and I'm happy with the price I paid and the service that was provided, but I just wish they would have been upfront about honest. Deception like this is what makes me distrust mom/pop outfits. In hindsight, I won't use them again and I would caution others against trusting them with anything important. read more

I called to schedule a TV repair following a referral from Samsung Service Ctr. I was caller #12 on the cue with estimated wait time of 20 min. I waited 29 minutes before I spoke to Lela. Lela said I was going to need to give her my phone number for a call back. I said I already waited 30 minutes to speak to a live person. She transferred me to another number which promptly hung up on me with a voice message "Not permitted to dial this number". When I called Precision TV Repair again I was told I would now be caller #14 with estimated wait time of 31 minutes. Forget it! Horrible Customer Service! read more
