He identified the problem with our clock immediately, and lovingly adjusted and oiled it and sent me off with instructions on how to hang it. The young man working in the store seemed about as disinterested in helping us as possible--more focused on playing his video games than assisting customers as we browsed. I had the Fishers evaluate and restore four clocks from different eras. An electric mantle clock…read morefrom the late 40s, early 50s; a Coca Cola clock sign from the 60s and a wind mantle clock and wall clock from the 70s. Not valuable antiques but gr8 sentimental value. Mrs. Fisher orchestrated the timing, pick up and delivery. Mr. Fisher did an admirable job on the clocks that could be repaired. The early mantle clock is a problem as it's very difficult to find the correct/usable electric motor. We decided not to replace it with a quartz movement. The back story is I put a new motor in that clock over 40 years ago and clicked my tongue then about it not being used. Guess what? I didn't plug it back for 40 years and now have the same problem. The Fishers are wonderful people, professional, knowledgeable and a delight to deal with. Highly recommended. Expensive and worth it but think twice about paying a CRAFTSMAN to restore a cheap clock.

I had my 20-year-old tanzanite ring resized at this store and was disappointed with the outcome…read more The center 2.5-trillion-cut tanzanite was not removed before resizing, and a few hours after picking it up, the stone fell out. I later discovered cracks and chips in the exact areas where the prongs had been holding it. I provided photos of the damaged stone and the empty setting. In addition, I sent a copy of the original appraisal certificate to help resolve the issue, but the store DECLINED to REPLACE the STONE or Offer ANY COMPENSATION. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this was a meaningful piece to me, and damage could have been avoided with proper care. I hope the store will reconsider how they handle delicate stones in the future. VERY Disappointing Experience. I would not recommend using their repair service.
