Send more email communication or calls to let the customer know what is going on. Don't assume that the customer understands what they need to do to get things taken care of the way they want! Clarify by spending a little extra time making sure you let the customer know how to get exactly what they want! Not everyone understands that everything is backed up now! I contacted this place for a quote the owner told me they dont offer auto body service. Dennis if that's was the case the. Why not say you were unclear and needed more info , you sent a response that said you were UNABLE AND DIDNT OFFER THE SERVICE. Instead of responded to my review and basically looking like a liar. How did I know you needed more info you didn't request it, you blew me off . You didn't ask because you didn't want to . It was easier to just blow me off. Everyone there (Julia, Dennis, etc.) was very helpful and they did a great job fixing the back of my car. Got rear ended by a tailgating, uninsured motorist. They did a great job repairing damage under the bumper, the bumper, the rear hatch door and a quarter panel. I felt their prices were pretty average. Did it take awhile? Yes. Partly because I went on vacation but mostly because they had to find the parts in salvage as Chevy doesn't make my car anymore (Chevy HHR). I brought my 2010 mustang gt here to be repainted and have a boy racer body kit installed. Most body shops don't do custom work they just want to do the insurance work. Horacio and his team did an amazing job and took every piece off and painted them individually. The kit had problems fitting but they were able to fix the issues, attach additional mounts the kit didn't come with and just go the extra mile. These guys do amazing work and I would recommend them 100%. What sold me on this body shop was the other reviews and photos of the work they did. I have brought many vehicles for repairs here. Needless to say they always do extremely well quality work! You can never tell where they did a repair and the paint longevity hasnt failed me yet! I have triple A and they have a different "in-network" bodyshop they told me to go with because they will cover "lifetime of any repairs done" including electrical components etc.... i said ok, cant hurt. Well you can tell where they did a repair because the paint is just slightly off, they forgot to put back on inner fender and mudflaps (its an outback it comes with it stock). How do i find out? Because they left screws and the components on the passenger side floor. From now on you can guarantee me a new car if i have issues with a different body shop i dont care. This bodyshop has always taken care of me, does great work and guarantees their work. I have never had to go back a 2nd time to correct anything. Always flawless from the get go! read more

When I took the truck for an estimate I was welcomed by the owners and the receptionist. Everyone was professional, welcoming and knowledgable. They took our truck in that same week and we had it back very quickly. The work they did was wonderful. The bumper looked as it did brand new. shortly after I noticed more imperfections on the other side of the bumper and they took care of the other side well after the original work. My entire front end had been damaged from me losing control hitting center divide going from Hwy 80 to Hwy 680. My good friend referred to Preferred Auto Body and Custom where they repaired entire truck, costing me over $12,000.00. Well last few years I noticed the clear coat had come off and silver paint was faded. I took the truck in for an estimate and the company starts with a 'M', and their quote was $3,200.00. The salesman kept telling we give our customers life time warranty. I made an appointment, but later decided to cancel. Anyway, I decided to take my truck back to Preferred Auto Body & Custom, and Mr. Horacio Angel reviewed paint job. He asked me to bring truck back, so his paint guy can take a look. He apologized telling me sometimes paint is defective. I returned a week later, and Horacio told me Preferred Auto Body & Custom gives their customers a 'Life Time Warranty' on all cars painted by them. I was recommend this place by a few friends with show cars and I was very please with the work they did for my car, which is now a show car. When I first went and was trying to figure out a pearl to mix with a color they sprayed 5 different pulls on a metal fender to see how I would like it. They made sure that my paint had the effect I wanted which was a subtle gold pearl on a alpine silver base. It turned out most of the vehicle needed to be re-painted (luckily insurance covered it) and they went out of their way to make it look as good as new. RUDE RUDE RUDE and I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYWAY. I have never had an establishment talk to me the way that Horacio spoke to my husband and I. I explained to this incompetent owner that if he inspected my car thoroughly he would've noticed that all of my tires was damaged in the accident that it was involved in. no. He told me instead that I need to speak with the insurance company and explain that to them. I was over having someone speak done to me and I will not patronize a business that conducts business this way. I sent an email that I will be picking up my car. When I got there, my invoice was not ready because he demanded an explanation. THE WORST! I was never provided an estimate until 11/30/2021 and then told me that I responsible for storage charges even though the BAR website states that, "according to California regulations and the Bureau of Automotive Repair, a shop can't start charging for storage until they invoice the customer for work performed" (which was never done). I have now contacted the BAR and my lawyer. read more
