I am SUPER late to writing this review, but I had just driven by a sign with their business on it and it made me think of my experience! In 2023, I was in an accident and my car was pretty messed up. I was a month out from moving across the country, and would need to drive my car to get there. When I first came in, they had said it would likely be a bit of time before my car could receive service due to them already having a pretty full plate. I was a little bummed but understood, and since I needed my car within the next month, was fully prepared to look elsewhere. Kind of funny to review someone you ultimately didn't do business with, but honestly goes a long way. Since I had body damage but wanted the whole car painted, they referred me to Maaco after giving me a fair estimate. Since they specialize more in body damage repair than total car painting, their painting estimate would be higher and they told me why. Since I wasn't going through my insurance I appreciated that. These guys are the best! I needed some work on my bumper cover after a parking lot incident. I met with JR for the estimate. It was professional, detailed and finished in about 10 minutes. He is detail oriented and clearly explained that they could find additional damage once the bumper was removed. The original estimate was less than I had expected. I dropped off the car a week later on a Tuesday. I figured it would probably take 7-10 days based on how busy they are. I cant say enough good things about the quality and service I received at Rick's recently for a paint recall. They don't mask and spray down the car, like I was expecting, but remove the panels, strip them to the metal and paint them individually, with a result that looks factory fresh. I was surprised to find they also cleaned the interior, including the carpeting, and renewed the headlight covers, and stunned, quite frankly, that they painted the bumper, and other parts not covered in the recall, gratis. Brought my brand new 2021 Acura TLX Type S with some chip damage on the hood (damn trucks on the freeway!). Compared a few places and Rick's B&P offered the fairest price. Dealing with JR and team was a breeze, absolutely no fuss and although the price was lower compared to other shops, the quality in the repair was definitely not sacrificed. Even gave me a free ride back to my house after I dropped off the car! My car has triple coat, pearl white; and before getting it fixed, I tried touching up my paint myself using various kits (the color never came out right). I have an old Honda that I wanted to restore that had body damage/ wear that you would expect from a 23 year old car. I've tried to fix one of the body panels with spray paint, by myself, since it was supposed to be a budget project. But after a few years like this, I decided I wasn't totally happy with it and I went to Rick's Body Shop to see what they could do. JR took the time to listen to my story with the car and presented me with a few scenarios to work with. I felt no pressure to commit to any job. I ultimately decided to get the whole car painted since I believed that fixing the car in stages would leave me unsatisfied. They were able to take in the car the next day. JR followed up with me periodically and even sent me progress pictures throughout the process. I appreciate that because I like having pictures of the car to record its history. When it was all done, I went to pick it up and I was utterly surprised. The car pulling up around the corner brought me back to the late 90's and early 2000's. This is really a 10-star review! Pulled in to Rick's with a brand-new car that was scratched on the rear door by closing a garage door on it. Well, Rick went over the damage and the incredibly efficient steps he would go through to disassemble the door in order to make the job perfect. Very professional and thorough...estimated at $2500 or so. Then he said, "Let me try something first". He came out to the damaged door with a polisher and one minute later the scratches were GONE! TOTALLY GONE! I wanted to pay for his expertise and repair but he just said, "It is gratis." WHAT! Who does business like that? I'll tell you. Professionals, good-natured, confident, up-front wonderful people that are in the world to do the right thing...that is who.
