Just got finished getting an absolutely fantastic repair job done on my wife's 2017 Shelby GT350 by George at Auto Perfectionists. While there is never really a positive aspect of needing to get collision work done and worrying about how bad it could look afterwards, the reason I went out of my way to drive an hour to Fairfield was because he did similar excellent work on my 2007 Corvette over 14 years ago. As soon as it happened this time (idiot teenage son of my neighbor backed into the car and was about to drive away) I immediately told the insurance company that George was the only person I wanted working on it. After calling to tell him about the accident, he said he was backed up at the moment but would be able to squeeze me in since I was a repeat customer. He also surprised me by remembering the exact details of my Corvette from all those years ago. He got the repair done very promptly and sent me progress pictures along the way so I could see how it was coming along. I was also kept in the loop with regards to him communicating to both the appraisal and insurance companies. The driver's door was what got damaged and although it would have been quicker for him to probably order a new door, he took the time to fix it knowing the car would hold its value better with all the original parts. He also managed to limit the amount of painting that was required to just the fender and half of the door by blending it. I was skeptical at first about having blended paintwork but as you can see from the pictures you can't tell the difference. Additionally, he made sure that both the color and texture of the replacement paint matched the factory paint which is something I don't believe most shops care about or even know how to do. The car hadn't been waxed or polished in some time so I was worried about getting it back with only a couple panels that were shiny and the rest, not so much. No problem thanks to George as he gave me a great deal on detailing and polishing the entire car so the whole thing looks as good as shown in the pictures. Hopefully I won't need his services again anytime soon, but I would absolutely go back again as I would highly recommend him. read more

WOW! My car looks B-E-A-UTIFUL (probably better than new) after getting a paint job from George. He only uses the best stuff on the market (it's rare for shops to chose quality over quantity) and explains everything he's going to do so you can rest assured. It only took him two weeks to paint my entire car and I couldn't be happier with his craftsmanship. If I ever need any more work done in the future, I will definitely go to him in a heartbeat. If debating between shops, just give him a call and stop by; you will realize that it's obvious he takes pride in what he does and will only be satisfied if everything is perfect. P.S. I used to have a squealing problem with my brakes, but it went away after it came back from George. Instead of taking short-cuts and taping corners while painting (outcome is messier if done this way), George actually takes everything apart and puts it back together once the work is finished. My husband is certain that George somehow fixed the squealing problem during this process (even though an auto body shop couldn't even figure it out). P.P.S. My roommates dog pounced on my car and scratched it on the hood and drivers side door a month after the fresh paint job. Needless to say, I was extremely upset. I called George to ask for advice and he told me to bring it in. Not only did he make the problem disappear, but he gave my car a wax job all for free! Amazing customer service :) read more

If I could give this man a 10 star, I would !!! I brought him a car that had been used for pizza delivery for a year, and smelt like rotten food.... cornmeal and pizza grease soaked and steamed in (it works it's way out of the bags) and he gave it back looking and more importantly, smelling, like a brand new car !!! he even got all into the trunk and other parts of the car I had not even mentioned ! in short, he went way over and above what I would have even expected, and yet charged me no more than the minimum quote he told me beforehand ! George is amazing. I really didn't know I could meet someone who is more of a perfectionist than I am, but after having George paint my classic... I have. He re-painted one piece three times I think because he just wasn't happy with it yet. Yes, it takes longer than he says it will (so plan for that) - but if you want it done fast, go to Maaco. If you want it painted perfectly, go to this guy. He works on show cars, classics, you name it. And he makes them perfect. Seriously the best auto body / auto paint shop I've ever, ever dealt with. We've known George for a while as we own a shop in the same area (Xtreme Xhaust). We've seen his amazing work and when my husband's 2002 VW Beetle started looking dingy, we knew exactly who to take it to!
