This is a lovely coffee shop in a fancy building making the perfect spot to spend a few hours working or reading. The prices were reasonable and while I didn't love the seating in the coffee shop the rest of the lobby had PLENTY of seating, from comfy couches and cute tables in front of windows you can people watch from. I spent a solid 3 hours here the other day and it was wonderful to see a different side of Houston here. The cafe can be a little hard to find if you don't know it's in the building.

Delicious coffee at just the right temp hot but not scald your tongue hot. Friendly efficient baristas- great place to prep for a morning meeting with excellent coffee!!

I live and work in downtown, and after visiting all of the coffee establishments this is hands down the best in the hood. The baristas Julian and Antonio feel like your two witty roommates who just happen to serve you superb coffee. My coworker and I come here often, to sit, to relax, to enjoy, and to catch up. We order our respective beverages, me a cappuccino, him an americano, and we solve the world's problems in a space flooded with natural sunlight before returning to our day jobs, recharged and rejuvenated. Occasionally I'll arrive in a spicy mood and order one of their seasonal beverages (a blueberry cold brew tonic? Go on). It's a rare and beautiful thing to find a place that brings me this much joy, but the musings of my sacred space can be shared by all if they take the time to sit, notice, and appreciate the things happening here. Baristas calling their customers by name, business deals happening in the banquette, and carefully crafted coffee being served by some of Houston's finest from behind an angular stone bar.

Texas and honey latte is great . Not too sweet. Heresy latte art too. Good atmosphere. I'm out of word don't wanna say more. Can I post now?

Super cool atmosphere! It was difficult to find but the coffee was smooth. Just a large building where it's located on first floor !

Small quiet coffee shop tucked into the corner of one of the office buildings. Easiest entrance is at fannin and capitol corner. Prices are normal, maybe a bit low for the area, and coffee was good and fast. Plenty of seating at noon, unsure how it fares with the morning rush. Good for a quiet afternoon cup though!

The atmosphere is very high end, with a large, white marble counter and ample seating. The space itself opens up into a reception area for the building that makes the place seem very comfortable and large. The cortado had a bit too much foamed milk, which diluted the coffee a bit and left me wanting something a bit stronger. The coffee itself was pretty neutral, with some chocolatey notes. They are affiliated with Blacksmith and Morningstar if you like those places. It was a pleasant experience and I would come here again to relax and talk or work. I didn't see any outlets while I was there if that is important to your studying and working.

Great coffee. And they make their own almond milk. Good place to get a flat white, do a little work, and escape from the Houston heat.

    Very nice setup. Marble counters.

Excellent cortado! Like being @ Blacksmith but during the week. Yum. Beautiful ground floor location Capitol & Fannin/Main. Light/bright. Modern. Good seating. Lots of marble. Closes at 3:00 during week. Closed weekends. Too bad I can only come here when downtown, like today for seminar @ The Rice. Good luck with new location!

The sandwich came out hot and fresh with a good amount of meat, though it definitely wasn't smoked brisket if that's what you're expecting. The Texas latte was okay. It needed more ice for me, so I asked for extra, which helped. Also could use a touch of sweetener. I waited about 8-10 minutes for my order, and by the time my food came out, a table had opened up, so timing worked out perfectly. The space has a really nice vibe overall and feels like a good place to sit for a bit, catch up with someone, or get some work done. Overall, solid experience. Between the atmosphere and convenient location, I'd definitely venture back again.
