Yes - the food tastes as amazing as it looks. Highly recommend. It's in a little stop food joint - so service is nil, but food is great.

It did take a while to get our food but they only had one employee so it was understandable. The food was delicious though and worth the wait. The Elvis was a sweet tooth delight and the breakfast bomb was great for savory lovers. The cheesy eggs are so delicious but I will say it's a bit waffle heavy. I would come back, it's a nice breakfast place.

What a gem! Nestled inside a building it was hard to find using gps, but luckily someone was able to give us directions. Free street parking on the weekends. Or if you you have a handicap placard parking is free but only within the specified time of the meter. Walked in and found a food court with several stands, was a delightful surprise. We went to press waffle, they had a huge selection of savory and sweet waffles. I ordered the house which was a waffle with Nutella, caramel, strawberries and whipped cream, was delish and the waffle was not soggy at all. My bf ordered the Elvis which had bananas, bacon and peanut butter which was also delish. This food stand was also a Starbucks so we ordered espresso and a caramel machiato. All in all everything was so good, including the service. I definitely recommend trying this place especially if you're hankering for a waffle.

Delicious! Hubs and I stopped by to give it a whirl and love it! I got the House, he got the Chicken & Waffle -- both were tasty! Service was fast and friendly. I definitely see why people love Press nestled inside this food hall. Absolutely worth a repeat visit. Cheers!

I would describe Press Waffle as "okay." For $12 chicken & waffles you get what you pay for. It's quick, affordable, and does the job. I'm not sure how freshly the dishes are made, but mine came out warm and the texture of the food didn't taste too fresh. The waffles were very thick and tough, and had a brioche bread-like texture. They were hard but very filling. The chicken was 3 strips. The flavor was good, but the exterior texture was hard-not crispy, but rough. The overall presentation of the plate is good, but I was a little disappointed when I ate it. This place will satisfy your craving for chicken and waffles, but I'd seek other places for quality taste.

Located inside Lyric Market at Downtown, Press Waffle is easy to find and has lotsa customers. There are some bar stools right in front of the kiosk but plenty of seats in the market place. They offer milkshakes, coffees from Starbucks, and of course waffles. Naturally I came here for the waffles only. There are either sweet or savory waffles. It took quite some time for the staff to take my order. They were rushing at least 6 tickets out before they had the time to take more orders. It took quite some time for my food to be ready too. The kitchen looked chaotic, and one of the staff looked overwhelmed. There seemed to be no order in the kitchen. I had the New Rocky Road waffle, and a DIY waffle with strawberries and a scoop of ice cream. The Rocky Road waffle was DELICIOUS. The waffle was warm, crunchy, sweet (but not overly sweet), and had a candied taste. There were mini marshmallows in between the ice cream and the waffle, and also plenty scattered all over the tray. The highlight of the dish is definitely the waffle. The DIY waffle with strawberries and ice cream was scrumptious too! Of course the highlight of the dish was the waffle. If you have the patience to wait for the staff to take your order (about 10mins wait), and you have the extra time and patience to wait for your food or drink (about 15mins wait), this place is for you.

The waffle were really good! I only wish they were a little softer! But honestly other than that I would definitely be back to try the other waffles on the menu! This was the ultimate sugar rush!

I am not a big fan of sweet and savory together, but my daughter told me this place was amazing, so I gave it a try. I'm gonna start saying that is at the Lyric Market Food Court, right in the heart of Houston Downtown. The girl taking the orders is sweet and funny. The menu is not huge but not small either, they have the right amount of items for you to find something you'd like. They have savory waffles and sweet waffles. I ordered The Cristo, a delicious combination of turkey, ham, white cheese and blackberry jam, and OMG this was so good!!! My daughter ordered the American, with bacon crumbles, maple syrup and an egg on top, delicious!!! They also have coffee Definitely coming back soon! Note, the only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because they only had one person cooking so the orders took long time to be ready.

Location: inside lyric market corner spot Staff: very nice and friendly, seems like English is second language, please be patient. Price: average Parking: street or garage ( I went on a Sunday and they will give you a receipt with a scan part for the first 2 hrs to be free) Seating: indoor and outdoor Drinks: bottle drinks available as well as Starbucks Food: I went for a plain waffle and the home waffle. Everything was very well display. However the waffle itself was a bit too hard for me as if it was previously frozen.

It should be a crime to taste so good. The waffle reminded me of the waffles I had in Belgium. Crunchy but soft and sweet inside. The cookie butter was just the correct sweetness. The best dessert ever. I'm going to go with it's super healthy because it was loaded with strawberries. Loved finding them in the Lyric Market.

Chicken tender with a disposable for for reference.

Meh. It's alright. An ok pick if you work in the area but nothing I would travel more than a couple blocks for. Only actual complaint was the cost of extra tenders. They priced me 2.25 per tender for the world's most average tender.

Got the Churro Waffle and the Southern Belle, and they were amazing! Quick service too!

Between the group we ordered two HOT Chicken Thunder Fries, the HOT MESS fries, three orders of the jumbo chicken tenders and waffles (two hot honey, one plain), a full order of mac and cheese, and the Cheeseburger Fryders. It was a lot of food and somehow it was all hot, fresh, and honestly really good. I love a sweet and savory combo when I'm expecting it, and this place definitely delivers. The waffles reminded me a lot of classic Waffle House waffles and the tenders were huge and actually seasoned well. The loaded fries were seriously loaded too. Lots of sauce, lots of meat, and we definitely didn't feel cheated. We were stuffed and still had leftovers. The only thing I personally wasn't crazy about were the Fryders. I think mini waffles as buns would've been better, but they weren't bad and my friend scarfed them down. Service was quick once we ordered and the staff was super chill. They let us sit there gossiping and picking at food for almost three hours without making us feel rushed, which I really appreciated. A couple small complaints though. Ordering is only through the iPads so you don't really get to ask questions, and the tables could definitely be wiped down a bit more often. Also the AC could be turned down a little... it was pretty cold in there. That said, the prices are actually pretty reasonable for The Heights. I spent a little over $50 myself and didn't feel scammed one bit considering how much food we ordered. Funny enough we originally tried to go to their Alabama location on Sunday but the line was out the door and parking was a nightmare. My friend literally drove off and told us to cancel. We ended up driving about 26 minutes to this location instead and honestly I'm glad we did. Great food, quick turnaround, and a fun spot to hang out for a while. We'll definitely be back.

There is a matcha restaurant right next door (called "Isa"), make sure you aren't standing in line for that one, make sure you go inside the actual restaurant (unlike us). They have a kiosk that you can order from and have a pretty extensive menu, so many flavors, sauces, and customization add-ons. I went with the classic Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich Deluxe (add-on) + HOT Honey substitution (add-on), side of regular fries, side of White Cheddar Mac & Cheese. We didn't go during a busy moment so it took only about 10 minutes for them to make our order. Their sandwiches are to DIE for, I would recommend you ask for your sandwich to be cut in half. The chicken was fresh, sauce was sweet and flavorful, they put the right amount of sauce along with tomatoes, lettuce and other add-ons. My rating of the sandwich is 9.4/10, it is literally the perfect sandwich if the sandwich wasn't disintegrating on me, but I think that is a good thing, wouldn't want a crunchy waffle sandwich. The mac & cheese was also very good, would give a 8.1/10, if they crusted their mac & cheese, it would be 10 times better. Would also recommend a bit of a kick, but it complemented the meal pretty well. All in all, this was a great place to stop by for lunch, they had a patio that we sat outside and ate at on a beautiful day. The front cashier was very helpful, walking us through the entire menu and giving us his best recommendations, definitely bettered our experience. For the quality of the meal, the pricing is also very reasonable as well. I would recommend if you are around the area, to stop by and enjoy a meal at this establishment. They have another location as well, which I didn't know (hopefully quality is consistent across the board because quality was great during this visit.

The service was good, but the food does have a bit of a wait. Even though it wasn't busy when we got there, it still took a little minute for the food to come out, so I'd expect it to take longer during busier times. That said, everything came out hot and fresh, and the lemon drop was really good. The only issue was that my first batch of wings had a hair in them. I let the waitress know, and she took them back right away. The replacement wings didn't come out immediately either--it was another little wait--but the new batch came out fresh and hot with no issues. I did really like the happy hour deals. The wings, lemon drop, and cheeseburger sliders came out to $25.99, which felt like a really good value because I was full and still had leftovers. Overall, it was a good experience and I would return. Finding hair in my food was definitely a turnoff, especially on a first visit, but the food, drinks, pricing, and the way the staff handled it still left me with a positive impression.
