Also there are free vacuums there. Much better. Don't waste your time or money at this one.

Plus I knew that my wife would be thrilled to receive a clean car back as a surprise. I was in the area on other business and was hoping there was a hand wash place that could take good care of me. Enter Ralph's. I called ahead to inquire if they could handle the rack on top of the car and they said they were pretty sure, but if it was convenient, to come in and they would take a look see. Turns out the rack was not an issue and despite the fact that it was an unseasonably warm Friday afternoon, Ralph's was able to process my car in a very decent amount of time which is usually not the case at car wash places on nice days in the wintertime. I needed 'The Works' which is not cheap, but I knew it was both worth it and needed. There were a few up charges to note, like most places, they charge a little more for bigger vehicles; and mats were not included, they were extra, $8 for a set of four, which I feel should be included. Having said that, the car came out looking great both inside and out. When I checked out, they gave me a discount of some sort which negated the oversized vehicle add on charge, and to boot, gave me a stamped receipt that was good for an exterior wash in the next 7 days. So a great experience was had, the customer service in the lobby was expedient and friendly; and the best part of all, was that my wife was floored at how well cleaned her vehicle was and commented that she would be going back to Ralph's because they do a better job than some of the other places we have tried. When I came in he continued to treat me with an attitude and told me I should have seen the sign on the side of the building. I said how are new customers supposed to know this. TJ unfortunately was the manager so I could nothing about it. I did get my car washed, and mad sure I tipped the guys good, they're not responsible for the manager treating customers like dirt. I will never step foot in that establishment again.

In the world of automotive repair, you can't always trust that the work was performed properly nor honestly. My experiences with Bockman's have proven that they never provide less than a 100% of quality service and trust. I definitely value them.

Then the guy has to come out and help you with the credit card machine because it takes a secret number of key presses to work and then you have to sit there and listen to him tell you the complete history of the machine, why he hates it, how it's a pain in the butt to come out, etc. Basically everything but his mother's birthplace. It's probably OK for self service, and it's one of the few brushless in the area, but I think I'll Drive a few miles.

Sometimes there's an attendant; sometimes there isn't. Conveniently located right across from a gas station; there's rarely a line. Car wash prices are fairly standard, and they sell tokens. The machine you pay for your carwash doesn't reliably recognize bills, so I usually pay be credit card - good luck trying to get a receipt; it always seems to jam in the machine. If you're willing to deal with that, this place is just fine. The machine did stiff me a carwash once, but the attendant made it right on my next visit (even with no receipt - see comments above).

Fortunately my breakdown happened less than 50 miles from home. Despite not having had an appointment, my car was checked-out the first thing the next day, on Monday morning. Awesome. Jay (service advisor) called to tell me how much the shop charges per hour before the mechanic ran a diagnostic test on my vehicle: $115/hr., but I was fine with that. At that point what was I going to do? Find another mechanic? No. I live an hour away from Brian Bemis. Jay called throughout the week to update me on what was going on, which I appreciated. A couple of small repairs (ultimately no major problems) turned into about 6 fixes, so the bill added up quickly. I picked my car up on Friday, July 11th and it's been running just fine since the repairs. I was a little bummed it took 5 business days to fix only minor issues, but this was primarily due to the fact that they don't have all car parts in-stock (at least not mine). There were about half a dozen things to be repaired and my total bill after tax was about $1800. Yes, going to a dealer is expensive, but they also work with my specific car day in and day out; Jay even told me about an ongoing recall (ongoing since 2006!) with the subframe of my car. No other mechanic had ever mentioned this to me, but any non-Hyundai certified mechanic presumably wouldn't have know about this. My car is only worth $2500, so I likely won't continue to dump money into repairs. However, this dealership's body shop is fantastic, top-notch and professional. I have zero complaints. They even vacuumed out and washed my car. My tires are still shiny almost 2 weeks later. A little 'thank-you' for the $1800 worth of business? Probably.

Called Greg at Bockman's and explained the situation and her tight schedule being a student athlete. He helped navigate her time restraints and they were able to fix a wiring failure and a check engine light that happened to come on while she was driving there. Turned out we needed a new gas cap. As a dad who is no where near his daughter to help her out. The folks over at Bockman's were kind to my daughter and very helpful.
