Premier Cuts has a staff that is not only caring but very knowledgeable about their profession! They may run off walk-in's but that DOES NOT mean they are a quick cut shop, they take the time to listen to what you want AND offer advice and tips on how to take care/style your new look! I have had the awesome opportunity to get to know the staff very well and I love them all! I have had my hair cut/styled by mostly all of the staff! Both Samantha and Julie have cut my hair and I loved it, while Velma,Ben, Estella, and Diana have blow dried/straightened /tinseled/ feathered/offered advice on my hair and have ALL done a lovely job (considering I have NAPPY hair) If I ever have questions about shampoo or products I can ask any of the knowledgeable women! I recommend any of the awesome staff! Velma, the manager, is very caring about her shop and you can tell, fun fact: they take the time to decorate the salon for numerous holidays even cinco de mayo :)The receptionists are always kind, and make sure to greet you as soon as you walk in! one last thing! I got a haircut at the Kyle location about two years ago. Haven't gone anywhere since except to the San Marcos location. You receive a great haircut for a decent price. They've always been extremely nice and they offer a military discount. I go here because they are better than the PX haircuts. I highly recommend this place! Or better yet, I don't recommend this place to anyone, that way I don't have to wait in line. I have never had an attitude or problem with any of the women who work there. Whether it be the greeter or the stylist, they've always had a professional and friendly attitude. In fact, I am not a very good conversationalist because I'm old, cranky in the military has made me this way,, but for some reason, I feel compelled to talk to these ladies. I have been going to premier cuts now for the last three years, and have always left beyond happy with my haircut. I started going there because of their Mensday Wednesday $10 haircuts, and usually let whoever was first available cut my hair. I had a fairly simple haircut so I was never particular about who cut it, however this year I decided to grow my hair out and wanted to go to the same barber and needed a little advice. I had seen Ben working every time I went in, and had my hair cut by him a few times over the years so I decided to request Ben specifically. Ben went above and beyond answering all of my questions about products, timelines, and methods to grow my hair longer, faster, and healthier. He never once tried to sell me on a product, but did provide a number of options at many different stores. I could tell he was truly passionate about his job, and I left feeling exponentially more confident about my decision to grow my hair out. 5 STARS! These ladies are spectacular! My son and I go here and they always do a great job. I am very picky and their haircuts are consistent. I ask for a skin fade which is tough to do but they offer the Norelco fade and it's perfect for what I need. My son gets a 1/2 to #1 fade on the sides and a scissor cut on top. His is more simple but they always make it top notch leaving no lines viewable in the fade. Their prices are very fair and cheaper than Super Cuts, Sports Clips, Fantastic Sams and Great Clips. Their stylists never change so you always go in seeing the same people. It's been like this for years. I love this location! I took my son there for his first haircut and the stylist was so great with him (it was kind of traumatic) and did a fabulous job on his hair. Since then we've taken him 3 more times, and each stylist has been just as good and done a great job on his hair! He's also way more comfortable and knows what's going to happen in that airplane chair (including the candy afterward)! I've also had my hair cut there. The first time I was nervous it was just a "chop shop" because of the crazy cheap prices, but (because I was pretty strapped) did it and was very pleasantly surprised! I have been visiting Premier Cuts almost since it opened. All my life I have always been picky about who I let cut my hair, and have tried many different places, and expensive salons. I can honestly say that after Estella cut my hair, I have never let any one else touch it. Not only do I trust her to do my hair, I trust her to cut my kids hair. I'm pretty picky. I have had a difficult time finding barbers who can get it right. Luckily, my girlfriend recommend Premier Cuts! I recommend and go to Estella! She always gets it right! I needed a haircut, so I went here as I have been for years. It was $10 Wednesday men's haircuts, so that was a plus. I called in, put my name on the list & waited about 5 minutes until a stylist was open. I got Julia for the 3rd or 4th time & was extremely pleased that I did. Premier Cuts is my place for haircuts for about a year now. Apparently I like it and not just because of the prices. My go to person there is Diana. She does a great job on my hair.
