Clean, comfortable, and with astonishingly helpful staff. When I ended up with what sounded like a…read morerugby practice going on in the room above me, they moved me to another room. The rooms are furnished with the usual that you'd expect in this price range: bed, chair or divan, nice desk, lots of lights, air conditioning, an open wardrobe, TV, coathooks, one drawer, hair dryer vanity, toilet and bathtub/shower. The bathtub is nice and deep, although unusually high off the floor. I found myself missing the mini-fridge that so many chains include. The free breakfast is the best I have seen in any hotel I've stayed: full English breakfast, a good choice of cold cereals, fruit, yoghurt, juices, coffee, tea, etc. Some items, you have to ask for the kitchen to make up for you (vegetarian sausages, porridge, omelettes). The restaurant is also open the rest of the day, but like most hotel restaurants, it's pretty overpriced. Fortunately, High Wycombe is pretty well supplied with fun places to eat, a number of which are within easy walking distance. There is also lots of shopping nearby. There is free wi-fi, with the option to upgrade to a fast connection by paying for it.

Adorable little boutique hotel diagonal from Windsor castle on High Street. My main complaint is…read morethere is no gym in the hotel. There is a gym that guests can use for a small fee that is 3 minutes away but it doesn't open until 8 or 9am depending on the day. That is too late for me since I was going to work early every day. The rooms are tiny with a double bed. I had a view of the rooftop next door. The mattress was pretty firm and the bed had 4 pillows one of which was a feather. The bathroom had a nice shower with one of those rain shower heads and the water got really hot. The shower door was one of those half doors that doesn't close. That seems a bit weird but it worked. The bathroom has a towel warmer but mine was not working which was unfortunate. It also got a bit stuffy in my room at night luckily the window was able to open a little bit, enough for fresh air! There are coffee pods, and tea in the room. I love that they give you the Walkers biscuits in your room. They are so good and there were many flavors that they replenished every day. Also they gave you water in your mini fridge. My co worker was not happy that there was no lotion or conditioner in the bathroom. She asked for lotion at the front desk but then had to buy some conditioner. I always bring mine so it wasn't a big deal for me. My reservation came with a buffet breakfast in the restaurant. It was your traditional English breakfast The coffee was horrible. 2/10 on the coffee scale. The location is fabulous and very walkable. Kitty corner to the Windsor castle and shopping is steps away.

This is NOT a luxury hotel. The whole place is so run-down and in dire need of a renovation. Most…read morestaff seem to be either completely overwhelmed or utterly incompetent and the front desk is woefully understaffed. Communication, service and the ability of staff to solve any problem was frustrating to say the least. Because the rooms have no air-conditioning, our family was unable to stay in room no.65 due to high temperatures, zero ventilation and a broken fan-the room was entirely uninhabitable. We had to share the other room we had booked (not ideal by any means) and were not given a refund for room no.65! Aside from the prime location of this hotel, it is literally the only positive feedback it deserves. I would never recommend staying here. Save your money and avoid this property. The cost is far too high for such poorly run and unkempt hotel. If I could give zero stars, I would.

The hotel had no backup power for the outage so they shipped us 25 miles away by cab to a sister property with no communication except we were being moved. We were told to wait in the dark lounge - no flashlights, lanterns not even a candle We were driven by cab and basically abandoned in the town of Windsor. There were several hotels with power in town but they would have had to pay for the room. General manager, Mr. Kumar, did not return my calls. I also found a plastic filament in my soup which the hotel told me was "thyme".
