Last island is home to raccoons who are pretty chill especially if you happen to have fruit or nuts. Staff were friendly and helpful going through the basics. As someone who had kayaked only a few times before, I didn't feel too challenged by the route. We also were running five minutes late, called in, and they were kind enough to hold the boat. Shout out Adam and Jose. Recommendations and tips: - If you're not a local, plan an extra half hour to get there due to bad Miami Beach traffic. - Wear bug spray and sunscreen. - Wear lighter clothing and sun protection (hat, sunglasses). He gave us proper instruction on how to use the jet skis and what to do if we fell in the water. Each of us were provided with life jackets. Because we started off in the canal we were able to get comfortable on the jet skis before heading out to the ocean. Once in the ocean we were able to open the throttle and feel the speed. The early morning tour was a great option because the waters were calm. This tour had a balanced mix of faster speeds and also slower idle speeds in the canals which allowed for seeing all the sights. This tour started in Pompano Beach, came back around to Lighthouse Point down the ocean to Fort Lauderdale and back up through the canal. I was surprised at how long we were on the skis - for about 2.5 hours. We were satisfied with the timing but you'd also want to make sure you have proper sun protection. I also liked that the office KC Jet Ski is operated from had little extras to buy in case something was forgotten - waterproof phone cases, sunglass straps, sunglasses, etc. This was an awesome experience. We arrived around 7:30-7:45am and were on the water by 8am. We spent about 2 1/2 hours rolling to some of the spots they knew well. A couple of kingfish and a few others (don't ask me I'm just there to catch them all). The entire morning was relaxing, fun and filled with great conversation. The Captain Jeff pulled out the kite and I have to say this has been on my bucket list for a long time. I've always wanted to see it done live and in person. What an amazing experience. I was able to catch a couple of great fish as they put the kite out. But unfortunately for us we had to pull it back in about 20 minutes in due to a storm rolling in super fast. I plan on doing this again though I would love a catch and release for a sailfish. Dave was amazing and kept us going non stop and gave us breaks when needed. He was just awesome and fun to chat with. My husband was a good sport (seeing as my fish were bigger and better eating than his) and that made the trip for me! :) 4 hours was awesome but next time I'll try to book a couple of days maybe a morning and then a different afternoon. So much fun!! I can't wait to come back. The awesome thing is the guys recommended we filet one of the fish up to take up the dock to a restaurant that would cook it right up for us. So that is exactly what we did...you can't get any fresher than that...what an awesome recommendation!

Captain Mark approached him and told him that because his skin was "too dark," he had to pay immediately. He was shocked and offended by this comment. No customer should ever be treated differently based on the color of their skin. He's experience was completely unacceptable and felt discriminatory. I would not recommend this captain to anyone. By the way they didn't catch anything because the captain was focused on fishing instead of driving the boat to different spots.
