Nurses who didn't witness the complete altercation are telling her she did a good job. Some of the Dr's have days of being rude or at least 'bedside' manner is on the cold side. We will see how things go.

My visit however could not have been worse. This has been a few years ago that this incident took place, so I'm hoping Dr. Catalano and Premier Orthopedics have grown up a bit since my 1 and only visit. During my visit I explained to Catalano that my military unit (1-102 cav) was getting ready to deploy overseas and that I needed advice on what to do to get my knee better, so I could deploy. I handed him my films and my paperwork as he turned on his audio voice recorder. He barely said a word and then shut his voice recorder off. He maybe spent 5-10 seconds looking at my films and then put them away. He looks back at me and starts talking trash about our deployment and the fact that he doesn't have to help me at all. He then told me to "Get the hell out of his office" and to not return again. He also yelled back to me "I'm not a rubber stamp" in response to me trying to simply get help for my knee. On the way out the door his secretary told me to never come back again. She had long straight dark hair and spoke slight broken English, maybe Filipino or something, I never got her name, but she was equally as rude. Keep in mind, all I wanted was to get better and get the help I needed. I didn't need his opinion or to be tossed out in the manner that I was, or to be talked about so negatively for serving our country. I Was polite to Dr. Catalano and gave him no attitude even when he displayed his ignorance. I just shrugged my shoulders and left. To me he made a total fool out of himself and I sure will never see him again. My ACL ended up healing without his advice (I used a much better doctor that didn't act like a moron ). We had a successful deployment and we all came home safe a year later. This doctor should just stick to his practice and what we pay him to do and not judge those who serve that protect his right to act in the way he did. He acted like a child. Since then I have recommended people to find other orthopedists. My biggest regret about the visit was paying him my $15 co-pay. I should have walked out paying nothing and then called the insurance company and told them not to pay him. After all, he didn't do what he was paid to do. Maybe he is/was a good doctor like my friends and family described, but on that day I saw a spoiled brat that wanted to argue and try to belittle, not heal and help. The worst visit to any doctor by FAR.
