I got bids from four different companies. Alpha was the last one, and honestly, I expected them to be the most expensive based on the reviews and the professionalism of Alberto Jr.--and I mean that as a compliment. He was incredibly professional, sharp, and had just graduated from the Foster School of Business. This guy is going places. When their bid came back, they weren't the cheapest--but only a few hundred dollars off. I knew right away I wanted to go with them. They started the project within a week and even finished ahead of schedule. They delivered on every promise, showed up exactly when they said they would, and the crew was made up of true professionals. A really cool touch: Alberto's dad, Alberto Sr., is the owner and was on site every single day, working hands-on with the team. The work is absolutely gorgeous and far exceeded my expectations. We needed extra parking space next to our driveway. Word of mouth brought us to a gentleman named…read moreNacho. He owns Navarro Concrete Construction. He came by to assess our needs a couple days following our request. We approved the price and work was begun the next day! The crew began promptly at 7:30 AM to clear the grass and weeds out. They poured the gravel and filler and used a machine to smoosh it down and flatten. They had all the special laser tools to be sure to angle it just right so it would drain into the existing drain in our driveway. We live in wetlands so this is very important. I like to take pictures of any work improving our home so I took lots of them and the workmen didn't give me the side-eye too many times. lol. The concrete was delivered promptly just before 2:00 PM. Everything went smoothly and the workers had the slab covered and were ready to go home by 5:00. Rain was in the forecast. Nacho and his crew returned at 9am the following morning to finish up. They removed the plastic and boards, and hosed it down thoroughly. They even wound up our hose when they were finished! The pictures will tell a little story from start to finish. They also were able to put a nice little concrete border around our crawlspace where there was rotting wood from when the house was first built in 2002. I highly recommend this company because it is rare that a contractor would have this close of a relationship with a concrete supply company to get jobs done quickly. Scheduled an appointment for my wood stove to be cleaned and inspected. We have lived here for 8…read moreyears and never used it since I am fearful of fire. Scheduled for a Monday and unfortunately the person who could do it wasn't able to look at it and we rescheduled for Wednesday. Nick came and took a look, inspected it, got on the roof, cleaned the stove out. Everything was good and he answered questions we had about lighting it for the first time and what we should use in it. Wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. If you need a fireplace or wood stove inspected I'd give them a call.

Out of 10 companies I called they were 1 of 3 who called back and 1 of 2 who quoted...they were the best priced. I have at least 5 neighbors in my gated community who have been fighting daily with concrete workers in order to get jobs they started weeks before mine done...they are all about half way done at this time and still fighting daily with their concrete contractors. If I didn't have to wait for my HOA'S approval, these guys would have had a 2 week from quote to start time. I couldn't be happier with their work.
