Mike replaced a malfunctioning irrigation timer for me last week. He came as promised, just several days after I initially contacted him. (Actually, he was ten minutes later than originally scheduled, but he called ahead to tell me that he was stuck in bad traffic, told me that he would be about ten minutes late, and arrived, as he said he would, ten minutes after that.). Mike suggested that I replace my 20+ years-old controller with a new "smart" controller. I showed him the location of the hard-wired old timer, and he went to work. After a bit longer than an hour, the new controller was good to go. I'm glad I accepted his suggestion to upgrade to a "smart" controller. After Mike had completed the installation, I downloaded an app (as Mike had directed), used the app to program the new controller on my phone without much difficulty, and now I can control my irrigation system from my phone. Very cool. Mike seemed quite competent and was easy to communicate with and get along with. (While he was here, he even pointed out a safety hazard in my back yard and suggested an inexpensive remedy, which I have already implemented.) I was anxious to get my irrigation system working properly again, so I didn't "shop around" with any other sprinkler repair tradespeople to compare prices, and therefore I can't really comment on how Mike's prices compare to others. Ok. This is a first. I usually do not write positive reviews. Hey if you take pride in your job and take my hard-earned money, you better do a damn good job. But it is not often that I meet someone as good as Louis. If you are looking for someone to fix your sprinkler system, why the heck are you still looking? Just give this guy a call. I had t sprinkler lines that were pushed against the fence by a tree. One of them had burst. Had a number of people come in and give estimates. They all shook their head and made a big deal out of the problem. Louis came in, gave a very reasonable estimate, and said he could do it right away. At first, we had a problem shutting down the water main. It was stuck. So, called EBMUD and had them shut the water. Louis then took 30 minutes to fix the problem. When I showed him a long-term unrelated problem, he offered suggestions, and then he said maybe he could fix it. This had nothing to do with what he was there for and in fact nothing to do with irrigation. He ended up fixing the problem there and there. Throughout all this, he was friendly and courteous. I don't know how to sing (and believe me, you don't want me to), otherwise, I would be singing his praises. Hire him! read more

Louis came over to investigate a mysterious leak in our sprinkler system. We had no external evidence (mud, puddling, etc) but knew we had a leak as water was running out a drainage pipe when we ran Station 1. I sprung a leak! Was a bummer to see my drip system spraying water off in a number of directions after I had some work done and added some plants. Hiring Louis to diagnose and repair my sprinkler leaks was a great decision! After numerous people - my landscaper, my gardener, and another leak repair guy - tried and failed to fix my leaks, Louis showed up and within an hour had repaired a total of 8 different leaks - I thought I only had 2 - and saved me a lot of water that had been leaking out from my system. Louis is a pro. He is competent, efficient, practical and gets the job done. My lawn had poor sprinkler coverage with dead spots due to insufficient area coverage (low water pressure and insufficient reach). He got the bottom of the issue... actually, issues... quickly. I had a couple of below ground leaks in one zone causing poor water pressure and spotty coverage. He detected the problems and repaired them, as well as replacing a couple of faulty sprinkler heads in another zone. He did what was needed to get my system working as it should. He arrived within then estimated window, was able to diagnose my problem quickly and helped with a general inspection of my system as well as addressing a couple of issues I was having with it. Louis came to our property to problem solve a 25 year old water system with multiple abandoned zones and broken lines. Very happy to have hired Louis to troubleshoot and fix my backyard sprinkler system. After several hours of checking wires, etc., it was evident that the electrical to the backyard had been compromised 4 months ago from a fence company.
