I purchased their "screened" top soil, and it was absolutely terrible quality. The soil was full of debris, rocks, and material that clearly was NOT properly screened. It created a huge amount of extra work and frustration. I called multiple times trying to speak with the owner. Every time I was told he was "out on job sites," which I understand can happen. I continued calling every few days just trying to resolve the issue professionally. Eventually I was met with attitude, hung up on, and then they proceeded to block my calls entirely. I rarely write reviews, but buyers beware. This company does not care about customer service and they DEFINITELY do not properly screen their top soil. His crew was already in the neighborhood and showed up just a few hours later. They safely took down all three trees (including a full stump grind on the big one near the house), removed a giant heavy branch hanging toward our roof from the utility tree, and trimmed two others. Everything was done professionally with great care around the house, power lines, and landscaping. They clearly know what they're doing and worked efficiently -- the whole job only took a couple of hours. The price was very fair for the amount of work and the risks involved. Sammy also informed us to let our town know which tree would be cut down to obtain the proper permit and approval. They also provided their updated insurance on file with our town. We needed our big White Oak Tree trimmed and elevated. It was first trimmed and elevated by…read moreAnderson back in October 2015. when they were here in 2019 to trim the hedges it didn't need to be trimmed again yet. The night before a mama squirrel carried her babies in her mouth into one of 2 nests in the tree. I told Anderson's crew, and they were extremely careful not to disturb the wildlife living in the tree. The tree looks beautiful, you can see through the branches, and that's where the wind can blow through so that when we get a nice powerful windstorm, the tree will not blow over! Everybody should get their trees trimmed and elevated. Anderson's crew were an hour early and their prices are always reasonable, not to mention the crew is wonderful, and they leave the yard looking better than it was when they got here. It's a pleasure doing business with them and that is why we are repeat customers. I have two other reviews here from work they've done. We will continue using them. Thank you, Anderson Tree Service! Unfortunately when it comes to thew quality of the product it doesn't match the service provided. Wood is not fully cured , it is very hard to light and will not maintain desirable temperatures. If you order early and age it yourself like I do then these guys are great. I only give 3 stars because after my first experience I called and complained about the wood. I requested more with the stipulation that it must be cured , I even offered to pay extra. After reassurance from Foxwood the order was placed and again the wood was delivered half cured and preformed poorly in my stove. I had to buy kiln dried wood and mix it in to get it started. I now order early to ensure the wood is ready when I need it.
