I used to love them, but they have been taken over by AI bots. On Wednesday my yarn was delivered with an open box, but at least to the correct address, on Thursday they somehow changed my address and it was sent to some random address in another part of town. Try calling the company? AI hangs up on you now. Try leaving a message? Well if you say more than a sentence, AI hangs up on you. Try correcting the now incorrect address? You can't do that. I guess they do well selling at the dollar store. I've written emails, tried leaving phone messages, all I get is robots or hang ups. They are not BBB accredited. read more

It's time to Premier the new Yarns that Barbi bought. This is the brand that Barbi buys a lot... it's very good quality at a good price, and she appreciates they have the yarn at the Dollar Tree which makes it even cheaper. Of course I'm the one who buys it for her. They have a wide selection of products and colours and are really good. read more

I placed a $50 order online and shipped to Canada with shipping fee $27 ! However that is not worst. After I received the order, I received another bill from their shipping partner FedEx and they charged me another $48.89. My order amount is just $50 USD, the shipping fee is $27 USD and furthermore I was charged another $48 CAD unexpectedly. That is ridiculous. For the hidden charge of $48 CAD, Premier Yarns didn't mention that at all when I placed the order and later on they refused to help on the dispute with excuse of the hidden cost not being charged by them. I love Premier yarn. I have been ordering for the past month. I have made a shawl, hats, and baby blankets. I love the colors. I do agree that is hard to find the middle starting point. They need to work on a better way of balling yarn. read more

Run like the plague from Premier Yarns!!!! Although they have some yarns I absolutely love, they are not worth the many issues. Many skeins are riddled with knots, and breaks, continuously found throughout. I cannot find the center pull with most skeins without pulling out a third of the center which is a knotted, matted mess! Some skeins have been so matted I have had to unravel and reroll into balls before I could use. They refuse to post my reviews, even the glowing ones. When I inquired as to why my reviews were not posted, they admitted that they choose which ones to post. If you read through, you will see that ALL their lies have great reviews even though some of their lines I wouldn't use to crochet something for a stray dog! I reached out to customer service to ask that some of these issues be addressed and received rude responses. So, I emailed the CEO, he responded kindly enough, but wanted me to mail him the skeins back. I had used them. I had taken pics, so I emailed those...he never responded back. It is now a month later, I placed an order yesterday and they canceled it today claiming I canceled it. When I asked why they thought I canceled it I got this response: "Due to our last interaction, we feel that our products are not up to your standards. To not leave you unsatisfied, we have decided to cancel your order and refund the payment back to you. Thank you for understanding."...So, rather than addressing the issues, they have decided I can't order. Who the hell does that!!!!? And even though they say they are a NC company, their mill is in Turkey! read more

the cheapest yarn and similar if not same quality as others that are way more expensive. i wish they had a 100% cotton one --kinda silly how the "just cotton" one is 85% cotton & 15% polyester imo. read more

One of the ladies in the shop named Melissa was the sweetest little lady ever, she was so attentive and helpful. she showed me around the shop and told me all about the online and on-site sewing classes they offer. Melissa and a gentleman named Pete showed me these huge quilt making machines that makes 10 foot,12 foot and 14 foot quilts on an automated machine (so much for grandma doing it be hand). The Lionel Store is located in Concord Mills Mall, so it shares a parking lot with all of the other tenants of the building. At the time we visited on a Thursday afternoon in July, the mall was crowded but not too bad. We were able to secure a parking spot somewhat near an entrance. The store is located near the food court, and is relatively easy to locate via a map. As stated, we were in town looking at NASCAR Teams and NASCAR-related things. So, we were only looking at NASCAR items and die casts in the Lionel Store. Therefore, this review is solely focusing on that aspect of the store, and does not apply to the trains that Lionel also carries. The store has a wide range of 1:24 scale die casts from 2023 through more recent releases in elite, standard, and other various finishes. The selection is decently organized throughout the store, but it would be helpful if it was sorted by driver. Instead, it is mainly sorted with the elites in one section, older die casts on a table, a few vertical racks of various variations of die casts (elites, standards, etc), and walls with both elite and standard. The back wall had various race win die casts in 1:24 scale. All of the 1:64 scale die casts were either at or behind the counter. Given that this is the store of the manufacturer for the die casts, there is a vast selection and variety that you will not find at your local box stores. That alone is a pro of stopping here and checking out the cars available. During our visit, there were several sales going on for the die casts and NASCAR items. The 2024 1:24 scale die casts (previous year models) were 30% off of retail price, and the 2023 1:24 scale die casts (two years ago's models) were 50% off of retail price. There was also a bargain bin of various 1:64 die casts to look through. The staff at the store were helpful, and gave recommendations for newer 1:64 scale die casts that they thought would either retain or increase in value. Overall, visiting the Lionel Retail Store was a great experience. It can be somewhat overwhelming shopping here, given the organizational style for the die casts. It is hard to simply browse and pick die casts that just catch your eye, but still manageable. The variety alone is enough to entice any NASCAR die cast fan to stop here and take a look.

He's only four, so he is not ready for Lionel trains yet, but it was still fun to browse around. They had a ton of different options and some fun showcases. Right now they were displaying their light up holiday tracks, which were super fun. This store has a huge selection of Nascar cars as well, makes sense based on the store's proximity to the Speedway. I ended up getting me son small railway signs for his wooden tracks at home. I would have loved to see more accessories for purchase that didn't require a Lionel train. But, I also get that, it's not the purpose of the store. Employees were friendly and happy to help if you needed it!
