The name is now UEC Theatres. Small size theaters upgraded. Seating for sure is now power recliners(see pic). I was told the sound system and video was also upgraded. Yet the coming attractions were heard, not seen. I was told the bulb on that projector was out, but the feature film projector would work just fine. Staff was as friendly as you can expect young employees to be. They obliged my wife's request to get butter halfway down in the bag. They also had a self serve hot butter station. The counter and floor glistening around it. Theater was clean but bathrooms were not after only 2 movie turnovers. They do military discount and senior pricing after the matinee's(see pic). This is THE place to see movies in north central Ohio! I drive from Sandusky (right past the awful Cinemark) to see movies here. Recliners and assigned seating in ever theater. Tasty food and good prices. Good technology in the theaters with well set-up sound and bright digital screens. Minus one point for the rare staffer that is less-than-great. But it is hard to staff a theater at minimum wage with local school kids and expect them to treat everyone properly. read more

Two minutes late to the schedule start time and with about fifteen minutes of trailers to come the theatre was darkened so that you could not see what seat was yours nor if anyone was actually sitting in that aisle. It was the noon matinee. If theaters wish to run trailers for fifteen minutes or more you have to expect people will be late. It was the first time I was in that theatre and probably the last time. Thank God it was matinee pricing so I only threw away few bones. Saw a movie at the theatre 15 minutes up the road yesterday so I was not going to waste time watching trailers for movies that appear God awful. I would stay away from this theatre if it is your first time and you need some lighting to see your seat. No major problem if there was no assigned seating. read more

Very very disappointing went to see a movie the light where so low you couldn't find your seat. Had to use my cell phone flashlight to see. There was trash on the seats left from the earlier movie. Went to use the restroom half the locks on the doors where broken and there was something spilled on the floor that made my shoes stick to the floor. Also when you first walked in the floor was not clean. Sorry we will never be back again. read more

For an opening weekend showing of Avengers: Endgame, taking place at the end of April, you'd think they would have the sense to turn on the air conditioning. Since they failed to do so, we roasted during the three hours of that movie. The two teenage boys who cleaned Theater 4 for the Saturday night 9:45pm showing clearly couldn't care less about customer service and even talked negatively about the customers within earshot of said customers. I will not returning to this theater. read more

The screen is adequate. It's not nearly big screened like the megaplexes I'm used to. The sound system is very good. I loved the set up of the seating. It is true theatre seating and there is PLENTY of leg room in front of you to allow you to stretch out during long movies. The staff is friendly and young. I wouldn't call them professional but they were plenty nice and I didn't get a bad vibe from them. The concession prices are ok. I don't know why people are on here complaining about them. Around my way candy can go as high up as $5.00. The games they have in the lobby are awesome. They had Stargate : The pinball game! That is awesome! read more

This theater is not worth the visit. Reasons: Staff and management are rude, unhelpful and a lot of negative attitude. The glasses for the 3-D movie broke And they wee unwilling to exchange just before the movie. The theater it self was fine to include the seating but the manager made the experience unexceptable! Love this theater! The seats used to be normal theater seats but have been updated to reclining seats. Staff is excellent. Good picture and sound system, and $5 Tuesdays! Can't beat it! read more

Yikes.. well I don't really know what to say... But the theater has clearly seen some better days. Maybe try to do a little something to spruce the place up. It will do for bringing my brother in law out for his birthday but it makes me miss the nice theaters in Columbus. read more

I have to say its a nice theater. BUT the sound system is terrible, couldnt hear shit, it was so low i couldnt hear half the movie. Then i told the manager, she could care less...said she will check it out but did nothing. Bad management on top of sound system..... Today was the last time I will ever come to this theater. I decided to come to the theater to see a showing of The Conjuring 2, and the actual experience of sitting in the theater almost ruined the movie for me. For one thing, the lighting was incredibly dark- I'm pretty sure they're breaking some kind of law here, actually. I actually had to ask a custodian to turn on the lighting so I could actually find my seat. Secondly, when the lights were turned on, I could see there were HOLES in the ceiling above the front two rows. Now I see why the lights are off- nobody wants to see the theater is that horrible. Thirdly, the intro of the movie was ruined when the title came up and I saw that the curtains on the side of the screen (which are put there for certain formats of movies) were being projected on to. They didn't bother to change the screen to fit the movie's format, and this was at least the second showing of that day. Finally- this is the only time I have ever seen this happen in a film- the film LAGGED. It lagged like it was a poor-quality rip from Bittorrent being projected onto the screen. This happened at several places, most noticeably when characters made audible breaths. I've been going to this theater since it opened, and now, I'm going to make the drive to Sandusky every time I want to see a movie. A 30-minute drive is worth a theater that gives a damn about its customers. read more

Normally I would give five stars - we have been here many times with no issues - but had a very unpleasant experience tonight. We went a few hours early to purchase tickets for the 7:15 LEGO Batman movie that my son has been looking forward to for months. When purchasing we had to choose our seats in advance. We chose F7, 8 & 9 - right in front. We arrived at 7:00 and took our seats. My fiancé then went back out to buy some drinks. While he was away a couple with their son came up to me and my son claiming we were in their seats! They showed their tickets to me and, yep, F7, 8 & 9! Hmm! My fiancé had our tickets so my son and I got up to go find him. The family sat down. I took our tickets back to the man and showed him that lo and behold we BOTH had tickets for F7, 8 & 9! So we went out to find a manager. The man and my fiancé went up to the kiosk to try to straighten it all out. The manager seemed at a loss. She offered no apology or acceptable resolution. She kept saying it wasn't her fault and there wasn't anything she could do - including issuing a refund. (Meanwhile a veritable mob was waiting to purchase tickets. There should be more than two people working the box office on a Saturday night.) She claimed the seats were all but sold out even though a good portion of the theater was empty. We would have gladly moved seats to the empty ones in front but they were supposedly taken? The other couple had purchased their tickets online so she thought if she had their receipt she could figure out what went wrong. She went into the theater where the other lady and her son were sitting in row F and FINALLY figured out that their tickets were for FRIDAY's show!! Then instead of apologizing she went on to tell my fiancé and the other gentleman that it wasn't her fault and it was no reason to attack her. NEITHER of them raised their voice or used fowl language. They simply wanted a resolution. She was adamant that it wasn't her fault but as the manager she needs to take responsibility for the theater's and employees' role in the problem. Yes the other family had tickets for the wrong day, HOWEVER, when they presented their online receipt an EMPLOYEE printed the tickets. An EMPLOYEE failed to recognize the error. The system is clearly flawed and that is the THEATER's responsibility. And if it weren't for the assigned seating NONE of this would have happened. My family missed the first 10 to 15 minutes of the movie and the other family ended up leaving. I feel so bad for that little boy who I'm sure was looking forward to seeing Batman as much as my little guy. The other family made an honest mistake and instead of making an unpleasant situation less unpleasant for everyone, the manager made it worse! The correct way to handle a problem like this is "I'm so sorry this happened! Let me make it right. :)" Not, "Don't attack ME! It's not my fault!" That's very poor management. We did finish the movie - which was AWESOME, btw! But afterwards I was stewing. I thought we were owed something, if only an apology. My fiancé went up to the manager to ask about comp tickets. Instead of an apology she AGAIN went on about how she felt "attacked." She was reluctant but he did finally get three inconvenience tickets - but no apology. read more

My family and friends (totaling 5 adults) decided to see a sequel to the movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" on Saturday,05/13/17 during the 7:00 PM showing. Unfortunately, our first experience to this Theatre wasn't all that pleasant. Upon arriving through the doors to Norwalk, Ohio's UEC Theatre, only 1 employee stood behind the large length of counter lined with cash registers (and unmanned) to assist all the customers waiting in line to purchase a ticket. While other employees wondered in and out of the door behind the counter. I did appreciate the concept of choosing the seat prior to entering the theatre room. Once inside room#5 it did feel a bit warm, but I was taken back by how comfortable the recline chairs were while watching the movie. During the movie my wife made a comment about the heat and as for myself I was sweating towards the end of the movie. I told my friends to wait while I make mention to the manager concerning the heat needing turned down before for the next group of customers waiting to see this movie. Ironically, the same employee was still alone behind the counter selling tickets. I asked to see the manager and was told she could not be located. It struck me with relief that my complaint wasn't of any great life threatening situation. My family and friends waited in the lobby to speak with the manager. After 10 minutes had past the Manager arrives through the front door with an employee. We then spoke with the Manager concerning the heat in room #5 and was informed no one came to her while the movie was in session to have the heat turned down. The manager did state someone in theater room #4 made a complaint but not in theatre #5. I told her she needed to check it out prior to the next group waiting to see the same movie. With no apology she removed the key strap from around her neck and walked away towards room#5. UEC please know customers come to see a movie for entertainment and not to become UEC personal room temperature control monitor. For this high end cost at $9.25 per ticket, I'm confident UEC can afford thermostats for each room without inconvenience the customer right to view the entire movie without interruption. read more

1), I think the screens are smaller than other theaters, 2) the brightness or illumination of the screen seemed dull, 3) last 3 times I patronized the bathrooms STUNK and were dirty. 4) seems the entire theater has an unpleasant odor, I really tried to patronize this 'little guy' place, but why should I do more work to go there than they do to clean the place? I now go to Sandusky or Regal up at Cobblestone. read more
