I booked for my friend's bachelorette party and I am beyond thankful I found them. The original bar we went to wasn't what we expected. I was so stressed because I wanted the bride to be happy. Since Racquel and DaMante are so amazing and attentive, they checked on us and offered to take us to other spots in town. Since they had connections, we were able to go to all the best spots! At one bar, DaMante took over the entire place and became the DJ and hype man. It was like a movie. He made the place come alive and we would have had a boring night without them. Above and beyond would be an understatement. They were also so caring and patient looking after 20+ women having a good time! The vibes and service were immaculate and I will forever cherish this experience and how happy it made my friend. Everyone couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had all thanks to Racquel and DaMante. Incredible humans and business. Also, Racquel is a fantastic owner. Excellent and timely communication and so warm and kind. I could not recommend booking with them enough. All I expected was transportation, lights and some good music to our destination. Little did I know they were the entire party! Thank you so much Racquel and DaMante!!!

Derek (co owner) is sure to make you comfortable and give you some history of this quirky location. The bar is just one of the attractions. There is An Old Curiosity Shop next door where everything is for sale. (Can't find a price on it, just ask). Thinking Green, everything in the building has been repurposed. Going a little further into the building you will find all kinds of "one of a kind" pieces at Mantiques. Available too is A large patio space ideal for enjoying the sunset or some late-afternoon shade while enjoying a cocktail. Live music is provided ( See Schedule) as well as Trivia Thursdays. The location has a cool, eclectic vibe thanks to the owners' creative touch; they specialize in refurbishing materials into one-of-a-kind furniture and decor. What's really cool is that most everything is for sale, so you can literally eat, drink, and shop. The drinks are solid, and reasonably priced. While the food menu is limited, we have enjoyed everything we tried. Outside there is a piano on the patio and live music often fills the air. Overall it is a great hangout that will surround you with creativity.

In April I contacted The Winerie about a Christmas Party on Dec. 5th 2025, at that time I spoke with the Manager who was let go before our party. We received all the menues and contracts. We signed the contract and made the deposit. In October we never heard from anyone to finalize the menu so I reached out to the said Manager and I was told she no longer works there and gave me the "new" managers number. I called and sent numerous texts with no response. We finally called Winerie and spoke with a bartender who stated she would have someone call me back. I did get a text that said when is the best time to call you, I told her anytime before 2:30. A few days later she called back we touched base on what we had planned, she asked if we signed a contract and made a deposit as she has no record of us booking. From that point on I no longer had phone conversations with anyone everything had to be done via text. When I asked if someone could call she stated no she is very busy as she wears many hats. Fast forward to the time of our party!! UGH they had 5 tables reserved with a white tablecloth on them thats it no salt/pepper no water nothing. Okay fine we can overlook that. The food was finally served and they put out a tossed salad that was big enough for 1 person, when we went to ask for more they stated sorry we have no more lettuce in the whole place. We were supposed to get rolls and butter nope they didn't have those either. When we went to the bar for beer they ran out of that as well we had to change what we drank. The roasted carrots where hard the potatoes where spungy. The chicken was DRY as the saraha desert. The lasagna was very good. We ran out of food!!! We had to go to the bar and ask if they had any more they said oh yes we will get someone to bring more. They brought our more lasagna and some cabbage that they called a salad but never brought out any chicken. We had to ask for salt and pepper, and more plates. No one cleaned off the tables after dinner we had to bus our own tables and put them on an empty table. One of our guests bit into a bite of chicken and pulled out a 3" piece of dark hair that had food attached to it. The desert constisted of cheesecakes from Sams Club. No one came to check on us at all during the evening, we had to go ask where we were set up, and had to ask when food was going to be served. When we went up to pay they did take money off the bill because we complained but then turned around and charged us a 20% gratuity. Why, why didn't we get to say what we wanted to pay because we had no service other than the bartenders getting the drinks. I do not recommend this facility RUN!!! A Legendary Huron Resort, Reimagined!…read more Back in my hometown of Huron, OH, Sawmill Creek has always had a special place in my heart. Years ago, it was a rustic, independent resort--and then Cedar Point stepped in with a brilliant move to breathe new life into it. What a transformation! The resort now shines with three key highlights: a beautifully renovated 18-hole golf course, a cozy and upgraded lodge-style hotel, and a refreshed wilderness-themed restaurant, now known as The Miller's Table. (Longtime locals may remember it as The Salmon Run Restaurant, complete with Bass Pro Shop vibes and stunning wildlife art from Richard Parkinson.) We visited over Easter weekend and had an amazing family experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole property was immaculate. I had a local Ohio Blonde Ale paired with a bolognese that melted in my mouth--a truly memorable meal at The Miller's Table. The atmosphere still captures that rustic charm, but everything feels fresh and modern. From the gift shop full of local treasures to the quiet natural surroundings and top-notch golf, this resort is a gem. Whether you're visiting family in the area or just want a peaceful day on the links, Sawmill Creek is absolutely worth the trip. It's a catch you won't regret.

We spent 2 nights on a weekend at the resort. We booked the…read morebunk room which had 2 bunks and a king sized bed at the room/waterpark only rate in late February 2026. The good: Waterpark and room were clean. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Kids really enjoyed themselves (10 and 14). There are lots of restaurant options within 3-5 miles to fit any budget. The majority of lifeguards took their jobs seriously and enforced rules. It was less expensive than other indoor waterparks. Room fridge was great for storing snacks and drinks. Nearly everywhere in the hotel is crazy loud, but, the craft room was a great place to take a sensory break and slow down for a bit. The area by the aquarium on the third floor was also quieter often. There was a seating area for reading and tables available for boardgames with a view of the bay. The bad: We waited in line at 4:15 pm for a half an hour to just check in. They had a line of people filling the entire lobby with 4 staff checking people in. It was not streamlined at all. The changing room did not have a curtain or door on it. Nor did the bunk room. The only place to change privately was the small room off the bathroom with toilet and shower. Walls are paper thin. You will hear everything going on in the hall and the rooms around yours. We also happened to be right off the elevator bank which added a whole new level of noise. Elevators are slow and tiny. With luggage, you can fit 3-4 people tops. We chose the stairs almost every time despite our room being located on the 3rd floor right next to the elevators. That said, the stairwells are super loud as it's all metal and cement/concrete. Large attractions do close. The wave pool was closed half the day Saturday which was our kids favorite thing. You need a special card for any arcade, bowling, or golfing you do and that's an extra $3 charge plus what you load onto it. They have cute character "room doors" throughout the hallways. These are often right next to a room door and kids will push the buttons to make them talk all day/night. So many of the areas were unnecessarily loud. You couldn't hear anyone speak in the arcade or waterpark. Stairwells were like banging on metal drums while they echoed between 4 floors. The ugly: Their mini golf (albeit it glow course) is highway robbery. $10 per person (despite being told it was $6 by staff) and only 8 holes. The 9th hole was just putting your ball up a ramp into their skee-ball cup. If you mad it a fun sound went off, if you didn't, it collected it and played a failed sound. Our "bay view" window was COVERED in bird poop and cobwebs on the exterior side. The entire side of the building was filthy to look at. I would not suggest paying extra for the view. This might have been a one off experience in the activity pool but the one time we tried it, I had teenagers tackling me from behind as they fought over basketballs. I was pushed over multiple times by them when they crashed into me (and others in the pool) and nothing was done about it by parents or lifeguards. My kiddo and I eventually left because the ball he and another younger kid were playing with kept getting takin by the teens. Overall, it was a cheaper room option than other places but I'm not sure we'll be going back again. The extra fees for everything else adds up quick and sleep was nearly impossible with the noise level around our room.

The biggest issue was that you MUST wear a life jacket if you are under 56 inches. (4ft 8in), that's even if a parent is with you and the max depth of the pool is 4 feet. Within 10 minutes my kids who are 6 and 7 were bored and disappointed. We booked for 2 nights and left after 1 and went to a neighboring similar business for a night and had a lot more fun. Just not for us.
