The wine was very good which was a nice surprise as we did not have high expectations for local wine.

My Mr did some research on some dog friendly places and he found D & D Smith Winery. Mixed reviews but we had a feeling that it was laid back so we took a chance. He called before we headed out ( he had a couple of questions) and the owner Danielle answered and was very down to earth. We got there and the patio was shaded with picnic tables. I was very impressed with the selections of wine they had to offer. Many drys and some sweets. So we decided to get a flight: 6 for $5.00 $1.00 each for additional tastings Pinot Grigio Sauvignon Blanc Riesling Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Sangiovese Crooked House (red blend) Cabernet Franc Port Blue (port wine made from blueberries) My fave was the Cab Franc and Sauvignon that I had to get two bottles to take home. $14.00 a bottle. We didn't want to leave just yet so we decided to get a glass a piece for $5.00. I got the Sangiovese and my Mr got the Crooked House red blend. We thought about it and got another bottle to take home of the Port Blue as a dessert wine. All were so good! Besides wine this place has a lot to offer. They serve Appetizers, Meals, Soups, Pizza, Salads, Desserts, Beer, Mixed Drinks, Hard Coder, Non Alcohol Beverages (coke, sprite, Diet Coke, water, hot chocolate, tea and sparkling grape juice. The experience was great and I am so glad that we payed them a visit. I left happy and wine to take home back to Cincy.

I did have a taste of the watermelon wine. It does indeed taste like a jolly rancher. I thought that wine was delicious. But I am a sweet wine kinda person. Food smelled good and people were ordering it. We just weren't interested at the time. Next time I'll try food. Place was steady crowded and people were having a good time. So something needs to be said about that. I'd go back and try other wine and food. It's worth a 2nd chance. I just won't get the moscato.

Great atmosphere and scenic location, but that's about all I can say positive…read more Very limited wine selection, I like reds, they offered 2. One sweet, which I don't care for sweet wines, the second, which I chose was lacking flavor. No body to the wine. Very disappointing. My wife tried 2 whites, she didn't care for either. They did not have a chardonnay or anything close. The traditional cheese tray was obviously pre- cubed cheeses, some plain soda crackers and a half a peach. I asked about getting a half order or the "gourmet " cheese tray but the server said they don't offer it because everything is pre-proportioned, which leads me to believe it's from Costco or the like. All in all pretty disappointing. Ww love stopping at wineries but unless friends want to go, ill avoid this one. We have frequented the orchard store for decades but even that has gotten so expensive we have cut back.

With a vineyard, fruit tree orchard, full kitchen, gift shop and the most excellent donut truck, this place rocks! The main attraction is a beautifully decorated chalet. Did a flight of every wine they had. Ended up loving three of them, including the Chardonnay, Bourbon Barrel Aged Apple wine, and the Pinnacle Rrd. Got a bottle of Chardonnay for the table and took the other two home. Service was crazy good. Brooke was attentive, quick, and had the nicest smile you've ever seen. She should be on the silver screen! Super friendly, the manager, I think her name was Emily, sat down at our table and exquisitely described each wine while we sampled the precious nectars. The owner also stopped by and explained how he's the third generation of Scottish immigrants growing up on the land we sit on, where his great great grandfather planted the pear trees still producing fruit today. Seeing that this was Mother's Day, they went over the top with a free bouquet of flowers for the moms in our family. Tried the donuts and thought I was going to heaven. Can't wait to stumble across this place again!

The whole location was super whimsy and adorable! As for the food, it was amazing!!! We ordered the charcuterie board as an appetizer, which was gone in minutes. The poke bowl was my friend's, and she said she enjoyed it and said it was similar to decomposed sushi. I got the lemon ricotta ravioli and it was DIVINE. Generally, I'm not a big cheese person, but I loved this. I ordered it without the ricotta topping, but it was still delicious! Very rich and comforting. All in all, delicious and definitely worth checking out if you're in the market for a charming but fancy dining experience.

There were 8 of us. And 1 was a 2 yr old. The good. They have a good amount of choices to drink. Their wine, guest wine, and a full bar. So lots of choices. We tried the summer blush. It has strawberries and peaches. It was good. I enjoyed it. We bought a bottle for $25. Orders lunch. I got the Korean cauliflower appetizer. It was pretty small. Giant piece of leaf lettuce in it. And the ranch dressing was also inside of it. Not a ton of the cauliflower. Kinda disappointing to be honest. I ate it. I liked it. But not sure how it is supposed to be shared by a table with not a lot of food. Disappointing. My partner got the portobello sandwich. She said it was very sloppy and just OK. So food is kinda pricey and not really worth it. This is a nice winery. Plenty of choices to drink. Lots of space inside and outside to sit and drink and hang out. Wine is OK. Food in my opinion is pricey and not as good as it should be for the price. Staff was nice. Plenty of parking. This almost feels too touristy and just a money grab. Just my opinion. Probably skip next time I'm in the area. Try something else.

They only have a few sweet wines the sweetest being the red dolce. It's fruity and sweet. We like it. They have semi sweet and dry as well. They have a porch/patio and inside are some chairs and tables. They also have a loft area. That's where we went. The place was hoping around 1p on a Sunday when we went. A book club was there and several couples. They also had a coffee tasting from a local grower. The smell of fresh coffee was very overwhelming so we had to try. The service is good. Staff is nice. Prices about average. They have some food and you can bring your own. The issue and unfortunately there was one, was that there were thousands of fruit flies invading the place. I guess they crushed grapes for harvest and the fruit flies are a thing that happens. It was very annoying and obnoxious. Wine, food, and you had to be covered because the flies were on every surface. It was rainy so no outdoor escape on the patio. There are ways to control the flies. Use that blue light to attract them or something. If you want people to sit and drink. Make it easy. Flies are not making it easy. We will go back. But I'll call to make sure flies are gone.
