Their sandwiches are absolutely delicious every single time - fresh, generously made, and packed with flavor. What really sets Mike's apart is the consistency. The sandwich makers are true experts who know how to build the perfect sandwich. Whether you're craving turkey, pastrami, roast beef or one of their specialty creations, everything is made with care and high quality ingredients. They also have every side you could want to go with your sandwich, making it easy to turn a quick lunch into a satisfying meal. The deli is always spotless, which says a lot about how much pride they take in their business, and the staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and efficient. After all these years, Mike's Deli is still one of my favorite places for an amazing sandwich. If you're looking for one of the best deli sandwiches in Los Angeles, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

An extensive menu of sandwiches and hot food bowls makes it difficult to make a quick decision. Four of us and each has a different taste, including a preference for Vegan fare. The lovely missus already saw the Philly Cheese Steak which is neither an Orleans nor a York namesake....but she says it was warm melty and meaty sandwich second to none. My order was easy. I like chicken salad and it comes in a nice 10" bun with the toppings that are a must; tomato slices and shredded lettuce. The chicken salad Hero Special was a winning combination. The Vegan Shrimp Creole Bowl looked amazing. Pair that with another Vegan Chili Bowl and you've got outstanding flavors going to the palate. Real Shrimp is the main ingredient for a heavy bowl of Shrimp and Grits that brings you back to the Orleans side of the vast Orleans & York Deli Menu. All orders are prepared by a Lady Chef that invited us back for more of her culinary artistry. She began the chore of cleaning and putting stuff away as it was just about closing time... if you look outside you'll see the setting sun indicating the end of the day for Orleans & York Deli. We pack up some leftovers and are on our way. We will not hesitate to return for more.

Everything inside feels like a tribute to firefighters and firehouses. I love it! But most importantly the sandwiches are delicious. I had The Engineer: Smoked turkey breast, melted provolone & savory mushrooms w/ lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo & deli mustard. It came on a toasted bun and packed with so much flavor it had me licking my fingers! And a very good dill pickle spear came on the side. Something else they have that i love is one of those soda machines that makes dozens of different sodas! I love a red Fanta :) Back to the inside the shop is very clean with ample seating. No outdoor seating but the parking lot is well lit and also very clean. The staff was friendly and as I said made me an excellent sandwich :) I cant wait to come back!!!

I got the mushroom turkey and i ordered the beef brisket for my daughter. She loved her sandwich and I adored mine. It was flavorful and huge. I struggled to finish my first half. I had to eat my second half the next day. The large sandwiches are around 20 dollars and the cuts of meat are thick and inviting. The guy at the register was very patient and kind to me. I tweaked my sandwich a little and they definitely delivered. Again, portions are humongous and 20 for 2 servings is a nice price. I will definitely be back.

Sunday chop Salad: 10/10, I love the shredded lettuce, lightly dressed but packed with flavor from salami and green olives. Beet and citrus salad: 9/10, a tumble of beets and blood orange atop creamy labneh (somewhere Greek yogurt between sour cream), contrasts of sweet savory and creamy with a little pistachio crunch Meatballs: 10/10, just a side of meatballs, $8, but seriously some of the best meatballs I've ever had: so tender! And the sauce had the right balance of bright tomato tang and sweetness. As close to perfect meatballs as I can recall having anywhere. Crab Mafalda pasta: 10/10: crabby slithery and oily in the best ways. Rich and satisfying. Ragu with rigatoni: 8/10; I found the rigatoni a little too al dente, and while everything melded together in a rich and satisfying way it felt slightly under seasoned or lacking a flavor pop compared to the meatballs and other dishes. It was good but some of the other dishes blew me away and this one was just pleasant. Affogato for dessert: 9.5/10: good strong coffee, creamy ice cream, very enjoyable. The place is small, charming and eclectic, bumping hip hop music. They have a nice selection of wines (a couple of Chenin Blanc, which is nice to see). Service was fast and friendly. With food, drinks tax and tip, about $177 for a nice lunch. I'll definitely be coming back for a few of those dishes.

The Ragu, Bolognese, A La Vodka, and Meatballs are all fantastic. The pasta is absolutely perfect (rigatoni is probably my favorite of the 3). The Cesar salad, however, is a little too salty with the cheese and breadcrumbs. So, if they could put that on the side and let us add how much we want, it would also be perfect. Their Cesar dressing is probably the best I've ever had. I called a couple of times after ordering, and their customer service was great. Accommodating and friendly. This place is definitely in rotation now.

This location on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown is the smallest of the three I've visited, with under 10 seats available. It's a compact shop, and most customers opt for takeout. It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich. This experience was truly a positive one for our family. I would definitely return to AAV for the excellent food and service. My son suggested we stop at Ghost Sando Shop before I dropped him and his fiancée off. Great idea. One thing I really like on a sando is shredduce. It just makes a sandwich taste better. Not sure why. Ghost got it right. It wasn't busy shortly after opening on a Sunday, which was nice. I love the vegetable mix with it that included roasted peppers, pepperoncini but the Melrose spread was a tad bit much where it just oozed off the sandwich paper wrap. The sauce was good but a tad bit excessive. The staff was very nice but the food took longer than expected. Maybe that's because of them making it fresh but it seemed a tad bit longer than I expected for a non busy time I went (11am). Atmosphere is just your "fast" casual with outdoor seating which be nice when it doesn't become too cold or hot weather wise.
