Kids meal - two chicken strip w fries and a drink @ The Burger Palace in LA.
Sam R.

Saturday, 10/07/2023 - great grab and go. "The Burger Palace". Customer service was great. They were very nice. Now food... food was superb! The double Bacon Cheese burger was huge! Sharable with us. Burger was great! Chili Cheese fries were delicious. Chicken salad was good. I couldn't finish it. It was alot for me. Good for a 2nd meal the next day. Kids 2 Chicken strip and fries were good. We liked the food here and customer service. Great place for a grab and go. Well worth it.

Vanilla shake

I must say this was great! I ordered a club sandwich and the combo came with fries and a drink. Loved it! Portions are quite generous. I was only able to eat half the sandwich and fries. The fries are perfectly seasoned. We also ordered a chicken quesadilla. Again, and the seasoning is on point. Ordered a side of chili cheese fries and a vanilla shake, and it's not fancy but they sure are good! Service was quick and very friendly! Any time staff welcomes me with a smile and is happy to recommend some of their favorites, I love, and will likely visit that place again. Also i don't know how many people dislike when they order any type of sandwich and it's smothered with a ton of mayo. Makes me almost not want to eat it. This place shocked me completely when I realized how I didn't have to take any mayo off my sandwich. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the dining area though it was clean, is not very attractive and the booths were a little too high for me. I am short in height and I don't feel good when I sit and my feet are dangling. And it just felt almost vacant. I noticed most people either took their food to go or ate in their car. I don't like eating in my car.

Carne asada fries

A little sketch but the carne asada fries were pretty good. Also bad a burger the bun wasn't toasted but it was charbroiled and a good size. The service was really fast.

Decent at best but there is much better in the area The price is a little higher than better places nearby (primo burger, great burger, etc...) The pastrami was a little dry and there was not very much. The cheese was the cheap Kraft style American cheese. The burger was juicy and tender but all together it was very mediocre. The cheese fries were topped with the same cheap American cheese but it was a good portion (should be for $6!!!!) ***Covid-19 update*** No problem with the employees but the people in the line were not wearing masks or adhering to distancing. I felt like someone was breathing down my neck the whole time I waited

What happened? I ordered steak and eggs no but I didn't get no steak

The order keyosk wasn't working, so I ordered with the worker. The burger is not cheap, a single is already nearly $10. Fries are very salted/seasoned, burger (with all the added produce) tasted great. I don't think smash burgers are necessary better than regular burgers, but this place definitely makes a great smash.

This is my 8th LA smash burger and it's definitely a top three contender! The ratios were on point. The lemon pepper fries were killer. GREAT home made pickles on the burger to offset the rich patty and cheese. The service was TOP tier. Took a little longer than most, but tasted better than most! So pick your poison! Great outdoor seating in a bar next door with its own brewery. They have a deal going so you can use that place. Sat in a cool outdoor patio area with fake grass and a nice fence. Nice shade. Parking: Street parking was super easy on a Sunday afternoon, I was able to pull up right in front and park on the street. There is a Super A across the street and ample parking around for free. Ambiance & Food: This reminds me of an old school burger stand. Those were the best burgers and this one did not stop that trend. As I walked up, we were warmly greeted and given a quick rundown of what which burger. They did have specials (I will get to that in a second) which we were intrigued, but for the sake of perspective, I ordered the Goldburger and both regular fries and curly fries with a bottle coke. The Goldburger is naturally a double, but my gymrat protein brain added that extra patty. They use a 70% to 30% mixture for their burger which makes the burger oh so decadent. The picture I took doesn't do it justice. The moment you bite into the burger the combination of burger juice, aioli, burnt skirt, all come together in such a harmonious fashion. It was remarkable. Though fries are not one of my strong points, both fries were crispy and I haven't had any other experience with Curly fries other than Jack in the Box, but these were so much better. I went ahead and dipped the fries in some homemade Aioli and dang, what a combo! Back to those specials, the current special is CHILI, I was intrigued so they gave me a small container of it to try. Man, if I wasn't watching my caloric intake, that would have been the move. It was rich and chunky and not to soggy which some always comes. Give it a try as they said it will be around for sometime. Other than burgers, they do have hot dogs as well. So worth trying both next time. To be perfectly honest, this brought back so much nostalgia for me, I used to go to school in the area and this brought a lot of those memories back. Tasty burgers and a must try for sure if your around! Cheers!

I ordered the signature Goldburger and decided to add pastrami! Look at that! It's sliced thin and comes across kind of like a mound of bacon, melts in your mouth along with the rest of the burger. Very interesting combination it comes highly recommended! We went with curly fries cuz we are from the Midwest and there are no Arby's out here lol but I opted to grab a side of their classic sauce, which ROCKS! It was so good I was pouring it on the last few bites of my burger. Do yourself a favor and get some classic sauce and pour that stuff right on your burger, you won't be disappointed! Check it out!!

Taking place in the same plaza as Howlin Rays and Lasita in Chinatown, you could certainly tell how busy it was in holiday and weekend. The line has constantly been long and despite there's online pre-order option, it's intermittently off and the price's marked-up. We took prolly good 30mins in the line but once the first bite of their DH Burger hit, it felt totally worth the wait. The medium rare dry aged patty was so juicy that you could even see as you sliced through it. Cooked medium rare certainly nailed it. That sesame bun people have been raving about was indeed so good being crispy and buttery; and their housemade Amboy sauce was just succulent! Made it even better, go for extra bacon for sure and get their fries on the side.

Well, LA is blessed with exceptional burgers and this one is in the conversation. DH: First, you pick the style of the burger. I got the DH, a hefty 10-ounce dry aged beef patty - medium rare. Next, you select the accompaniments. With the Amboy, there are caramelized onions, American cheese, sliced pickles, Amboy sauce, and a toasted sesame bun. The beef patty is thick and plump, extra crispy on the edge (maybe slightly too much so). It is a bit too salty on the outside, while needing a bit more seasoning inside. It's medium on the edges, but nice pink and juicy in the center. Also, 10 ounces is huge, you're probably better off with one of the smaller patties or going with a double. The fries are tin and really crispy. They're nice, get them.

If you are wanting a better tasting burger with pretty much thr same ingredients, I would suggest The Shack in Playa Del Rey. The fries here got soggy because of how they put them in the bag. It's unfortunate that there is no where to sit and that's why the fries get soggy. Let's now talk about the process. They accidentally messed my order by missing fries. Not the end of the world but in order for them to correct their mistake, I had to take all the food they put in the bag and give it back to them. That means while I waited over 25 minutes for my order, I had to wait longer for them to see what's in the bag to see the mistake. Who is to say that if I was crooked, I would simply remove the fries from the bag. What this ultimately means is that now my family is eating colder food. I didn't even bother for the fries anymore since I didn't want to either have my food get colder or wait another 20 minutes for them to remake all the food. I simply wouldn't go back. I do hope they stay around because we are losing small business but the owners should really reconsider the policy for missing food.
