The tenders had a soft interior with a very crispy, smoky and vibrant outer surface. One of the tastiest Nashville hot chicken we've had. The spiced potato wedges were wonderfully seasoned, and they were crispy as well. Menu: The menu looks simple with the tenders being the main items. They can be made into a sandwich, taco or on a salad. They also serve wings, loaded fries, and French toast. Service: Although the tenders took some time, the orders were delayed by about 20-25 minutes because of insufficient staff for on a holiday. Given this hot and humid day, with the air conditioning broken and the outside fan not operational, the overall experience proved was just average. Great chicken tenders spot with a Thursday $2 deal that can't be beat! First the negatives. The location is a little tough because it's DTLA so parking can be a challenge - metered street parking or paid lots. It gets busy and there isn't a ton of room or seating inside and outside isn't the most pleasant. The orders can take a little long. A lot of them are to go orders. Now the positives. If you work nearby, it's a great lunch spot. The tenders are large. 2 would be enough if you're being good on portions. The crunchy batter is fried to perfection. For heat level, i liked the mild the best. It had the best flavor with a touch of spice. I also tried the medium and while it was hotter, it did have any added flavor in fact i felt it took away from the flavor. I like the potato wedges as well and the fried cheese curds were just ok. My friend pointed out that this place had $2 chicken tenders on Thursdays, so we decided to go and try a bunch of them. I also brought four pieces back to my mom because she wanted to try them too and she absolutely loved the medium flavor. She said it was so good and asked for six the next time I go, so I gave her my additional 3 pieces that I was going to eat tomorrow. I think realistically though, this is a good place to go to get 2 pieces and a sauce for $4.50 (the sauces are 50 cents each). I'm not sure how my mom is able to just keep eating these, but the flavor gets a little repetitive after the second piece and it becomes difficult to eat a third. If you feel that way too after trying these, maybe the one without any seasoning could work for you. As far as the chicken tenders go, they are juicy and succulent on the inside, so chances are, they are probably brined. The crispiness is nice too and you get a good crunch with each bite. However, the seasoning choice is a little unusual in my opinion. While it is a flavorful blend, it doesn't have that perfect blend that makes you want to keep eating more and more and more, which you can find at similar places. The service for the food is quick and the ambiance is cool and chill, but you don't find too many people dining in at this location, probably due to the challenges of parking in downtown la. I've only gotten this delivered, and it didn't disappoint! The chicken is nice and juicy and I love that the skin/seasoning stays on as you break apart the tender. I personally prefer their chicken over the shrimp. I got mild and it still had plenty of spice but didn't burn my tongue or make me sweat. The red seasoning on its own is good but I was wanting something more from the flavor... like maybe some lime or honey... So bringing on that honey butter was genius! It's not that hard breading that tears up the roof of your mouth. The chicken is fresh and very tender not dry at all. The heat was not hot to me at all so I guess I will have to get the hottest next time I order from here because I like very spicy food. Looks like they had a bunch of online to go orders coming through. The biggest standout about the chicken here is the crunchiness. Look at the texture of the chicken! It's top notch. Some may argue that it might be too hard though. I managed to bend/break my plastic fork trying to pick up a tender. Spic level is on the lower side. Of you had Hownlin Rays hot, this hot is 2 steps lower. The biggest down side to this is the center pieces were dense and little more dry, but not to the point where it was not edible. I thought about the Howlin Rays tendered while eating this and wished there was a combo where the tenders are super crispy but also juicy on the inside. Please get on this!
