Frustrated, I turned to Yelp again for help. I was hesitant on using the original roofing company from 3 years ago for this repair because I had some thoughts that they may not have done a good job during that first repair. Four Peaks Roofing was fast to answer in my time of need and I was able to get someone to come check out my issue same day. Jorge ended up coming out and I relayed my concerns to him. I couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous person than him. When he was inside my home, without anyone prompting him, he took off his shoes while walking around. My family and I have a "no shoes while inside the house" rule but I never ask any outside vendors to abide by it for their convenience and safety. He was the first outside vendor to do this (again, without anyone asking him to!) and I really needed to highlight this as this was exceptional and beyond thoughtful. After Jorge was done inside, he went back outside and got onto my roof to start inspecting. He took his time and came down with pictures to show Hubby and I when he was done. He eased my concerns and said that the sealing from 3 years ago deteriorated with time. The previous roofer did what needed to be done at the time and it's just the brutal summers that just destroys everything so quickly. Jorge encouraged me to get in contact with the previous roofer to see if I can work something out with them and continued to write up an estimate for us if we wanted to go with him. He went out of his way to look out for us and I wish there was more people like him out in the world. I did contact the previous roofer and ended going with them as they worked out something with me that I couldn't refuse. This inspector that came out also reiterated the same things Jorge went over so I was relieved that these 2 different individuals were in agreement on the same things. Even though I ended up not doing this project with Four Peaks Roofing, this exceptional experience will guarantee me coming back here for my next project.

So after looking around we came across L&R Roofing. We needed an inspection fast and the actual repair done even faster because the Arizona monsoon was about to be in full swing and we were incredibly stressed. Right off the bat during the inspection, Luis was so honest and told us we absolutely did not need an entire new roof and warned us not to let anyone try to sell us one. Nowadays it is so hard to find companies that truly want to help you rather than just make make a sale, so that was such a huge relief and let us know right away that he wasn't going to BS us. He also went above and beyond during that walk-through. Our home inspector had told us we only had one slipped tile, but when Luis got up there, he found a handful of them and just pushed them all back into place for us. Slipped tiles can cause such major issues down the road, so it was incredibly nice of him to do that. It made me feel so good that he was looking out for our whole roof and not just the one spot we asked him to inspect--honestly, he seemed way more aware of what was going on up there than our actual home inspector was! Since the mold was over a bathroom, he gave us a fair price to remove a section of the underlayment and check all the vents in that area, and we were super happy with that plan. Luis unfortunately had a family emergency come up, but he still made sure to coordinate everything with Victor, who managed to get us on the schedule the very day a big storm was supposed to hit. Victor and his crew showed up at 6 AM and were just so nice to work with. He explained the exact damage to us and took pictures of every single step of the process so we could see everything they were doing. It was such a massive weight off our shoulders when he confirmed he found some water damage but it could easily replace the wood and seal it up right then and there. I sold my home about three weeks ago and the professional inspector and two other highly reputable roofing companies came out and looked at my roof and said that they not only did not do the job correctly, but they left loose tiles on my roof and my roof would've flooded in a heavy monsoon. The roof so far looks good but I'm waiting for the rains. This company starts off strong but once they have your business that's when the lack of communication starts. They were billing my insurance so much that I had to sit and go over everything they had itemized. One was for skylights I don't even have. And when it came to the insurance, I felt like I was doing most the work having to be the go between and try to get their checks. This roof is probably one of the most expensive roofs after it was all said and done for being just shingles. I've not heard from the sales rep in probably 3 months but get a call from their manager the other day pretty much accusing me of not completely paying, when I try to arrange pick up of the remaining balance several times. The roofing crew left nails a debris all over my yard and I'm still cleaning up. My opinion, if you use them. Document everything. I did on this one and feel like it's really going to be important I did.

Estrella made it easy. The price was fair, they got us on the schedule quickly, and they showed up when they said they would. The crew kept the area clean and neat, were careful and respectful around the house, and they did excellent work.
