The sandwiches are always fresh and I like that they cut the meats right in front of you and they weight it so you know you're always getting the right portion. When you go to Miami and want to save your money for nights filled with liquor and fine dining, your mid-day meals need to be tasty and yet affordable. My boyfriend and I were staying at a hotel 2 blocks away from Premo and came across the market/cafe on our way to the beach. As a market, they have EVERYTHING you would need for a day at the beach (or if you rushed and forgot your necessities). You can also find great souvenirs here (despite the outrageous prices.) As a restaurant, it was alright. I ordered breakfast here (bacon, egg and cheese on a hero), which I did not particularly care for.(NOTE: I was expecting a NYC style bacon, egg and cheese in all its glory. Instead, I got a sandwich that looked like its contents had been thrown in the blender then into a microwave to cook..totally turned off) I did enjoy my cortadita Cuban coffee (despite the fact that it came in a cup the size of a shot glass and cost $2.00) My boyfriend enjoyed his many ham, egg ad cheese, as well as his pepperoni and cheese empanada. Yum! While staying overnight in Miami at the Intercontinental, we looked to Yelp to help us find something good to eat near our hotel. After blowing $135 for buffet breakfast for four in the hotel, we wanted something cheap for an early dinner so we decided to try Premo's Deli, which was about a four block walk. Service is fast and the quality of the ingredients is very good. However this is not the New York deli experience. Everything is freshly made with the cold cuts sliced at time of order and not pre-sliced. The difference is the volume of these ingredients. A New York deli piles their meats, cheeses and other stuff high on the bread. Here it is carefully measured to give you just enough for taste. I guess that is the Miami version. Been working downtown miami for over ten years and this deli is by far the best I have experienced,my personal fave is the Bronx melt with deli turkey,melted provolone cheese served on wheat bread with Russian dressing and Cole slaw right on top!! Delicious!!! There food is consistently good and well priced. The deliver is free which is amazing for this area and the service is friendly which is unheard of in this area. I order from the 2-3 times a week. If you are looking for soup, wrap or sandwich you will not be disappointed. The deliver has never taken more than 40 minutes and is sometimes as fast as 15 minutes. DON'T EAT/ORDER FROM HERE... The customer service sucks. 8/18/11 - The manager is NOT any better than his staff. Today I was put NOT on hold (they just put the phone on the side) 6 times for 10 mins. each time. When I called the 7th time she asked if she can put me on hold and I said no to which she reply "we take care of the customers that are here first and then the phone." I said "why do you p/u the phone?" and she hung up. Went there and the mgr was extremely rude. Said the same thing. I also told him that he has charged me 3 different times (for the same thing) different price and he said that it wasn't true. I offered to bring the receipts. He just looked away and continued what he was doing. I said, "I will make sure that ___________ company does not ever order/eat from here again." The food is good but the attitude is horrible.
