For me, that was iv insertion, heart leads attached, and a few questions to answer,everyone was so nice and kind. The next step was waiting room #2. A gentleman was pointing at me and gesturing for me to come in to the testing room. I was given some medication. Then, there was an awkward silence. When, I asked if anyone was still there? And, they explained that they had to wait for the medication to take effect. One of my suggestions would be to let the patient, who is hooked up to giant equipment, to know that in advance. The test itself was pretty quick once it started. Then, the process of getting unhooked from all of the medical equipment and I was on my way. Thanks to my son, Mike, who was waiting for me. Two years later, and we've gotten sent to collections every 6 months because billing made a mistake (said I got two MRI's when I only ever got the 1, that was PREPAID!). We're in a cycle of calling, having them realize the mistake, reverse it, think we're all set, and then 6 months later we get another notice for collections. It's getting exhausting at this point, when they admit fault, say things are getting fixed, and then don't get fixed.

Overall, the appointment wait time was great--I was in and out quickly and able to make it to work…read moreon time. However, after my appointment, I stepped up to the receptionist's counter to ask about the results timeline, obtaining a CD, and any follow-up steps I might need. One of the receptionists was quite rude. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name, and it's possible she was having a difficult morning, but the interaction left a negative impression. Because of that experience, I would prefer not to return to the Bethesda location. It was disappointing, especially since first impressions matter, and it made me concerned about how patients are treated throughout the day.

Afterward, I never received my X-ray results. I called and left a message, but no one ever returned my call. Despite my frustration, I chose not to leave a negative review at that time. Unfortunately, today I had another disappointing experience when I came with my husband for his appointment. We arrived 20 minutes before his scheduled appointment time. He had been instructed to drink a lot of water an hour before the appointment, so it was important for him to be seen on time. However, the technician was over 30 minutes late--even though it was Saturday and there was no traffic. I finally had to ask the front desk lady, who was very helpful and pleasant, to check in the back and see whether the technician had arrived. This is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Patients make arrangements, arrive early, and follow instructions to be on time. The same level of respect should be given to patients and their time. This is now the second time I have experienced a significant delay and poor communication at this facility.

From the receptionist (wish I knew her name, she wore glasses and had the cutest nails) to the ultrasonographer, Olga, it was such a positive experience. This was a stark contrast to my previous experience at a different company. If you've had this type of ultrasound done before then you know you have to drink a lot of water and hold it so it's very uncomfortable. Everyone I interacted with at this location was extremely kind but also made it a point to work efficiently to get me through the steps so that I could empty my bladder as soon as possible. Most recently, after not going for two years I was signed up - without permission - for automated appointments. I began receiving text notices and could not opt out or cancel by text. I called and requested that both the appointment and notices be cancelled weeks ago. Today, I received more unwanted text messages for an appointment I never made and requested to have cancelled. I had to call again and was hung up on. I plan to file a consumer complaint - I would not ever go here again.

I let the scheduler know that I was between primary care doctors (my previous doctor left her practice) and she said that was fine, but after sitting for half an hour in a packed waiting room I was told by the front desk that it's illegal for them to give me a mammogram if I don't have a primary care doc for them to send it to. I paid for a full body scan because I was not feeling right and my doctor could not find anything…read morespecific. The facility was comfortable, the attendants made the scan easy, and the doctor's explanations were understandable. Nothing unexpected stood out on the images. Unfortunately, about a month later I was diagnosed with cancer when my symptoms got worse. I did not have any expectations that this was the same as a diagnostic CT and my cancer was not a solid tumor type so I was not surprised nothing was found on the Virtual Physical. However, when deciding on whether to spend such a large amount of money, people should know that this type of scan won't catch certain physical problems.
