However, after my appointment, I stepped up to the receptionist's counter to ask about the results timeline, obtaining a CD, and any follow-up steps I might need. One of the receptionists was quite rude. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name, and it's possible she was having a difficult morning, but the interaction left a negative impression. Because of that experience, I would prefer not to return to the Bethesda location. It was disappointing, especially since first impressions matter, and it made me concerned about how patients are treated throughout the day.

I was scheduled for an appointment on June 10th at 7:20 PM. Despite receiving multiple phone and automated confirmations, I was informed upon my arrival--after a one-hour drive with a fractured elbow--that my pre-authorization had been approved for a different facility. This occurred even though your staff specifically stated on June 8th that the appointment would only be kept if the authorization was finalized by June 9th. Furthermore, the management's response to this error has been unacceptable. I was promised a follow-up call from the manager, Mary E. Johnson, on the morning of June 11th. When I called at 10:00 AM along with the CIGNA Customer service manager who was trying to help me to get approval on the fly and fax to the number of this center, she claimed to be too busy to speak. When I followed up again at 11:30 AM, she reiterated that she was with patients and abruptly hung up the phone without offering a resolution or a definitive time to talk. It is disappointing that my time and physical condition were not respected, and that no effort has been made to rectify a mistake caused by your office's oversight. I hope that this matter is reviewed by senior leadership and that appropriate action is taken to improve your scheduling and patient communication processes.If she is so busy, she could ask someone to call and schedule immediately or atleast by the time she promised rather than saying for hours she has been with patients.  I look forward to your response.     I had an excellent experience while getting an MRI at CRA. The staff is absolutely wonderful. CRA…read moredefinitely gets an A+ for customer service...at least in person. I did have a bit of trouble finding the right person to speak to on the phone. I'll say that the two women women working at the receptionist desk during my visit were extremely nice. Setting an appointment was a breeze, and CRA provides an option to complete all of your paperwork online before your visit. Checking in was also a breeze. Although I arrived about 20 minutes before my check in time (just as a just in case since I was a 1st time patient), they let me start my MRI a bit early, which was great. Just like the women at reception, the MRI team were super nice too. The facilities were quite clean and looked maintained. However, I was a little concerned that the warm water in the restroom was white even after running the water for a couple of minutes. CRA/medical park has a decent number of free parking spaces, which is becoming more rare these days, so that's one less thing to worry about. Actually, the parking situation is why I arrived earlier than my check in time, because it seems impossible to find free parking in this area. Fortunately, you will not have that problem at CRA.

    Everything about this went wrong. I tried to schedule an open, seated, upright MRI for my chubby…read morehusband, who is claustrophobic. Just trying to get someone to answer the phone was a chore, it took me two days. When someone did answer the phone I was told their system was down and they would get back to me. Five days later when I still hadn't heard from them, I called back and was told they didn't forget about me, they had a very long list of people to call back. They required me to give them a copious amount of information before scheduling the appointment. One of the first questions they asked was what insurance my husband would be using. After giving them a metric ton of information, scanning and emailing and faxing, as well as numerous phone calls we were told they could not help us because they did not take his insurance. Out of sheer desperation, I said fine, we will self pay, (knowing that I could not possibly afford that) and then I was told no you cannot self-pay because you have insurance. I truly have no words for that absolute inane customer service. I will give them one star because I have a great story to tell about ineptitude and the state of American healthcare.
