However, you might still want to get their really early, because the line is LONG getting in to get some blood work done. I got there at 7:30 AM. I was second in line. The next 30 minutes a lot of people showed up to have blood drawn. They were efficient. We scanned a QR-Code to determine our place in line. Someone would come out, announce that number and in you'd go. You let them know you're there at the desk. Then wait again for them to call that number you got earlier when you scanned the QR-Code with your phone. Once you get in to see someone to draw you blood (which is really soon), they're really quick to get the blood drawn. Then you're on your way. Very efficient, quick and friendly.

They had all new employees and after four pokes I left. I wished I could remember the name of the lovely lady who greeted me and took my Blood on the FIRST TRY. The whole time he was very short with me and did not care when I expressed how bad the phobia was. He was extremely unprofessional and told me "Well how can it really be, I do it to babies?" He didn't use the butterfly needle either. When he pulled out the needle I told him "okay wait, I'm not ready I'm not ready!" And he didn't care and stabbed me with the needle so hard. I started balling my eyes out and it ended up blowing out my vain! I've never had that happen. This behavior is unacceptable. I have never felt so violated by a professional like this. He should be fired!

I have sent quest two written complaints concerning the technician's behavior, but quest has not responded. They have sent me a bill. I am going to treat the bill the same way quest treated my complaint.

There were appointments later in the day that I first looked, but I chose one at a time that was more convenient to my schedule a few days out. On a Monday morning. Arrived to find plenty of parking and good signage (not everyone was paying attention to the clear and easy to see signs that explain everything, but they are there). There was an electronic check-in kiosk with one person in front of me. She was elderly (in her late 80s, checking in herself and her hubby who was in his mid 90s) and I had to help her with the sign-in, which I was pleased to be able to do (the machine itself was not terribly confusing, but it wasn't as straightforward as it might have been). I had arrived twenty minutes early and the machine would not let me check in yet. So I sat down (plenty of seating) and tried again in five minutes - it let me check in and I didn't even have time to sit back down before my number was called. A very pleasant clerk took my insurance and ID information and got me set up for my tests (two ordered by the doc: one to take away and one blood draw), then walked me back an introduced me to the phlebotomist. The phlebotomist was also very pleasant and she took care of the blood draw in a flash with no pain. She asked after prospective clotting issues and then told me when I should remove the bandage. And out the door I went - before my appointment time had even arrived. I usually use the Tricore over on Montgomery just E of the Target, but they're closed for a (renovation?) period. This Harper Tricore visit was a great experience - minus one star only because that check-in kiosk could be set up to be a little less confusing for older folks.
