Walking in here, I was immediately surprised by how small and intimate this venue is. There are a few places to sit here, but it is mostly standing room only. No matter where you are, you are likely no more than 15 feet from the stage. Just a heads up -- there is a slight step when you enter into the venue, so step up and/or over it. I tripped on the slight angled step of the door and slightly stumbled into the venue. There are a lot of local acts that perform here -- many that I am not aware of, and so that may have been what kept me from coming here in the past. I happened to come here for a national act, Ondara, of whom I was actually surprised to see performing in such a small venue. I would definitely come back here again for the right performer/band. The acoustics are wonderful.

After waiting 30 minutes for it, they decide to come out and tell me that they are out of bread pudding. It would've been beneficial to know that prior to paying, however, they did not even offer a refund. Instead, they told me they would give me a tiramisu instead. On day two, I placed an order for a salad with a chicken skewer upcharge. Upon getting my order and opening the container, I saw that the skewer was not in there despite being charged $10 for it. The other items here at the restaurant were not good, and I do not recommend this as they don't want to make good quality food. Lobster ravioli is pretty dry and tough to chew. Tiramisu is missing that earthy coffee flavor. Chicken caprese says that it comes with fresh mozzarella, however, they only gave us small circle of cheese on one side of the sandwich (covers about 1/4 of the sandwich). Do not get the truffle fries, they are the exact same taste as the normal fries. Last, the crab and shrimp dip is highly inconsistent. The first day, it was good and actually had pieces of shrimp. The second day, zero shrimp. In the end, this restaurant has several deficiencies that they do not seem willing to resolve.

It was easy to access and park, but I wish it wasn't quite as expensive as it is for weeknight parking (I think I ended up paying around $15 because it based on the amount of time you are there). When you arrive, there is a spot you line up to get seated in the performance space. I arrived about a half hour before the show and there were probably ten parties ahead of me. They did keep the line moving. I was unpleasantly surprised when I was brought to my seat. The tables were uncomfortably close together. Like the back of my chair was touching the person at the next table close. I understand they are a venue wanting to make money, but I would be more inclined to go back to a show if they took out one row of tables and allowed everyone just a little more space. The chairs had these little cushions on them but they slid around, so I'm not sure how much they added to the actual comfort. I was fairly close to the front, but without any platform or slanted floor, I imagine it could be difficult If you attend a show, there is a two item minimum per person. I suppose you could get a diet pepsi and some sort of appetizer, but the cheapest "small plate" is $18. My cheeseburger was $27 and when I asked for extra ketchup, I was charged an extra dollar for it. The glass of wine I ordered was $18. It was $65 if I wanted a bottle. But the same bottle was sold for around $40 if I were to buy it from the bottle shop. So with the two item policy, you are going to spend at least $20 minimum. If you want any "real" food it will be at least $40. I wish they had some options that weren't so overpriced. That being said, the waitstaff was courteous and efficient. They perfectly maneuvered around the tight tables and did their best to not block the view of the performance while visiting their tables. I did notice they tried to upsell. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but my burger came with regular fries but they asked "would you like regular fries, truffle fries, regular salad or Caesar salad" not stating that the truffle fries and Caesar salad were up charges. The table next to me complained about that when they got their check at the end of the night. I really loved the show I went to, but this isn't a venue that I'm eager to go back to.

I've been there several times and honestly, I love the place so much that I would regularly make the trek to walk there and back from my apartment in Bloomfield. It is famously known as Pittsburgh's "they-bar," and the second you step inside, you can feel how deeply intentional they are about creating a genuinely inclusive, welcoming space for the LGBTQ+ and trans community. The theme is delightfully nerdy and witchy, with cozy, magical decor that immediately makes you feel right at home. They have a massive roster of events--everything from drag shows and karaoke to incredibly chill craft nights--but even if you're just dropping in for a drink, they completely nail it. Their menu features an amazing selection of creative "potions" (cocktails) and just-as-complex "fauxtions" (mocktails) that respect sober and drinking folks equally. It's easily one of the most comforting, accepting, and fun spots in the city. The menu specials are adorable with different options, to include non-alcoholic drinks and snacks, let's not forget the candy bar! We had a few different drinks, I chose all of mine from the specialty menu, he chose some on tap draft and specialties. All super excellent. I had the lavender menace and the mermaid magic, along with a lavender lemonade. He had the pretty pretty princess and the archibald on tap. There's a store upstairs by the owner who was kind enough to let me shop during off shop hours. The shop is a combination of spiritual/witchy items and pride items. Wow I love this theatre and love getting to see performances here…read more Many of my friends are local actors which makes it even more fun coming to see plays and readings here. It's definitely a diy style theatre. Lobby has a refreshment stand and seating with a big comfy sofa. Treats are often available for donations. The performance room and stage are small but not too small. Feels cozy in a good way. This actually makes me feel like being in the audience is somehow part of the performance. I look forward to getting invited to events here. Cash only.
