Had a large birthday party on the first floor of this venue. The location, facility, staff, food were all fantastic! The view is unbelievable! HIGHLY recommend.

This is our second wedding at Veltre's. This time it was for our daughter. We visited many places for a winter wedding. (February) After our kids saw the venue, reviewed the plans with Courtney, and when they heard that the Veltre's chef would help us with our families dietary needs we were overly impressed! Since our families are blessed with many of our Grandparents, it was a relief for many family members to have the wedding and the reception in one venue. The whole process of getting things discussed and figured out was very stress-free. Courtney was very quick to answer any of our questions. Thank you Veltre's for helping us with a wonderful wedding brunch for our family! Everyone loved and admired the beautiful views, the flow of the ceremony and reception, and especially the food. They even let us bring in another vendor (Patti's Pasticceria) to come and serve their awesome cannoli as one of our dessert options. We can't wait to use this venue again in the near future!

Veltres Wedding & Event Center is a great place to have your next event!

As someone who spends half their life in crowded venues, Preserving Underground in New Kensington…read morehas easily become one of my favorite spots to catch a show. The setup is brilliant. It's built into an awesome old converted church complex, which gives it an immediate, distinct vibe the second you walk up. Before the bands even start, you can hit up their massive record shop on the main floor. I've caught myself crate-digging there more than once and always walk away with a solid haul of vinyl or CDs before heading downstairs. For a basement space, the sound quality is shockingly good--crisp, heavy, and doesn't just turn into a wall of muddy noise like most underground rooms. It's got that perfect, intimate DIY energy without sacrificing the audio. If you go to a lot of shows, this place needs to be on your radar.

I'm kind of surprised to see folks referring to this as the best venue in Pittsburgh. I did not…read morereceive that impression. I attended the Four Chord pre-show earlier this summer, featuring Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, 408, and some other performers. They didn't start the show on time and had us waiting outside. It was hot inside the venue too, which I didn't love. But the worst part about the experience was the sound. It was SO echoey. Maybe they were having an off night, but I was really regretting not having earplugs with me. The sets were good regardless, and it was nice that they had pew seating along the sides, but I wasn't otherwise super impressed with the venue itself.

The trail is great for beginners or if you just want a quick jog. There are several benches you can sit down on along the way, plus a tree stump in the woodsy part that you can also sit on to rest. It's a very well maintained trail that smells like freshly cut wood chips, and has a nice variety of terrain. I didn't see any dog poop (it's a no-dog park) and no litter at all, which the multiple trash cans around the loop definitely help with. While a good portion of the trail has the wood chips, some areas could use a bit more. After rain, a few spots can get muddy and it can get a little marshy in the grassy part where there is no trail. The outer loop is about 1.2 miles, and there are several spots where the trail branches off. There's a more "woody" section and a more "grassland" section, which keeps it interesting. It's also not hard to find parking at the church across the street. There's a lot of birds chirping and tons of squirrels and bunnies, and every once in a while you'll spot deer. Inside the barn fence there are lambs and sometimes horses, which is a nice touch. Also kind of cool is that there are wild chive plants around this trail which is common in the Pittsburgh area, and you'll find some growing in the park if you know what to look for.

The old house, and farm are really special, and I am so glad that the Upper St. Clair Historical Society maintains these buildings and property so we can occasionally get to visit and see how things used to be. Today they had all kinds of activities going on, from hayrides, petting zoo, sheep shearing, cow milking, yarn spinning, beekeeping, and of course tours of the historic house, barn and outbuildings, all of which are like a museum. This place was well worth the price of admission . . . FREE, but the suggested donation was $5 per person.

No freaking way will it get done in time especially when your contractors are not doing anything but smoking outside and taking up parking spaces. I was duped at check in! Please go elsewhere. There is no notice of renovations going on the hotel website. Plus this hotel operated without water. In other words fire hazard!!!. My first night was ok, place was noisy with all the work going on, contractors loud music playing all hours, hence no sleep. I endured 3 nights w/o water, one in which was off all night. The management gave guests a gallon of water and no apology. Yet told me that if I checked out early would be charged for the full week stay. Geesh. I'm in town for work and this is all you can do when all hotels are sold out due to the Little League World Series was going on the 13th thru the 24th. Corporate needs to retrain all staff and front desk management with a remedial course of what customer service is all about especially in pleasing your paying guests. All staff had a negative and condescending attitude to guests. No apology, no water. Horrible experience. I will not be staying here in the near future.

The stage is an outdoor covered pavilion type setting with a high roof and open ends on three of the four sides. The one side is concessions and includes food and alcohol sales. I attended my first concert there on August 8 and the facility and patrons did a very nice job of obeying all of Allegheny County's rules for masks and social distancing. It was so great to hear live music again. Look them up on Facebook to find their concert schedule, there will be weekly music on Thursdays. Restrooms are in a building outside. Only four people are allowed per table and the chairs are distanced 6 feet apart. All tables are distanced 6 feet apart & are pre-sanitized before events. Masks are required when walking around and no idle standing is allowed. You are supposed to wear your mask unless you're eating or drinking at your table. This is a really great venue in the summertime and I hope it keeps going! #SaveOurStages
