Yorkies of Houston offset all of my fears. Their animals live with them inside their home, and they partner with other in-home breeders who permit them to visit their houses to ensure proper care. Eirika answered any and all of my questions about her business and animal care promptly, and we discovered 3 healthy male puppies in her home who were happy and playful. I fell in love with one of the puppies who was most eager to play with us. She provided vet records, food, a care guide, a play pen, a carrier, a pet bed, a brush, wipes, and a two-way camera to us with our little boy. It was clear from all the information she shared and carefully repeated for us that she is invested in the health and well being of these puppies - even wiping off their little paws and faces with suitable wipes whenever they get dirty. She provided us with the weight of the parents but explained our puppy could grow up bigger or smaller. She described some of the health risks of overfeeding, explained some common Yorkie health problems (although our boy is 100% healthy, per my vet) and also sent us home with a special sugary gel in case he got too nervous to eat at first. Really, it did my heart good to see these animals so loved by their breeder. She takes great pride in her business, and I left so informed about our puppy and his needs! He's now registered under our names and settled nicely into our home. He's a delightful addition, and if we adopt again Yorkies of Houston will be at the top of our list.

Very nice breeder, he is a great guy from my experience with him. Very responsive and helpful…read more That being said, this dog has issues that I have never encountered as well as countless families close to my Basset and I. The amount of money this dog costs and the amount of issues it has physically and behaviorally is absurd. Permanent ligament damage due to deformed bones. Can't even take this dog on a walk without him collapsing, then can't walk for a day or two after. He been to two trainers, one of which is a hound dog trainer, and both apologized to me due to the fact that he couldn't grasp anything and was mentally "different" than the others and had physical limitations even as a puppy that aren't normal. He has three testicles and the most respected vet in town said "I have been doing this for 30 years and this is the most amazing perplexing dog I've ever seen, I'm so sorry". Even other Basset Hound owners in a club I am apart of have said I have been sold an overbred dog. Not sure if that's the case however I've been skeptical since seeing him and a two vets opinions. Not to mention seeing other bassets which showed me how the Basset I have is not normal or healthy. Again, the breeder was very kind and I'm sure others who have gotten his dogs have got very good and healthy Bassets, but I have not. He does not even look like those put in these reviews. This has been a very rough experience, this being my third puppy, very disappointed.

I am extremely disappointed with this stay-and-train program. It was by far the most expensive dog…read moretraining option I found, and unfortunately my dog came home with little to no improvement. Honestly, I could have taken him to a basic puppy class and gotten better results for a fraction of the cost. What makes this even more frustrating is that the program included follow-up support--specifically an in-home training session and an additional training session to ensure everything was going well. I never received either of those services. I called multiple times trying to schedule, and no one ever returned my calls. Additionally, when I came to pick my dog up, they had a shock collar for me, which they had me pay a additional $200.00 for, since I never heard from them again I don't really know how to use it effectively with my dog. I have done my own research, but this is HIGHLY unprofessional. That level of poor communication is unacceptable, especially given how much I paid. When I entrusted them with my dog, I was very clear about my situation. I shared that I have PTSD from my military service and work as a first responder, and that having a well-behaved dog is important for me to feel confident taking him out in public. I put a lot of trust in this program, and they completely let me down. This experience was not only a financial disappointment but also a personal one. It has been almost a year now and never once have they reached out to see how my dog is doing or see if his training is going well at home- or deliver on the promise they made. I would not recommend this program to anyone looking for reliable, effective dog training or even basic customer support.
