    Potato croquettes
    Zvonko N.

Here's the scoop: Dahlia Tapas Tequila & Wine is one of those places you almost want to keep to yourself... but it deserves the hype. Start with the potato croquettes -- phenomenal. Jamón Serrano and Manchego inside, perfectly crisp outside, with brava sauce and crema that make the dish. The sauce in particular is outstanding: rich, slightly spicy, and the kind you want to drag every last bite through. I sat at the bar and had a couple of cocktails by Michaela, an excellent mixologist and great conversationalist. The Guayalajara (Mezcal Unión, aperitivo, guava purée, lime, agave) was bright and beautifully balanced. La Madrina (El Silencio mezcal, Chartreuse, St. Germaine, agave, lemon juice, Burlesque bitters) was smoky, herbal, complex -- and strong enough that the mezcal's name almost hints at a blackout if you're not careful. The vibe is intimate, cozy, and effortlessly hip -- the kind of neighborhood place that feels like a great discovery. Pro tip: Dahlia Tapas will be featured on PBS's Check, Please! Arizona on April 23, 2026. The episode has already been taped, and PBS usually posts episodes online afterward. My advice: go now before the post-TV crowds catch on. Verdict: four flames hot.

This location is absolutely beautiful, and the perfect spot for a date night. It's intimate, cozy, and a little exotic. We ate outside, December evening, and all that's needed is a light jacket (legit, Ms. Congeniality fans). The staff was very polite and quick, and the menu offers different tapas, small to large. I would say they certainly are more on the small to medium, and small is definitely small, but full of flavor!! My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Barcelona and we always crave jamon iberico, and have yet to find anything close. Of course we're not going to get the same thing like Spain; however something close would be nice which is why we were so excited to try this spot. The jamon on the menu is a small small plate ($30) and it tastes like they lightly sear or soak in olive oil & salt. It was good, but not what we were hoping for. I think the charcuterie was well worth the value (price, flavor, and amount). Overall, glad I came here to try, and the quality was high, service, execution, and taste, it was just very pricey for small portion. Bang was a bit small for a high buck.

I love this place it's so cute and cozy with delicious food. We got the lamb chops, grilled shrimp, and rib eye. All were sooooo good. I love their chimichurri sauce for the steak. The roasted vegetables were also so tasty. My daughter loved it all too. Get their version of a crème Brûlée for dessert. It's sooo good. Service was great! I will be back.

This place is a hidden gem. This was my second time coming here. The bartender remembered me and brought me a cocktail on the house. Everything on their happy hour menu is delicious and well priced. The restaurant itself reminds me of someone's home. It's very charming and quaint.

We went for the Valentine's Day experience/menu. Had reservations for 7:15pm but they were behind on previous reservations so I think we finally sat around 8pm. The restaurant is a small, cute, close seating spot. The Valentine's Day menu was good, we had the ribeye which was yummy, cooked really nicely. It did seem a little chaotic in there for a little bit, we kept getting the wrong food to our table and then out food out of order but eventually things straightened out. I would say if you go here on a special event night don't be in a rush and have time to wait. The food was delicious, you could tell the menu was well thought out and prepared. The bar drinks are really good. Service overall was good, our server was friendly and fixed any issues we had very quickly. There is only one restroom so go before you head here for sure lol we will go back in the future.

    Spanish Dates

Had a great time here! The food was awesome, especially the lamb chops and the Spanish dates (we actually ordered them twice). Everything paired really nicely with the Spanish red we had too. But I did feel portions were way bigger than I expected for tapas. The place itself is super cozy, but once it started to fill up, it got pretty loud and the service slowed down a bit. Overall, though, it was a lovely evening and a great date night spot.

I've been seeing this spot all over social media, so we had to check it out! Definitely recommend making a reservation--it's a small space with limited seating. The parking lot is also tiny, so driving isn't ideal. The menu is on the smaller side, but it looks like they rotate the options. Cocktails range from $16-$25, featuring fresh juices and mezcals, and the wine selection is excellent. We started with the jamón, but it was a bit underwhelming--the sauce overpowered the meat. The croquettes were average, nothing memorable. The highlight of the meal was the ribeye steak: top-quality meat, perfectly cooked, and a generous portion. If we return, it would be for a bottle of wine and that incredible steak--but be prepared, it's pricey!

Oh my goodness! What a find! This is the best restaurant we have been to in years. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic. The best bite of food was the Spanish Dates paired with the pickled veggies were problematically delicious. But make no mistake, everything we ate was amazing. The drinks were all great, unique. The drink of the evening was the Como La Flor. A perfect balance of sweet, tart and wonderfully floral. You need to make it a point to get here!!

Made a reservation, smooth sailing check in! Waited for the rest of our party and got to order a drink while sitting in the cute patio area. Great cocktails! The best part were the bacon wrapped dates for sure...burst of flavor! The rest of the food was great as well. Such a cute place, thankful for the most chill server welcoming us to our first night moving to AZ!

It was the best octopus I've had in a while, the char flavor and slight crisp was amazing. We enjoyed the creamy sauce, artichokes, and other veggies that came with this dish. The cauliflower and golden beets were incredible too. The chef told us that the Japanese sweet potato was one of the popular dishes, but out of everything we ordered, it was surprisingly my least favorite. The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

The cozy, intimate comfort of what used to be Coup des Tartes blended seamlessly with the deep, peaceful, gentle "love" you felt from House of Tricks into one calm, warm, easy spot. Farish House is a real, soul-warming experience across the board. The service, care, comfort, ambience, food, value and clear love they put into everything make Farish House our new favorite place. We walked through the front gate, up onto the front porch and inside where we took one of three small tables in the cozy front salon of this soul-warming 1899 French Bistro. *Food: we started with a bottle of Australian Cab. Shockingly good. And not crazy expensive, especially on Thursday when bottles are 30% off, it was an amazing deal. Turns out, the owner, Greg, was in the wine distribution business for several decades, curating wine programs for top Valley restaurants, so he really knows his stuff and their vast wine selection is amazing. We were offered a basket of truffle popcorn, mmm, salty, crunchy, and rich. We ordered the Chef's Selection Charcuterie and Warm Noble Baguette & Marinated Olives to get started. Both were beautifully curated, balanced, and incredibly high quality. The flavors and textures blended perfectly. with cheeses broken from large wheels, rather than cut and sliced, house-made pickled grapes, unique and unusual ingredients, smokey meats, compound butters, just awesome! We then moved into one of the cozy dining rooms and ordered the slow roasted Peposo Short Ribs and fingerling potatoes pan fried in duck fat served with Moroccan spiced aioli. Both were rich, warm and delicious. For dessert, and yes we thought we'd explode from all this food, we ordered a massive slice of bread pudding, some of the best I've ever had, rich, gooey and incredible. Along with that we ordered a beautiful Espresso Martini and an off-menu banana cream martini. Their drinks are not "poured" or mixed here, they're balanced and expertly crafted. This is French Bistro comfort food at its finest and it's unmistakeable. *Service: it just doesn't get better. Everyone working there is "family". And that's how they make you feel; like family, cared for, wanted, welcomed. Service isn't a choreographed masterpiece, no tuxedos, cloths draped over arms, napkins frantically re-folded when you step away, dishes served and cleared in unison. No, it's relaxed, warm, friendly, kind, like being at your grandmothers house and knowing you're surrounded by people who care. Met Greg and Katherine, the owners, and their daughter Alexandra and several other "family" members taking care of us. Their appreciation for your presence is unmistakable. *Ambience: it's just plain comfy, cozy, easy, relaxed, warm, deep, gentle, worn (in a good way), wise, and calm, that's the best I can describe it. Hard wood floors, cozy rooms, soft, warm lighting. It's a non-pretentious, French bistro that feels like the home of a favorite grandma or great aunt living in a warm family cottage in the outskirts of Paris. *Value: it's perfect. It's not ridiculously expensive like Kai, Brinkley's, Cafe Monarch, Christopher's, or French Laundry where you go, "okay, that was fun but we'll only do this very occasionally/rarely and it's probably worth it, but dang that was pricey!" No, Farish House is 100% value to experience, not cheap, but not overpriced, the balance is just right. It's a place you can go often, and we will. Yes, our meal with apps, drinks and dessert, some on happy hour and the Thursday wine special, was around $200. I'd happily say this experience was worth every penny. *Overall: I can't recommend Farish House highly enough. Parking is on the street or in a nearby lot, and that's a downtown thing. There's a small lot in back. The food, ambience, service, quality, and experience were stellar. I wish I could rate them 6 stars instead of just 5. I'll return often and highly recommend Farish House to everyone. I genuinely hope you enjoy as much as we did!

I was lucky enough to have both of the owners (Kathryn and Greg) come by and greet us. This bottle (pictured below) of Pinot Noir was suggested to us, and we decided to have with our meals since our chosen dishes were beef and pork. One of the best wines I have had recently. We had the stuffed date appetizers which were devoured so quickly I did not have a chance to snap a pho My friend chose the beef short rib dish, which was well presented and extremely flavorful.
