Get the sazarita (house marg!) -- it is premade and sweet but not sickeningly so. So it's quick and easy, but also delicious! During our brief stay, we saw a couple get into a heated altercation before storming out (drama!!) but it was nice to see a few of the service workers go out and check on them to make sure things didn't escalate. We stayed in the indoor portion, so we didn't really explore the DJ area, but this place was packed on a Friday evening (~10:30pm) and folks seemed to be enjoying themselves! I will also note this place is efficient -- almost to the point of making you feel like they want you gone. The minute my sister finished her drink, the bartender scooped it up. That said, the efficiency is also quite appreciated because a server broke a glass right next to our table and within 2 minutes it was cleaned up! read more

Sazerac is a great spot for a quality nightcap (and some lat night food truck eats). My colleagues executed an EPIC event, and after 15+ hours working on our feet, we needed a festive place with stiff cocktails and food. First, for a divey-style bar, the barkeep was really friendly. And they have good drinks. He made a stiff dirty martini, an espresso martini, and a few of their Mezcal-based "Smoke and Berries." Outside, we feasted on cheap eats from (I can't remember the name), but we ordered everything from tacos to nachos to fries and I think empanadas? Great music, great lighting, service, and drinks. Came to Sazerac for some late night drinks and snackies. We arrived after 11pm on a Thursday and the place was busy, but not packed. The space is casual and vibey. We went to the bar first to get our drinks. Service was fast and friendly. Sazerac doesn't serve food, but The Nach food truck is parked on their patio, permanently I believe. Half of the group ordered mezcal cocktails and the other half, martinis. Mine was an espresso martini, of course. Drinks were made quickly and tasted great. Then we made our way outside to The Nach food truck. We had just left an event where we didn't eat much so we were a bit hungry. Checked out Sazerac for the first time this past week! It was one of the only spots open past midnight on a Thursday for a cocktail, but absolutely fit the bill. They had a a good group of people inside, but we didn't have any trouble finding a table to sit and didn't have to wait too long to order a cocktail. I opted for the smoke and berries which is a mezcal cocktail. It was delicious! Perfectly smoky, refreshing and presentation was great. Our group got their four drinks within five minutes. I am not sure if they normally serve food during more regular hours, but late night, they have a great mexican food truck out on their patio! Came on a Monday night with my son who is apart of the lgbt community and I fully support him as well as any business affiliations! Naturally we wanted to Check this place out. We obviously were too early because it wasn't busy at all but the doorman pointed out that it will get busy later which makes total sense. We had one drink each before leaving snd definitely no complaints there! The best part was the warm welcome and service the bartender provided. I would go back to chat with that sweetheart any day, I was shocked to see there's a taco truck. Next time I wont eat before going and will try this gem and the tacos on a weekend. Went out to meet some friends and was a little early, so upon parking on the Street I was in front of Sazerac. The music was calling me so I went in, the vibe is very hipster and fun. I went to the bar and ordered the Sazerita which was quite good I might say! I enjoyed the atmosphere and ordered one more drink and I decided on a Prickly Pearadise beer and it was sooo good, and I'm not normally a beer drinker but they had a large selection of beer,lager, and IPAs the bartender was very helpful with my pick and even gave me a sample. Made a reservation, and they gave our tables away. Ended up having to leave because of it. The cigar aspect is way over exaggerated on the website. They had a very poor selection of cigars, and the ones they recommended were really bad. Couldn't even smoke it that long. They also had some nude images in the bathroom. Very gross. This is a fun bar in the downtown Phoenix area. They usually play good music and they have a very large patio with tons of chairs, tables and benches. They have a large bar inside where there's a few tables and a smaller bar outside. They also have a Mexican food truck in the patio for those who want a bite to eat. Drinks are okay and at good prices and the staff is usually nice. The security/bouncers are nice too, at least from our experience. They check ID at the door and are pretty good about keeping people who are too rowdy out. They have good margaritas though sometimes they can be hit or miss based on taste, same for other cocktails. They offer tons of beer options too. Is a very spacious bar compared to some others near by and one of our regular ones. They also do a pretty good job of staying on theme with the holidays. read more

One of the best margarita i've had in a long time! not too tangy, not too sour....just right!! My friend ordered some drinks from the bar tender and another bar tender came up while the original bar tender was making my friend's drinks and asked if "I" wanted anything. As I was ordering the original bartender came up and rudely told me not to order from the other bar tender and basically told the other bar tender to fuck off. Overall I wasn't dealing with this single bartender originally and could have ordered from anyone but for some reason this one person thought he owned us. 10/10 oh only 5, fine 5/5. I came on a first Friday around 8:30. Not terribly crowded was still able to find a spot at the bar and a free bartender. They told me no drink menu after 8 but that they could make whatever my heart desired (my words). I said something with cognac in a coupe, not too sweet. They made me a delicious cognac cocktail with aperol, lemon juice and peach. Top notch, will be back, great music too! read more

I love Sazerac! We went out on the night before thanksgiving which was very fun and very busy! We still were met with great service and it was pretty quick. They have a wide variety of drinks from wines, beer, ciders, cocktails, you name it, and prices are decent. On weekdays they also do happy hour which was a nice surprise on a separate occasion. They also have a delicious food truck in the outside area, my favorite is the fried zucchini bites! First time at Sazerac PHX, I wasn't sure what to expect. They have a nice sized outdoor patio area. Inside it's always busy trying to order drinks at the bar. The clientele seems to favor a younger to middle age crowd. Gay and lesbian crowd are prevalent there but there are also a fair mix of patrons who aren't. I had a vodka tonic which was ok, I think the best part of my experience was the fun playlist peppered with the MTV generation throwback songs that everyone knows and likes.
