I'd give 3.5 for an average smoothie and experience! I do love the many offerings the establishment offers, but must say it IS quite expensive and over the top for an average smoothie. I had the Tropic Thunder and it was delicious! I loved the balanced of it. Quite watered down actually and not thick like an average smoothie thick texture. The employee was ok. Not bad service, no greeting or anything, but she was nice and efficient. Average service.

Great healthy option in Plant Street Market. Today, I ordered the avocado mango smoothie (coconut water, avocado, mango, spinach - $8.99) and the chickpea salad ($6.99). The smoothie was made to order, and the chickpea salad was packed in a plastic container in the cooler. - Parking was easy, I parked right in the lot. - Service was to be expected, smoothies made to order - about a five minute wait. - Overall great option if you want a feel good, nourishing lunch.

Plant Based Nachos with Vegan Chorizo- Huge Delicious and Filling.
    Joe S.

One pet peeve of mine is when dining at a restaurant, ordering a reasonable amount of food, and leaving hungry. I had no idea what I was in for when I ordered the Plant Based Nachos with Chorizo. This vegan mound of deliciousness was just what Joe needed after riding the West Orange Trail. I had no idea this place had delicious food like this, so don't let the name fool you. They have more than just juice! Nachos are my new juice! I was so stuffed that walking around the Winter Garden Farmers Market was miserable. I rarely get that full with one item, so that's saying a lot. It's inside the Plant St. Market if you're looking for it, and you should be.

    Island Paradise Smoothie

Pulled up to this place in the Plant St Market and had a nice experience. The lady that was working was super kind, patient and knowledgeable. The first Island smoothie was really good and friend then I decided to grab another one by request of my daughter. She wanted something Purple and she made it happen with a smile. The whole market is fresh and clean so we will be back. It's not the cheapest place but I didn't mind. There are other options such as juices, açaí bowls and sandwiches I believe.

How the acai presentation use to be...

This establishment has sadly gone down hill. I use to come here often to get acai bowls & smoothies. Unfortunately, when I stopped in today, a girl with wavy brunette hair was working and she made my smoothies awful. I ordered an avocado & mango smoothie, this smoothie contains spinach in it, and i kid you not, there were spinach leaves that weren't even blended and there were CHUNKS of avocados in my smoothie (see photo). I had also ordered a PB & J smoothie for family and she didn't ask me what my choice of fruit would be (she assumed i wanted strawberries & blueberries i guess) nor did she ask if I wanted honey or, agava for my acai. The presentation of acai bowls were much better before vs now (photos attached). Very disappointing to see a place like this change

Press's Juice Bar & Kitchen sells delicious juice, smoothies and healthy food items but I go for the Chia Pudding. It's one of my favorites and something that I can't get anywhere else close by. On my recent visit I purchased four chocolate puddings and all of them taste fresh and were delicious. I was tempted to toss in a couple of cupcakes but at the last minute I changed my mind and ordered a grasshopper smoothie. It is made with wheatgrass, ginger, cucumber, pineapple, celery, coconut water and honey. It's a refreshing smoothie and something that I order occasionally. Service is always good and the entire staff is friendly.

First time trying Cocoa Chai Pudding. As a fan of chocolate pudding as a child I still loved its Vegan cousin. It satisfied my chocolate loving sweet tooth.

    a plate of food

I ordered loaded nachos because I saw someone's order and it looked real nice. The chips and loaded topping with the guacamole on top was nice. I wanted to order a lot of dishes because it's a vegan spot. I was excited. Everything I told her that I wanted something she said they were out. It was 6:05 and she told me they were about to close. They close at 7pm. OK. The Nachos was a go but no wrap, no soup and everything else we wanted. She told me the food will be ready in 15 min. She was cool but when I got my food, i notice no chips. We digged in and found crushed chips in the bottom. I tried to be a good sport and kept eating with a fork since all the chips were crushed. I took a fork full and tasted nothing but salt. That's when i drew the line. I brought it to the lady's attention and all she can say was do you want a refund. So you knew you sold be garbage? She said she doesn't cook it, it's the chef in the kitchen. I will not be going back.

    Heart Beet
    A. C.

(11/13/2019) Got a juice to go for the SO recovering at home from surgery. Wanted to get the vegetables in, in some form. The Heart Beet had a nice sounding mix of beets, carrot, apple, orange and lemon juices. Flavor was sweetened only by the fruits, decidedly tart from the citrus. Note: these are unpasteurized, so def you need to keep refrigerated at the appropriate temperatures. On another note: the bottles are little leaky (not airtight), and if you get the Heart Beet, you may get some very bright red spills on whatever.

You build your meal by choosing your base, veggies, protein, and dressing as you go down the line. I ended up with the kale Caesar, sweet potato noodles, marinated tomatoes, almond chicken, curried chickpeas, and the Green Goodness dressing. It was definitely an interesting combination, and it really hit the spot. From looking at Yelp photos, it seems like there are more ingredient options if you order in-store than through Uber Eats, so I'd probably try that next time. My only real complaints are that the portions felt a little small for the price, and not every flavor combination is a winner. But if you're looking for a fresh, customizable meal with lots of healthy options, it's definitely worth checking out.

The restaurant was empty, out there was another Indian couple eating, so I thought that's a good sign. We visited for a late lunch on a Friday. It comes with a main dish, two apps, soup and a dessert. Pani puri to start with the green shots, the dahi puri comes with a yogurt sauce. Samosa was perfect and I ordered the Chilli chicken with fried rice. It was soooo good, I ordered it medium but it was pretty spicy. I really loved the flavor, so unique. My husband ordered the chana masala, which was also very good. I loved the sweet ending with 1 gulab jamun, covered in the typical honey sauce. The bhaji was fried with mostly onion and potatoes, and pretty good with the mint chutney provided. The soup was more flavorful, with either tofu or paneer and the broth having both Indian and Chinese spices. I went with the butter chicken for my main plate, and request hot level spice. My mom ordered the misal pav, while my dad took the green curry with paneer. My butter chicken was good, but there was no heat noticeable. While I tasted some spices, there was no fuel to any fire. The chicken was a bit in the tougher side, but still enjoyable because I believe it had tandoori flavor. My mom's misal pav had more heat, and was good with the lentils. After adding onions and other toppings, it brought the Indian street food flavor. We took rice instead of the bun. My dad's green curry was also good, but on the sweeter side. The paneer as the requested protein was consistent in the texture. For dessert, we took two orders of ras malai, which was homemade. It was definitely a legit dessert with the ricotta cheese balls in the milky sauce with Indian spices on top. Just delicious! After finishing the food, we all agreed that it was quite enjoyable. The service was attentive and it was table service, but there were some things we had to do ourselves. A large bottle of water was provided, and we have to fill our cups ourselves. We also had to move our used plates and items to the side of the table, the made the space quite cramped. We also packed the foods ourselves to take home. However, our server was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very casual, with various movie posters on the tables, and the music playing classic Indian movie songs. The dining area is small, but it was pretty quiet with not many people when we were there. Mirchi is located in a strip mall in Colonial and Dillard Street intersection, and parking was not difficult. Mirchi reminds me of a smaller version of Bombay Street Kitchen, with just a smaller dining area and more limited selection. I wish they still had South Indian options like dosa, but they stopped about two months ago. Still, for street food, it was quite enjoyable, and the prices were reasonable. We paid about 85 dollars after tips. Just expect casual, no frills atmosphere. If you are looking for a more upscale experience, their sister restaurant, Cilantro is a couple miles away in downtown Winter Garden. With the good Indian food at reasonable prices, we will come back, and also give Cilantro a try as well. Overall: B

We went for the Thali, and it arrived like a feast--beautifully presented with a wide variety of dishes that felt both generous and thoughtfully prepared. The portions are no joke here; it's the kind of meal that keeps you going back for "just one more bite." What's even better is that they're happy to offer additional servings if you're still hungry, which makes the experience feel warm and hospitable rather than transactional. Flavor-wise, the food really shines. Each component of the Thali carries its own personality--rich, aromatic, and rooted in tradition. You can tell the kitchen isn't cutting corners when it comes to spices and authenticity. That said, a few items leaned a bit on the salty side for my taste. All in all, it's a place that delivers on both quantity and authenticity. Having to wait in a line to order food and then wait again at the bar to get a bartenders attention to then wait again for a drink is a hassle and a bit annoying. The bartenders are also quite slow here we have noticed (both upstairs and down). We have waited for drinks longer than food on more than one occasion. So this leaves me alone holding our table while my husband waits for drinks to be made and often food gets delivered while that happening and starts to cool. Annoying right?
