If you've ever been to a Core Life Eatery, this is just like it. You pick your fresh, healthy ingredients and they turn it into your meal. I ordered the 3- bowl cauliflower potato mash, almond baked chicken, basil mushrooms, kale pesto tomatoes with holy kale sauce on the side. They said the cauliflower potato mash was a 6-minute wait which I said was ok. I got a blended fruit drink and a table outside (the inside was packed). Washed my hands and went to check on my meal. They said it would be 15 minutes longer, and apologized, I asked if I could just get brown rice instead because my friend was eating and I didn't want to be further delayed. They gave me the brown rice and a coupon for a free bowl next time. And then brought me out the cauliflower potato mash when it was ready which was only about five minutes. We had a recent experience at this Fresh Kitchen location at Winter Garden Village. It was crazy busy as it was a Sunday. We got the six ball and it was a generous portion. The staff at the line were not engaged; however, the cashier at the end was welcoming, friendly and engaging. The noise level was high. The food was not as tasty as the Fresh Kitchen that we normally go to on Orange Avenue. This is a bowl assembly concept similar to Chipotle, but focused on healthy selections. My choice was coconut rice and kale slaw topped with chickpeas and salmon. The ingredients worked well together. The sriracha-based sauce I selected was fairly bland, but my wife's ginger sauce was excellent. Updated Review After speaking with the FK management team I went back to the restaurant again. The restaurant manager and staff were great and very understanding. I ordered a six bowl, drink and cookies. I was pleasantly surprised on how delicious it was and how tender the steak was! We sampled a few different sauces but you really didn't need them since the food was tasty as is! We went after the rush since FK gets busyyyy and it was a great decision. My boyfriend was recommended to check out this place by his hairdresser and I am so glad we were! The set-up is similar to Chipotle in that you move down an assembly line and choose the various items you want on your bowl. They have so many amazing options and everything we tried was so yummy! All of the workers were so friendly and efficient! They are patient when it is your first time and will help walk you through whatever you have questions on. There is a fair amount of indoor and outdoor seating, and a good sized parking lot out front. We have already been here twice and have loved it both times. When you walk in, you're drawn by the smell of well seasoned vegetables! The set up is similar to Chipotle. You line up and build your bowl through a window. The employees were super friendly and happy to be there, and the place is spotless. Every spill, it was wiped. I'm all about cleanliness and I felt very comfortable in this place. I ordered the "six item" bowl which included: brown rice, cauliflower mash, lemon broccoli, basil mushroom, roasted salmon and bbq chicken. All for $13!
