I was a little reluctant at first about sending the ECU off my 2012 MB CLS 550 to Scott at Pressertech. I spoke to him several times over the phone before making a decision to do it. He assured me if I follow the guide he sent me I would have no problem taking it off and mailing it to him and putting it back on again. He was right! I had to play with it a little because It was kinda snug in place but I finally got it off in about 10 minutes. The second issue I had was the time frame he said he could complete the process and have it back to me. One day is all he said he would need. I FEDEX it overnight, he got it 7:30 am the next morning and by 12:00 noon, he was texting me to let me know they were working on it and by 3:30 he was finished and had it back in the mail to me. I got it the very next morning. The third issue I had was whether the tune up would live up to the promise of more power and better gas consumption. I reinstalled the ECU, no problem at all. I couldn't wait to drive it. I will tell you this, and you can believe me, I would not lie to you. My car went from awesome power to now a beast on the highway. The ECU tune up (Does) deliver as promised. I went from 402 hp. to 540 hp. and from 443 lb. of torque to 702 lb. of torque. I floored it and the thing literally took off like a jet, pinning me to drivers seat until I let up off of it. My car had 171k miles on it and it feels like its been reborn. These guys are the best I've dealt with in a long time. I called them a couple months ago because my '08 MB CLK550 was failing to start where the engine was at operating temp. The ECU had been repair about a year prior by another company for a different problem (I won't name them here but they are located in North Carolina and have "Computer" in their name). This unnamed company nis the very worst......... Pressertech is the very best. They assessed the problem quickly (I think this is a somewhat common issue), but more importantly they identified other issues that would make repair of the ECU a very "iffy" course of action. They gave me a quote and a time to effect repair. My car has a Kleeman tune. Todd transferred everything to a replacement ECU and I picked it up within 48 hours of dropping it off to them. I have had no issues at all with the new unit, but I fell very confident that Pressertech would respond quickly and fairly if I did. It was a real pleasure to deal with a team that has the technical skill, business savvy, honesty, and commitment that I witnessed with Pressertech. Due to the length of this review, you might accurately guess that I don't write many (and those I do write are generally bad.. :)) and you would be right. I own a 2010 Mercedes E550 coupe with approximately 388 HP. I thought I would get a little more acceleration and less hesitation having the car tuned. After searching the Internet, I called Scott of Pressertech. He was pleasant, but more importantly, knowledgeable. He told me tuning the ECU would would meet my needs. He said if I mailed the ECU on Monday, he could have it back on Friday. He did what he promised and the tuning of the ECU met all of my expectations. My ignition switch on my 05' c230 was not turning. Called the dealer and they said over $2500 for the part it self and they have to install it. Bought the part from e-bay, and send it in for programming. It was very fast and friendly guys who knew what they was doing. Got a deal for the programming. Purchased EIS/ESL emulator for Mercedes C-Class for $575 with new key. When I installed it, after finding blown fuse, car started for the first time in 6 months. Mercedes wanted $1800 to fix it.
