3.5 Stars, Radio did not work at 1st, so they had to order a part and then I had to come back a 2nd time. SirusXM doesn't work unless you buy an adapter and I wasn't told this until after the fact. Knobs are now hard to turn and sticky. I asked to be fixed and they informed me they will loosen up over time. Overall good clean install and a big upgrade to my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. On 3/17/2021 Monster Customs upgraded my F-150 sound system. They came recommended by another car audio person. PAC Audio, Audio Control DM-608, Focal speakers, JL Stealth Box, Alpine PDX-V9, and I wanted all four doors covered with dead mat and wires, etc. This is my favorite; 10 hrs labor @ $100 an hour. Took them 3 hours... $5K total (they claimed they had multiple techs on my truck). Juan comes out to show off my new system. I'm a musician so my ears might be above average. Something didn't sound right. Juan tells me it sounds awesome. The stock system sounded way better. He gives me the "speakers need to break in" line. I get home, connected to the DSP with test tones and three of the four doors speakers were out of phase. They never even set up/configured the DSP. I called, made another appointment, and tell them that I would like the system set up properly (I paid for it). I'm being as nice as possible because I didn't want to piss anyone off. I guess they took me for a somewhat knowledgeable sucker. Sounded a little better but I would have banked the $5K at this point. Get home, connect to the DSP. They took the default settings and made a new configuration and named it Monster. But they didn't do a thing. I think they just increased the output on the amp. I spent the next month learning how to use the DSP. Every time I get into my truck, I'm reminded that I through away. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Seems like you have a 50/50 chance of having a good experience. Is $5K isn't enough? I don't know. I finally got around to taking the truck to Car Tunes. They tweaked the system and warranted the JL Stealth Box (speaker blew in 3 months) it sounds awesome. read more

Where to begin -- Absolutely top notch, stellar service and flawless install. Worked with Juan on my project (head unit install on a 2013 Sonata turbo). Car had an existing 4 channel amp and a mono amp out back for a sub. Juan was super patient with me because I had called the shop about 3 months ago to inquire about the install. My old aftermarket head unit was on the fritz and needed replaced (unit was only 3 years old). Its worth noting that older said unit was installed incorrectly by a shop locally that shall remain nameless. Anyhow, Monster customs customized my dash kit perfectly. (Word of warning to those with Hyundai Sonatas 2011-2013 -- dash kits online do NOT fit the vehicle properly if you had a factory nav unit). I can't say enough good things about these guys. Even had them put a HDMI hookup in the center console below radio and they revived my ability to charge my phone in my car. Had them tune my amp to my sub out back as well & it sounds killer. Will surely be back to these guys if I need any further install work on my current car (or my Honda Accord). Well done fellas! read more

By far the best car custom shop I've dealt with. I was looking for a new headunit for my 2019 4runner and came across this shop while searching on Google. On the initial visit, we decided to go with a Kenwood as it is more compatible with Android. I did not feel at any point I was being upsold and the prices matched the lowest prices I could find online. Lonnie is who I dealt with on the first visit. The install was also very good, which was done by John. There was one issue where the mic was not working. I left a voicemail since the shop was already closed by the time I arrived at home. I received a response in a timely manner and they even offered to send the technician to my house. This level of service is ridiculous. John arrived within hours of speaking to Lonnie on the phone and it ended up being an issue with the bluetooth and the issue was resolved quickly. In addition to this, John also installed a dash mount at no extra charge. I would strongly recommend this shop for any custom work for your vehicle. These guys really know how to treat their customers. I was looking to upgrade my car audio and took it to them to get their opinion and they checked over my (self-installed) system that consisted of front speaker upgrade, amp and powered sub and as I explained what I wanted to do, they knew exactly how to accomplish what I wanted well within my budget. This was long before I even mentioned what kind of budget I was working with. Even though my job was relatively cheap compared to all the projects they were working on, they treated me like I was their top paying customer. I'm usually not one to leave reviews but I do rely on them a lot so when service is this bad I just can't help but share. Let me start by saying Monster customs came highly recommended by someone who did an incredible wrap on my car. Due to his recommendation and their reviews I decided to check them out. I will also say the work they did to my car looks great, however the customer service and specifically one of their employees, Josh, is another story. To me, Josh was the epitome of bad service. Due to lack of communication and constant delays I ended up having to rent a car on my own dime because I was told my car would be done in an unrealistic timeline. On top of that he was extremely rude, dismissive and actually threatened not to do the work on my car when I brought up the fact that this was not very good service by them. All this made me angry sure, especially since it could have easily been avoided with a little communication, honesty and an effort to make things right, but I decided shrug it off. Shit happens and like I said the work looked great so I just wanted to chalk it up to a fluke and be done. Months later when I was having an issue with my vehicle I called to get some info on the parts that were ordered for my car. Come to find out they have no record of my transaction, absolutely nothing. The guy on the phone was very helpful but couldn't do anything for me seeing as he couldn't find any record of my transaction. He ended up connecting me with Josh who was just as rude and unprofessional as the first time I dealt with him. His response 'nothing I can do for you dude'. How do you not have a record of an job done??? We are talking about vehicles here. Parts were ordered and shipped, the job was discussed for weeks and yet there is no record of any transaction. Now I am stuck without information I need, which is making it hard for me to reorder parts needed for the car and claim a warranty on a part that was damaged. As I said Josh is just the epitome of horrible customer service. As far a Monster Customs they seem to do good work and the work on my car looked great. Just do yourself a favor and stay clear of Josh. As a result of his negligence, unprofessionalism and attitude I've lost money, time and have had to write this review. So if you decided to use Monster Customs take my advice, avoid a heartache and make sure you're dealing with anyone but Josh. read more

I had a Kenwood DNX891HD unit put in a week ago into my 2008 Porsche turbo instead of paying Porsche an equivalent amount just to replace the out of date GPS computer that failed. Glad I did. Much improved sound and GPS functionality. Best car radio I have used. Much better than OEM Bose. Steering wheel controls work as well for sound and station/program change. Monster Customs did an excellent job of installing the unit. Sales process was friendly (Jim, one of the owners), prices competitive, installation timely and clean. Looks as good as OEM but sounds and works much better. Couldn't ask for more. I'd recommend Monster Customs to anyone looking to upgrade their car audio. read more

I had a simple radio issue which I couldn't figure out myself so I bought it over to Monster Customs to see if they could help. Honestly I felt like I was wasting their time seeing how many high profile jobs they were working on. They were more than happy to troubleshoot my problem and later asked me to leave my car with them. A day or two later and they were able to find and fix the problem. It was a blown fuse located in an hidden kick-panel and they put my radio back together. Not only that but they also wiped down my car and had it ready for me to pick up later that day. I called to inquire about a stereo installation of an already purchased stereo system as well as a backup camera which was included. I explained I ordered the stereo system from Crutchfield and was told it wouldn't be a problem to install for no extra charge even if it wasn't purchased from them. He even knew the company I purchased it from when I told him. I was given a high and low. The high was $265.00 unless I needed additional wires for installation. My husband went by with the equipment to show them and price went up to over $300 because of back up camera in which was discussed and an additional charge for it not being purchased from them. I wanted a new audio system in an older car to have hands-free phone capability. I didn't need or want too much, but I wanted it done right. Juan understood my desires and we selected a unit that seemed to be right for me. However, the new unit didn't work right (defective from factory), and so I was frustrated. Juan offered to replace it with new one, but I was hesitant to replace it with a different identical unit. Juan then offered to install a higher end unit from a different manufacturer at no installation cost with me only paying the difference of the two units. Even though the more expensive one was more than I originally wanted, I am VERY pleased with what I have. The guys at Monster Customs really treated me well, and seemed to genuinely care about making sure I was a happy customer (even though by their custom car and audio standards I was a pretty small account). I even got a follow up call about a week after the replacement unit was installed just to make sure everything was fine. After recently destroying the back seats and carpet of my truck with the acid from a car battery, I started looking for replacement items. I found Monster Customs on a website they had them listed as a dealer for their speaker boxes. I went by the shop to see about getting a new box. Terry Dobbs was the gentleman that helped me, and not only did he get the box for me but he also got me some new speakers for it as well, and even went to pick up the new equipment and installed it the same day. While I was waiting, I took a look around the shop and no idea what all they did. After Terry installed the speakers, we talked about the other things that needed to be replaced because of the damage caused by the battery acid, and needless to say not only did I get what I originally went there for, but I also got new leather interior (front and back) with leather inserts for the door panels, new carpet and I even upgraded my sound system to the newest from Pioneer, complete with 2-10" subwoofers, 2 amps, and the 4100NEX head unit. Terry and the crew did an absolutely great job getting everything done with perfection and even finished in the 2 days as promised. They even took it upon themselves to do some modifications to the speaker box for a better fit under the rear seats, and some re-wiring of the system because it wasn't up to their standards, even though it was installed by a professional company (in which I will never use again). I plan on taking my truck back for more upgrades and will even take my '70 Monte Carlo in for some custom work. So I would just like to say thanks to Terry and the entire crew over at Monster Customs for an outstanding job and I wish nothing but the best for the future of Monster Customs. OUTSTANDING!!!! I must say that these guys are top notch!! I took my car in to get bluetooth installed and to upgrade my sound system. They put in the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX head unit, an Alpine amp, and Matts Pro speakers/subwoofer. The sound is incredible!! I am really impressed with the quality of the install, products, and the service. They took their time and explained the entire process to me. I had quite a few questions, but they were patient, honest and very informative. Everybody over there was just super nice and friendly. They even had their intern drive me about ten minutes away to Marietta Square so that I'd have places to hang out and eat while they worked on my car. (I left to get some lunch, but if you're not hungry, their waiting area is more than comfortable. They also have two large LG flat screens for you to watch while you wait). The intern was real cool and even eased my concerns I had regarding putting so much work into my car. Jim (one of the owners), called me when the work was just about done, to find out where I was so, he could come pick me up. White glove service! I'm telling you, everyone at Monster Customs was professional and respectful. I am going to have work done to my wife's car in the upcoming months and I may even add a little more work to my car. They upgraded my 16 Durango R/T with Velgen wheels, Nitto tires, Borla exhaust , K&N cold air intake and lowered it also. I can't say enough good things about this place. I was looking for a simple head unit and XM adapter for my wife's minivan. After looking at their website, I was almost embarrassed to bring it in. They've handled pretty much any car and job I can imagine! I went in knowing what I wanted: the Pioneer 4100 NEX. I wanted my wife to have Android Auto in the car. I was greeted by Terry who answered all of my questions easily. He didn't try to upsell me anything or change my mind. He was very professional and courteous. The building was very clean and neat; not what I was expecting from a car shop. I was on a tight schedule and Terry actually got me an appointment for the very same day, just a little later in the afternoon. He quoted me an estimated time of about 3 hours, but they were done in just a little over 2! Apparently, I already had an XM adapter on my car that I forgot about. Instead of saying nothing and charging me and additional $70 for one, Terry came to me and told me that I could still use the one I already had. His honesty saved me $70, but also made me a customer for life. If you are looking for a professional and honest car shop, this is it.
